- I've now seen evidence that corroborates Google's next Pixel phones will run on GS101. It'll have a 3 cluster setup with a TPU and something called "Dauntless" which seems related to integrated Citadel (Titan M security chip).

PSA: Gmail notifications missing might not be your phone's fault Posted: 02 Apr 2021 10:50 AM PDT There is a thread at the top right now complaining about Gmail notifications being Oneplus's software fault, it might not be true because I've had this issue on my LG V30 and LG's software is not aggressive with killing apps, Gmail was the only app with issues. Well turns out my frustration for over a year missing emails was because Google thinks my emails are not important because of a feature I know many of you love: Automatic sorting. Once I disabled this feature I INSTANTLY received hundreds of email notifications that never had one, some notifications were from 6 months ago, that's how stupid the whole thing is. To disable automatic sorting you go to Settings -> Click on your email -> Scroll down a bit and uncheck "Smart functions and personalization" (translated) This will put all your emails in 1 inbox like it used to be and will send notifications for every email. Now you should get every email notification in under 10 minutes. I don't even disable battery optimizations and it just works now. Will it work for everyone? I'm not a Wizard to guess, so you tell me. TL;DR Gmail's automatic sorting thinks it knows what emails deserve notifications, disabling it should solve all your notifications problems. Are carriers blocking OEMs from releasing Dual-SIM phones in the US Posted: 02 Apr 2021 03:52 AM PDT Clearly, this is an in-demand feature: https://www.statista.com/statistics/186122/number-of-mobile-cellular-subscriptions-in-the-united-states-since-2000/ -- Compare this to the population of the US. Are the rumors true?: They're saying that carriers are blocking dual-SIM in high-specs Android phones (OnePlus 9 Pro, S21U) because they want us to not have a split-choice for data and phone. They want to force us to buy more phones through them. They want to make it so you only see 1 carrier as your option and not 2. Is any of this true? EDIT: I meant to place a question-mark at the end of my post's title. Sorry. [link] [comments]

Gboard, copy & paste and multiple device users Posted: 02 Apr 2021 12:49 AM PDT Just thought multiple device users with gboard installed would like to know that if you copy something to your clipboard on one device you can instantly paste using another device (Obviously both devices need internet connection to the Google mothership while using) Try it now! My fix for a common snapchat issue on Samsung and Google phones lately. Posted: 02 Apr 2021 12:25 PM PDT So there's an issue thats been somewhat reoccurring for 5 years where the on screen buttons in the Android versions of the app do not allow for snaps to be sent. Some say they had a success with opening and closing chats to fix the glitch. My best solution ive found is to exit to your home screen/view your running apps, then re enter snapchat. This seems to make your image send. I hope this helps at least one person here [link] [comments]
