| Posted: 26 Jun 2021 08:52 AM PDT Hello everyone! I need some help in fixing an Asus ZenFone Go from 2016. It shut down after an Android update(?), And since then, it can't be turned on again. It gets to the Asus logo, and the WSOD shows up. Sometimes it just shuts down after the logo. It also manages to go until the optimizing apps part, then it gets stuck at around 90 and the screen flickers with some pixels showing up. I did the factory reset, cache clear. And the only time the screen acts okay is when its in that menu. Could it be that the display is broken? Or was it something with the android update? Any possible fixes? Thank you [link] [comments] |

Also I found some bugs , like blurred backgrounds in apps, problems with notifications. Did this happen to anyone else? Can anyone please help find solution for this? Thank you [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 26 Jun 2021 01:08 PM PDT I've been having this issue for about a week now, there is no physical damage to the USB-C port. Issues: Sometimes my computer doesn't detect my phone, Once the USB Tether is enabled it will disable itself when the phone is unlocked (after going to sleep/turned off), Sometimes the connection to the phone will just disconnect/reconnect (like a physical port issue) Attempted fixes: After restarting the phone, it will be detected again (most of the time), but the instability issue continues. Updating / uninstalling drivers related to the connection interface, including hidden devices, power saving related issues on Windows, couldn't find any related to Mobile Data on the Android, Windows updates, Another Samsung System Update which didn't resolve the issue [link] [comments] |

Posted: 26 Jun 2021 12:45 PM PDT Hey guys, i got a Tablet and wanna install a new Version of Android because there is 5.1 installed which is too old and some Google stuff isnt working. This will be my first time doing it so im not sure how to find out which Version i need or should take. I got a guide here for installing it then, but yeah. I can´t really find something about the manufacturer but ill give u the info i have: Verico RP tablet The Guide says i should use Android Studio SDK is that the right way to go? If I tap on it it takes me to these physical keyboard settings that I don't know what to do with because I'm not using the physical keyboard on my phone. | Keep podcast player controls on lockscreen permanently? Posted: 26 Jun 2021 11:39 AM PDT I am using a Samsung A52 5g if if makes a difference for this. When I am playing a podcast, my player has a widget on the lockscreen. If I pause the podcast and go back later, the widget has usually been removed by other notifications. Question: is there a way to force the podcast player to stay at the top of my lockscreen always so that I don't need to unlock the phone to resume a podcast? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |
| Android Bug involving Text Messaging. Posted: 26 Jun 2021 07:40 AM PDT OK so I have a brand new Galaxy A71 5G, and I keep getting this error on text messaging saying my messages are not sending, yet the person is receiving and replying to them. It typically takes about a minute before the error message occurs, often after the person has already replied. Everytime this has happened, I have had at least 3 bars of service via T-mobile AND I'm connected to fast wifi, so that's not the issue. I've searched on google but it appears to only address messages genuinely not sending, which is not my problem. Anyone heard of this occurring and any suggestions for a fix? [link] [comments] |
| Samsung a21s Android slowly breaking Posted: 26 Jun 2021 10:39 AM PDT I have a Samsung a21s phone. I bought it nearly a year ago, and so far it has been great. But recently things have started going wrong. I haven't had an Android update for a month or so when it was updated to android 11. I have been using Hi-tech launcher 2 Pro. The first thing I noticed was that Google assistant didn't open when I said "Hey Google" but it still responded. The only way I could get it to pop up was to open the Google assistant app. This has somehow fixed itself. Next when I opened the recents menu(?) the quick access apps at the bottom of the screen had reverted to the default android robot thing. I solved this by switching back to One UI then back to the above launcher. But I fear this is rather temporary. Then the fingerprint sensor on the back of the phone stopped working, I first noticed by trying to scroll down to open the notification panel. Then when I picked it up, it said something like: "The fingerprint sensor isn't responding at the moment, please try again later" It hasn't gone back. One article I found online said to clear the phones cache from the phones recovery menu. I looked up how to get into recovery mode, and it said to turn the phone on whilst holding the power and volume down button. But when I do that, it gets stuck in a loop of "Samsumg A21S powered by android" then goes black, then vibrates and does it again. If I have to factory reset my phone, please can someone tell me the best way to back up my phone, and how to load the backup onto my reseted device. Thanks in advance! [link] [comments] |
| Huawei P30 cell standby at 100% Posted: 26 Jun 2021 10:32 AM PDT This happened between 5-6am when I was sleeping, the cell standby time awake was 59min and my battery drained from 17%-3%. Cell standby was around 10% looking at the previous hours. Any other time it's at 0%, while it is only my software apps draining batteries when not in use. I'm just wondering if this is normal or should it be a concern. And what caused this to happen? [link] [comments] |

Well I would love to flash a custom rom, but I'm not exactly certain if it's possible. My phone is currently running Lollipop 5.0.1 and it's rather bogged down with applications. I'd like to start fresh, but I'd also like to start with a better distribution, one more customizable than stock. I ask to know if this is possible? I haven't tried much, as many posts said that "the bootloader was locked" and it was "hopeless." But all posts relating to this rather old device were all from the year 2014 or so. And I would certainly hope applications and techniques have evolved overtime. So... is this thread helpful to me? Can I get Lineage or an equivalent on here? I'm happy to add more information. | Posted: 26 Jun 2021 01:05 AM PDT Hi ! The Android app APKs on APKMirror don't seem to load on my Android phone. Currently the APKs on there span the Android TV, Sony TV and Fire TV variants. The first two installed just fine but then the app wasn't visible anywhere on the library/drawer and the latter was visible after install but the app wouldn't work properly. It asked me to install the Amazon Store in order to get it to work and all but then logging in wouldn't work on the Amazon Store app. Anyone have any ideas how to get the app to work ? I know that we can technically watch it in a browser but I'd like the app to work please because that should get better video quality and HDR support. I know that you can sideload Android apps to Android TV and Fire TV and all but I'm wondering if it can work the other way around. Thank you ! [link] [comments] |
| What's with my Whatsapp background activity? Posted: 26 Jun 2021 09:23 AM PDT Hello, in the Settings page of my phone (Pixel 3XL) when I look at whatsapp it says it's been active in the background more then 1 day since last charge (which was 4 and a half days ago). It didn't use much battery (3%), at least that's what my battery usage says. Now I'm kinda confused. Is that an android displaying bug or does it actually run in background and just doesn't use battery and if yes why? It also says active in foreground 2 hours which is not really true, at least if it only counts when I have the app open. It happens a lot of times that when I look at my phone there is a whatsapp notification saying "looking for new messages". Maybe that counts as active? I hope I explained my question enough and hope someone has a clue why the activity is that high. One last thing that comes to my mind is every night when it does its backup it takes sometimes a lot of time to start it and then does it in the morning. Maybe that hanging also counts as active? | Question about when log-ins are blocked by apps Posted: 26 Jun 2021 08:13 AM PDT Using a reputable VPN, I am sometimes blocked trying to log in to some apps. One developer actually responded and said, "the problem logging in was the VPN, most likely you're getting caught in some kind of rate limit by the network." Can someone help me understand this better? I actually feel like the problem is with the app itself and they're passing the buck. I feel this way because I'm not actually blocked from using the app, only from the initial logging in which has to be done with VPN off. Once logged in, the app works fine, VPN or not.
