| Posted: 09 Apr 2021 06:38 AM PDT I mistakenly clicked on of those spam SMS links (impersonating DHL/Amazon) and got redirected to some site but I didn't give out any information. I was told that it was one of those spam SMS's that then sends the same SMS to one's contacts. I promptly ran malware/virus scans and found nothing. Just to err on the safe side, I did not access any sensitive information like online banking and decided to factory reset my phone and format my SD card. Should it be relatively safe to use my phone for online banking and the such again? What is the risk of there still being some hidden malware? Edit: I had recently updated my software. | Changing the speed and pitch for audio Posted: 09 Apr 2021 11:40 AM PDT So earlier today I was about to play drums with my Bluetooth earbuds in playing music on spotify, but the audio was slowed down not just on one song but every other song aswell, same case when I tried on youtube, I fixed it by disabling Bluetooth and enabling it again, but I would like to know what could've happend and see if I could make the audio slower and/or change the pitch again [link] [comments] |

Posted: 09 Apr 2021 11:35 AM PDT So I fly a DJI Mavic Pro Drone, and the clamp on the controller actually obstruct some camera controls which would be mitigated if the app ran in a less wide aspect ratio. | Any guesses as to what this display issue may be? Posted: 09 Apr 2021 10:50 AM PDT I have an aftermarket Android tablet in my car. Last summer, it would flicker every once in a while. Then it got a little more frequent, as seen in this video (sorry about the dust). Then the flickering got really frequent, followed by periods of the screen going fully black; then it went mostly black with occasional glimpses of the display but it's been fully blacked out for several months now. I've kept it installed because the touch screen still works and I can use some of the basic functions if I remember where to tap; plus, it has bluetooth for phone calls which the stock unit lacked. So far I ordered and swapped a new display cable from the manufacturer but this didn't appear to do anything. Any suggestions of what this may be, so when I take it in to somebody (this is clearly above my expertise now) they might find the issue faster? [link] [comments] |
| How do I do back up & sync the right way? Posted: 09 Apr 2021 10:46 AM PDT I have to android devices, moto g and pixel 4, fue to camera issues on pixel y decided to go back to the moto, it has its own files and photos, I've spent whole night deleting pictures I don't want anymore on the pixel, my question is, if I turn on back up & sync on both devices which of the two is going to be the main device e other one get sync to, or does back up & sync make a mixture between the files on both devices creating a new gallery? | "invalid contact" error on google messages for Android Posted: 09 Apr 2021 10:28 AM PDT I using the current Messages app by Google on a S10+. When I type in any name, I get an "invalid contact" message. My contacts are synced and I can see them below (and even scroll through to find them alphabetically. But for some reason, the search bar up top does not see any of them, even if I type the whole name out exactly. Anyone know what is needed to fix this? [link] [comments] |
| Google play service for AR unsupported on Infinix Note 8i x683 Posted: 09 Apr 2021 09:27 AM PDT Hello I am using an Infinix note 8i android device, which is the upgraded version of Infinix note 7 and infinix note 6 which are both supported by ARCore, while my device which is newer and uses a better GPU and better CPU and has and overall better camera and has same accelerator and gyroscope sensors as the inifinx note 7 isn't supported. So is there any way to install it on my device? I tried downloading the APK and installing it but then whenever I try any AR app ot crashes. I need it as I am working on an AR project and need to test it on my device to see if the application works correctly. So is there any method to actually get the AR working? | How to pick a preferred network type? Posted: 09 Apr 2021 12:57 PM PDT I've had Resurrection Remix installed on my phone for about a month now, and so far I'm loving it! Except for one thing... making/receiving calls doesn't always work (doesn't even ring, and voicemail pops up later), and texts often take a while to send. I'm on a OnePlus 5 with T-Mobile, and the number of preferred network types is overwhelming: I tried looking for things like which of T-Mobile's bands my phone supports so maybe I could see what network types to choose, but I don't know how use it. I would like to know if its possible to put the sound output to the PS4 controller (built in audio jack) instead of the phone output once its connected to through Bluetooth. I was able to connected it the wireless controller to my android phone but I don't see an option to redirect the output sound of the phone to the Wireless controller. I appreciate all the help. Posted: 09 Apr 2021 11:35 AM PDT Smartphones now have crazy sizes of RAM and quite large batteries, but there is still no way to keep all of them open. (But there are thousands of power saving modes) This is wildly infuriating, because applications that do not work in the background do not deliver notifications and people can miss important information. | New number - old one stored in the sim? Posted: 09 Apr 2021 04:46 AM PDT I consider myself well versed in the android side of things, but for the life of me i cannot sort this issue out. Changed networks & new phone a while ago and wanted to keep my old number. My new network sent me a new sim to use with the new phone to use while the PUK went through. This all went well and everything changed over. However, the phone still thinks i have the new number and continues to try and autofill everthing with the new sims number. This is not an auto-fill issue with saved data.. More a sim issue. If i look in the about phone section it lists the number that came with the phone and not the transferd number which i assume is where this is coming from. Any ideas how to change this field? | No Connection Bug makes Samsung Health Meditation useless Posted: 09 Apr 2021 06:44 AM PDT This bug is getting absolutely ridiculous. Since the recent UI update, everything on my Note 10+ loses connection at random. This includes YouTube, Spotify, Chrome, etc. The worst offender may be when it loses connection on Samsung Health's Calm integration. For those who haven't used it, it is a section inside Samsung Health that offers meditation lessons and sleep help. It is a great program. However, it's rendered essentially useless due to the fact that 2-3 times within a 10 minute session it loses connection, pulling you out of the meditation. Is anyone else experiencing this? I have been attempting this by using the command: adb shell settings put global guest_user_enabled 0. However, when I type it in nothing happens.
