I go in as usual, but it won't populate the site. Google play opens, so I could add apps if I wanted. The page Manage Apps and Device just won't finish loading. I've exited and returned. I've done some research about custom roms and i've found that Havoc OS and EvolutionX are customizable as RR. I pretend to install both on its latest Android 10 Builds (Evolution X 4.7 and Havoc OS 3.12), but idk wich of those has more features, stability and customization. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 18 Jun 2021 10:47 PM PDT I was helping someone switch phones, and before switching I backed up their data using google's cloud backup under 'settings'. I messed something up really badly and need to access files in that backup. The files have already been deleted on the phone itself. The only option I can see is to do a full restore using that data. Is there any way to restore a single app to a new or old phone using that data? Or to view the files directly? [link] [comments] |
| My phone refuses to download anything on the sd card Posted: 19 Jun 2021 11:55 AM PDT Soo I posted something about this earlier and got no help, but I did something that may shine some more light on this I made my sd card to be portable, then it deleted discord (the only app that somehow got installed on the sd) and then I made it internal again. I tried downloading discord after it was deleted and it decided to not install on the sd card this time and I cant install it again. I tried moving messenger on my sd card as well but it told me that there was not enough space even doe I have 30gb of free space. [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 19 Jun 2021 11:17 AM PDT I have a pixel 2 and it's battery keeps failing at 30 to 40%, or anytime I take a photo. the phone will restart because the battery isn't providing enough power. Same with time to take a photo with the brightness too high. I just want to keep it going until the next pixel comes out, so is there a way to turn off live photos, or lower the resolution, or do anything to make the camera use less power? [link] [comments] |
| Issues with Gmail and Family Link Account Posted: 19 Jun 2021 10:50 AM PDT So I am attempting to install gmail on a tablet that i am giving to my son (5 year old) that has a google account that is managed via family link. When I install gmail on the tablet his account is not listed. I can click "Add an email address" that has me login to my account then gives me the option to add a school account. If i click "TAKE ME TO GMAIL" it tells me "Please add at least one email address." Any ideas here? I assume it is a setting somewhere in the convoluted family link app. [link] [comments] |

| Phone refuses to download apps on my memory card Posted: 19 Jun 2021 10:26 AM PDT its an old nokia touchsceen phone (not sure if the exact details matter) and I recently put a memory card in it so I can download stuff from the play store. Yet, it refuses to use the memory card to store the apps in Ive got 8 gb free in the memory card and whenever I try downloading something from the appstore it tells me to delete apps like spotify or steam which even if I do, I wont have enough for the apps I want Please help me if anyone has any kind of resolution since I cant buy a new phone and Im dealing with this since 2019. Apparently, since the June 2021 update, as far as I can tell, a default browser app is forced. I use 5 different browsers on my phone for different purposes, and want to choose for myself. How do I clear the default browser app so it allows me to select the browser to use each time I open a link from the GBookmark app, like I was able to do prior to June 2021? Thanks! | Huawei Mate 9 Won't Turn On After Forced Shutdown (via holding the power button) Posted: 19 Jun 2021 09:59 AM PDT I was using my mate9 yesterday, at about 80-85% charge when my screen seemingly froze. I was on reddit via a firefox tab. I also had messenger and the youtube apps open in the background. Only firefox was in use, i was not using split screen. I pressed and held the power button until the screen turned off. Once I was sure the phone was off (screen went black after around 30 seconds) I set it down and waited around 30 more seconds before pressing and holding the power button again to turn the phone back on. I held for 15 seconds and stopped. Then held for 30 seconds and stopped. Then held for over a minute and stopped. I plugged the phone in to the charger and tried again. None of these things gave any response and when plugging the phone in the screen did not change (light up or show anything), the charge LED did not illuminate and i did not get anything on the screen saying how much the phone was charged. I have also tried pressing the volume up button and power button at the same time while connected to the charger, and while disconnected from the charger after 3+ hours on said charger (I still have the original charger that came with my phone. I've had no issue with it). I've also tried pressing the volume down and the power button at the same time. No Luck. I've also tried pressing both volume buttons and the power button at the same time. Again while charging and while disconnected from said charger. I have also plugged the phone into my laptop (one which i've used with the phone before) and the computer does not even recognized that a usb device has been connected. Finally i've also tried to use the 'find my phone' function i've used before to force my phone to ring in case the phone was on but only the screen was black. I got nothing from that. It seems to me that this phone is completely dead and I've no idea why. TLDR: Turned off (a nearly fully charged) Mate9 via holding the power button and now cannot turn the phone back on (or get any kind of response) through any means I've found online. | 2-Step Verification when using Find My Device Posted: 19 Jun 2021 09:42 AM PDT I have searched for an answer, but no luck (or i simply am that stupid). I lost my phone last night and go to my pc and login to find my device. It then wanted 2 step verification using my phone, hmmmm. Try another way only gave me options for a text to my lost phone, to my tablet or some other way that would take 3-5 business days. After a few minutes, i remotely logged into my work computer and was already logged into my google account and from there I used Find My Device successfully. I read that I can use my old PC as a way to set up a network drive and after a quick study, I configured an NFS server on it. | AT&T Galaxy S8 fast-charge acting strange. Posted: 19 Jun 2021 06:43 AM PDT So my fast-charging seems to be struggling to charge my phone quickly out of nowhere. The estimates it gives me for when I'll have a full charge depending on my battery level is 7-14 hours. One odd part, is that the charging slows down whenever I turn my display screen on -- to the point that my battery life will actually backslide if my screen is on. I turned my fast-charge off and it doesn't do this. An additional odd thing I noticed is that my charging LED is on when my phone is plugged in and it's display screen off, but the second I wake up the display, the charging LED goes off. But the phone stays charging the whole time. I'm not sure how to proceed, and appreciate any advice! [link] [comments] |

| Android device not detecting it is connected to a computer Posted: 19 Jun 2021 04:25 AM PDT Hey, my android device Samsung A21s, was working every single time until this morning, it just turned off the usb tethering by itself, I looked to my phone, and it only said that it was charging, like when you put it in a wall plug. I don't see anything to set USB mode, in the notification, it acted as if it was not connected to a computer. I restarted the phone, used another USB cable, done almost everything, it will sometimes come on again, and will tether, then randomly just disappear again. Has anyone else experienced this or not? It is working now for example, i'm using tethering to make this post from my computer, but idk when it will just disconnect again. I would really appreciate your help guys. So far I found on google : the Google pixel 4a & the Samsung s10e to be the best ones. I dont know about the chinese brands like Xiaomi, Huawei etc maybe they are making good & cheap small smartphones ? When I open the terminal and type "adb device's" it lists my device with "unauthorized" next to it. I've torn apart every "how to" video and tutorial on Google and YouTube such as turning off and on adb on phone, revoking privileges, deleting old adb keys, and kill/start server, reinstalling adb drivers, everything but nothing is working. So I went to app info via recent apps and uninstalled the updates. Today when I opened lens the updates were once again applied. How do I stop this from happening ? Auto updates is disabled in Play store. App version after uninstalling updates : 12.4.9.23.arm sorry forgot to note the updated version number.
