| i need help to update my android tv Posted: 29 Jul 2021 08:21 AM PDT i got a smart tv as a gift the company is sony but it honestly feels like a chinese tv the android version is 5.1.1 its not updating on its own after i press on network update and i don't know where to download manual update also its only connecting to 2.4ghz wifi instead of 5ghz please help if there is no way to update it because maybe its a chinese tv then is there a way to download higher version of android tv i am able to download apks tho [link] [comments] | ||
| I need help transferring files over a wired connection from my android phone to my android tv Posted: 29 Jul 2021 05:50 AM PDT I don't know if I'm just dumb and can't figure it out but I've spent so long trying. Basically I want to be able to access the storage on my phone from my tv, as to be able to transfer video files trought my usb to usb type c cable, however nothing seems to work. I've tried a myriad of file manager apps, went trough every setting menu, tried accessing to tv storage trough my phone but I still didn't find a way to do it. I reiterate that I do not want to transfer files over wirelessly as mine is pretty slow and it sometimes fails halfway trought uploading a 2gb file. Is it possible? And if so how do I do it? Posted: 28 Jul 2021 01:00 PM PDT Are there Smart TV that support AVC HIGH 10 and HEVC Format Range hardware decoding? My current cheap Android TV plays basic AVC and HEVC fine with hardware decoding (I used MX Player to check if HW is possible), however If I try watching video with codecs mentioned in the title my smart tv uses software decoding and is not able to decode them in real time (I get half the framerate). | Any way to lower the device volume below minimum? Posted: 28 Jul 2021 01:16 PM PDT I bought a TV dongle today (Telekom Magenta TV Stick) that runs Android TV and so far I'm loving it. It plugs into my TV (Hisense 43AE7010F) via HDMI. However I can't adjust the volume for that optical output through my TV and the Android volume selector doesn't go low enough for comfortable listening even if I turn the DAC/AMP as far down as I can without causing channel imbalance (about 1/5 volume). I have a similar problem on PC but for that I simply use the program 'Equalizer APO' to apply a -20 dB volume reduction for the output. Is there a similar app available for Android TV that allows me to do this? Thanks [link] [comments] | ||
