| I can't use Android - x86's GUI Posted: 22 Jul 2021 12:16 PM PDT I tried installing Android x86 ON A REAL HARDWARE (NOT A VM). I searched on Google, but everyone use VMs for this installation. Everything was ok in the installation, but when I boot in the operating system, all I see is a command line. It might be driver issue, but if it's not please tell me! Any help would be appreciated! Posted: 22 Jul 2021 11:42 AM PDT I have a new A7 and added my kids accounts as 'users' (they are set as child within family link already). I logged in using my/parent account and downloaded the apps I want to allow them to use. Then I log in with their accounts, but none of them can see any of the apps that I've recently downloaded. How do I give those users permission to both see and open apps that are already installed on the device? [link] [comments] |

The odd time a video will appear, but usually they dont. But whenever I go on snapchat, it shows the video in my camera roll there, so I know it successfully downloaded. Is there a way to fix this? | How to delete system update file without installing it on Android 10 Posted: 22 Jul 2021 10:25 AM PDT A system update was auto downloaded before I could turn auto download off, now there is a notification always up that if I push it will update right away. Which I do not want to do at this time on my device. The System Update app cache/data or whatever is tiny, so clearing that wouldn't do the trick like in previous versions. Posted: 22 Jul 2021 10:23 AM PDT As far as i know, mediatek device's source code are kept secret and it is very difficult to make any custom ROMs for such devices. But here we are talking about OnePlus, having one of the largest developers community. Nord 2's specs are amazing but there are many users who buys phone so that they can flash some custom ROMs in it , like me. | Pause audio during GPS voice navigation. Posted: 22 Jul 2021 09:58 AM PDT I just reset my Pixel 3a and it has been a doozy getting it back to the way I like it. Seems that the last thing I can't figure out is how to get audio apps (YouTube, Pocketcasts, etc) to pause when GPS navigation is being spoken. It just ducks the audio. I had it pausing on everything before the reset. How do I get it back to pausing? When I Google this issue every single hit is for turning off the voice navigation. Thanks! [link] [comments] |
| How to gain write access to android/obb on android 11? Posted: 22 Jul 2021 09:43 AM PDT I have recently updated to Android 11. And from then I can't access and modify Android/Obb and Android/data. I used every available file managers (google files, X plore, etc) ,but i can just access the files but can't modify them i.e., can't move files into Obb and can't create new folders in Obb. | Phone keeps un-muting my call. Posted: 22 Jul 2021 09:36 AM PDT Hello! I have a Samsung Galaxy s20, and I often stay on the phone with my girlfriend for long periods of time. She often falls asleep, so I mute the phone so I don't bother her. Recently however, my phone keeps unmuting the mic. At first I thought I was doing it, but I know for sure I'm not now. I can leave my phone, checking to make sure it's muted before I leave, then when I get back it unmuted. It happens all the time and I have no idea what's causing it. Any help would be appreciated. Posted: 22 Jul 2021 08:44 AM PDT There was that "amazon 30th anniversary" link from last March (and first appeared in my country on June 9) When I got it from my friend on Facebook I was using fb lite so I couldn't see the description of the website And I didnt even think about if it is malicious or not I hopped right into the link It was a poor designed Amazon page (surprisingly no asking for personal data except age and gender unlike usual phishing sites) It was 4 questions at the start My age My gender Phone's OS Overall opinion about the survey I answered all 4 wrong (age 50+, phone is iOS, female, 0 rate) Then I had to choose from 9 boxes (won on 2nd try ofc) Then I had to share to 20 friends/5 groups All I did was press on "share" and then leave the forwarding message page on Facebook and come back to the website and the % bar would be far thinking I really shared to someone (while all I did was stare at the "forward to" list) Then there was the last step "DOWNLOAD OUR APP TO WIN THE PRIZE!!!" Here I was like "no, thanks" and left I put the link on Virustotal and came as malicious from 8 different AVs I freaked out and immediately downloaded Malwarebytes,Avast and mcaffee All came with no results of malware I checked any downloaded/installed app or file There wasn't any Also a side note: All victims claim to have received the link from a hacker who accessed their friends accounts but in my case my friend himself in a phone call confirmed he sent the link because he thought the giveaway was real What should I do now as there is no sign of something installed on my phone and no side effects or suspicious activity after opening that link Yet antiviruses claim it is malicious [link] [comments] |
| One Plus 8 pro keeps making notification sounds! Posted: 22 Jul 2021 08:36 AM PDT I don't know what's causing it, but every time I unlock my phone, launch an app, or am on a call/have Snapchat open my phone makes a notification sound! For some reason being on a call or having Snapchat open makes the sound happen every few seconds. I'm also pretty sure that it's causing my battery to drain a bit faster. I've checked recent notifications, tried restarting my phone, turning off wifi/Bluetooth/location, going into airplane mode... but nothing works! It's starting to drive me crazy. The phone I have is not broken. Ive searched on google but its about guides on how to disable google assistant and it seems theres no such settings for my phone. Ive also checked my google settings and I cannot find anything related to disabling open google app by long press then swipe down. This feature is annoying me and I have no idea how to turn it off.
