[Contest] April fools competition - cliche themes edition

    Posted:

Congratulations to u/GT-8000 for winning the January contest with their Sor Helgeland 2.0 setup. Your theme will be displayed in our banner throughout October, and will be added to our Hall of Fame.

By now it's a tradition that April's contests are dedicated to some form of shitposting, which I'm very happy about. Naturally this year will be no different. As the title suggests, for this contest we want to see cliche setups that are purposefully ruined in some way.

We're talking MNML PIXEL AMOLED NEUMORPHISM kinda vibe.

Stuff that's repetitive so much it hurts, with a clever addition of something being completely wrong. Make an iOS theme but with Samsung icons. Make a stock pixel launcher lookalike but with comic sans. Neumorphism but the shadows are way too overdone. Get creative, those are only suggestions. A setup that is ugly, but otherwise not fitting the cliche theme will be disqualified.

These rules apply specifically to this month's contest:

    1. Your theme must contain some cliche relevant to this subreddit
    2. Your theme must have something intentionally broken, not fitting, ugly
    3. Your theme can't just be made like something from deepfried memes, that's not gonna count. Be more creative than that.

    General contest rules:

    1. Your submission must be a separate post and tagged as [Contest].

    2. The theme must be your creation. No modifying/reusing existing theme files/presets.

    3. Your submission must be a newly made theme, you can't post something you've already shared someplace else.

    4. You must not collaborate or ask for feedback during the making of your setup. Your contest submission needs to be your own work only.

    5. You are allowed only one submission.

    6. You are expected to share all resources related to the submission except those that you've made yourself, those are optional.

The winner will be announced on May 1st, 2021. Winning submission will be displayed in the subreddit banner for the duration of the next contest. It will also be added to our Hall of Fame.
