Posted: 30 Apr 2021 12:00 AM PDT I am in a journey to degoogle. between the various multi toggles and permissions, One thing is pretty clear : google wants my location info for every request or activity. If i do not give it , it is a endless prompts. till I cave in. Is there a way i can just feed google a random location or a default location. I'm not very familiar with Android so if someone could explain how to backup and then restore the OS, settings, installed apps, and app data that would be extremely helpful. Thanks! One thing that I miss a lot about my iOS and I still use my old iPhone mostly for this one app called Money monitor by maxwell software. You can take a look at it here Its a simple app but allows you to do a lot with it. I've downloaded many money monitor apps on android and they all just dont live up to what im looking for. Either you are forced to have an account with them... no thanks. You are forced to sync your bank accounts with them... no thanks. Its very difficult to navigate them. They don't allow much input in regard to date/time/category of expenses or deposits etc. I need something just like money manager. You open the app and it shows you a bunch of accounts that you've added, as well as their balances. You click an account and you can add a transaction to that account. You choose the category of transaction, the account its for, if you want that transaction to repeat and how often, the $ amount of transaction, a nice note section(which i often use) and the date and time the transaction occured. Its simple, easy to navigate, and does everything I needed it to do. If anyone can recommend something like this I would greatly appreciate it. I dont care about large graphs or figuring out my credit score, or it syncing to any of my financial accounts. I got mine 2-3 years ago, and it's been alright, but I think this phone would be an upgrade. Anyway, I found this website called Bludiode (linked here: https://bludiode.com/en/phones-and-smartphones/iqoo-7-12gb256gb-white-15307/?utm_source=google&utm_medium=pricewars2&utm_campaign=iqoo-7-12gb256gb-white&new_cure=1&RgExcludeLocationDetection) that sells one for 650$ and in the answered questions tab someone asked about if it would work with T-Mobile in the USA, to which someone responded that the phone was factory unlocked, which I searched that up and it means that it can be assigned to any network so long as the phone has a SIM card slot, which this one does. But I don't know how to set any of that up or if you guys think this would work with Verizon in Denver. And a few other questions. Is this a seller I should be buying from (like are they sketchy or not), and if i should know anything about buying a phone online as I have never done so before, and finally, will there be any additional expenses that come with the phone? | Keyboard constantly lags after an app updates? Posted: 30 Apr 2021 10:10 AM PDT It doesn't appear to be app specific, but my phone (Samsung Galaxy a20) lags like a mf after any app has an update, no matter how small. It lags when I'm going between apps, but it especially lags while I'm typing with the keyboard: it will freeze for about 5 seconds while I'm typing, then suddenly catch up. I notice it happening especially when it autocorrects something. It does this constantly, and I noticed my Instagram updated the other day, which lines up with when my phone started having its latest bout of lag problems. How can I fix this? [link] [comments] |

It was very hot and kept restarting til eventually it just stopped.(I had it outside under the shade while i skated and filmed, this was after a software update btw.) However, I don't know how I can back up it or receive the data such as WhatsApp chats and messages. I'm not an android user hence I have no clue and my father is not really tech knowledgable. Before the warning I tried to open the mail, I was confident because the address was official, yea it got breached, but apparently my phone couldnt open the file (I own an old huawei p8 lite), so I switched to PC but wasn't too sure to open it (because I was suspicious), so I didnt. | "unfortunately, system ui has stopped" need help Posted: 30 Apr 2021 03:31 AM PDT I need a way to fix this without factory resetting if possible. I have an LG G5 on sprint The popup wont go away no matter how many times i click it. I've tried wiping the cache in recovery mode. I've tried going in safe mode (it still pops up). No amount of resetting or letting the phone die will let me past it. I can feel my phone getting notifications, i just cant get the popup to go away. I've started to assume it's a system error at this point and the phone is bricked without factory resetting but im here as a last resort to try and get it fixed because i cant find anything else. EDIT: sorry i forgot to say that my phone had also been restarting itself for a week-ish beforehand, im a lil tired right now ;-; [link] [comments] |

I intentionally bought the sd to save different things, and to leave the phone space for those kind of things.... but it wants to take over my sd now u.u Any clue of how to stop this?? I got the phone and I was so happy and i check everything like screen/benchmark test ... and everything was perfect. I currently live in Korea, and i brought this phone with me since there was no defect at all. I open the my cellular with KT which uses 8(900mhz) and 3(1800mhz) lte bands and the main band is 3 The problem starts here, when i was in U.S, lte+ which is enhanced lte, was working perfect through at&t, but in Korea it wont show lte+ and i did a little research and found out that my Carrier aggregation- CA- is not open? working? whatever its not working. found some ways to use it which was installing a korean s21+ firmware but ofc its not gonna fix the problem cuz U.S is sd888 and Korea is exy2100. SO i found a another way that is using a *#27663368378# but enter that number it says "undefined additional service. Contact customer centre" damn please help me using LTE+. in living with a speed between 5~30mbps [link] [comments] |

To use the Google authenticator import feature & get the QR code i would have to Update the app. So my question is if i update the google authenticator app, is there any chance i will loose the existing data & the accounts added in it? | Can you help me find a camera focus issue? Posted: 29 Apr 2021 11:25 PM PDT Dear community, I have a Xiaomi A1 (~3 years old), my main back camera stopped focusing few weeks ago. When I try focusing by touching the screen, nothing moves, the focus is blocked. The other lenses (zoom camera and front camera) are working well. Here is what I already tried:
-So I tried to buy a camera spare part online and changed it myself. No luck, the focus is still blocked. The old camera was blocked on "macro" distance focus (like 20cm away) and the new camera is blocked on a 3m~10m distance focus. So I come here with some questions: what could be the cause? Is it planned obsolescence? Could it be like a "motherboard" issue? And more importantly, how can I find what the problem is? Do you know any app for debugging?
