I've disabled Google Assistant because I don't feel comfortable sending my voice data to Google. I was able to use an ADB shell to uninstall some other stuff like Chrome, (I use Firefox) Google's messaging and file management apps, (redundant because OnePlus ships their own) as well as Sprint/T-Mobiles garbage. I don't want to completely remove the Google app for fear that it will break actually important functionality. [link] [comments] | ||

And that when it happens people can listen in on calls and / or read text messages, I told him that I highly doubted it. Regardless if it had happened or not how hard is it? I told him I would ask, the phone is using Android 11, last update May 1st 2021. I always felt like the phones were pretty secure (Note20). Also is there a way to "check" if anything happened, such as an app to run? I just wanted to prove to him that it was clean. Thanks EDIT: Don't even ask why he would be concerned... I would like to make stop auto updates for an app. Yeah I know the method to go to play store and find the app and the three dot at the right corner and untick auto update but I have one problem with it. If I use this method the other apps are not auto updating too. Posted: 08 Jul 2021 01:05 PM PDT Long story short I disabled the capacitive keys and added navigational buttons on the screen after installing a custom rom. I went back to stock firmware but the capacitive and the home button is still not working. I decided to flash another custom rom but bricked the phone in the process. I have TWRP back up but unable to restore due to not being able to reboot to recovery because of the non-functioning home buttom. [link] [comments] | ||

One would think the two would be unrelated, but it's happened way too many times to be purely coincidence. It's been going on for several months, I'll plug my phone in to charge, and I instantly get a notification pop-up saying "Google Play services requires an action." Clicking it leads me to the Google Play Games app settings, and the app is auto-disabled for some reason. I manually turn it on, but I receive no further prompts or anything. However, the next time I get the notification and click it, the app is auto-disabled again. Is this a problem with the app, or is something corrupted in my phone? Again, it explicitly seems to happen the moment after my phone gets plugged in to charge, as if the action triggers something in my device. [link] [comments] | ||

I have to enter the full word button by button. However it will work after I've attempted to swipe twice. So like b boy. That's a swipe of boy twice. Only worked the second time. I got a replacement. I set up the simplified view. But now the reading is all white. On my old phone it was all dark. Very easy on the eyes. | White noise when I connect my phone to my car stereo using an aux cable Posted: 08 Jul 2021 11:54 AM PDT My car doesn't have Bluetooth capability so I've always relied on an aux cable to connect my phone to my car stereo. My old LG Stylo 4+ did this without issue, but I just had to replace it. I got a Motorola Moto G Stylus 5G (2021 version), and when I connect it to my stereo it only plays static and hisses. The actual audio is completely drowned out by this. My phone was not charging at the time, it works fine with headphones, and I've tried a few different cables. I tried connecting to a portable speaker with the aux cable and it worked perfectly. The problem only occurs when I connect to the car stereo. Is there a fix for this? [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 07 Jul 2021 10:42 PM PDT I have a galaxy A51 5g. I recently it less than a year ago. I have sprint/AT&T. About 6ish months ago i tripped and dropped my phone. It hit the corner of my bed frame, and it didnt crack. When i checked to make sure everything was okay the camera started glitching a bit with a warning camera failed. I googled what was wrong and nothing seemed to come up. I reset data, force stopped, checked software updates but nothing was working. I realized my back/outward facing camera worked but as soon as i tried to flip it to front/selfie facing camera it stopped. It isnt just the pre installed camera app its also not working on insta, or snapchat. Im starting to think im gonna have to use my insurance on my phone and get an all new one. I'm looking for an app which has the ability to hide itself and the hidden app included within it I heard about Samsung secure folder but sadly my Samsung isn't compatible for it. I own a Galax A02s running Android 10. If any apps similar to what I described or any way to download secure folder works. Please let me know. I am looking for a way to hide the apps in my phone without making it obvious and for ways to prevent my files and information to be found and scrutinized, just in case they search my phone. I had an email from a name that I recognized, but I had never received an email from this person before, and I don't know how this person would have gotten my email address. I clicked on the email to open it. The email did not open. Instead, there was a pop-up notification that a file was being downloaded. I think the name of the file was security.apk. I clicked on the email again, and the same thing happened. Then I deleted the email. I recently remembered this, and it's been bothering me. I don't use that phone anymore. You know that little bar on your phone that you always have up there (the one with battery %, time wifi etc.). Not when you swipe it down but when you normally have it. So the problem is that he can't see his time and battery there just because they are so small for him. Is there a possibility to increase the size of this bar?
