| Can you still change the playback speed of YouTube videos using Smart YouTube TV? Posted: 01 Mar 2021 05:14 AM PST Hey guys, I'd love to be able to adjust youtube playback speed on my smart TV. I found a thread from 7mths ago that suggested sideloading the Smart Youtube TV app: https://smartyoutubetv.github.io/ I installed it today - and while it appears to be successfully blocking ads which is nice - I don't see the ability to change speed. Does anyone else use this and can confirm if they can change speed still with this app? [link] [comments] |

| Using Flirc to Control Chromecast with Google TV Posted: 28 Feb 2021 02:39 PM PST One of things holding me back from using the Chromecast with Google TV as my daily streamer was being unable to control it with my existing remote. I have a traditional surround sound system with a slew of devices plugged into an AV Receiver and no matter how hard I try... CEC just never cut it. I'm a huge fan of the Harmony 665 and have used Flircs to flush out the control required for devices like my Sheild TV and HTPC. I was hoping I could rig up something similar to the Chromecast with Google TV. Today I combined this little guy from Amazon with a USB extension cable I had lying around. Plugged in the Flirc and everything worked perfectly. Just letting everyone know that the option is available. [link] [comments] |
| MI box 4k-Changing resolution of prime video Posted: 28 Feb 2021 10:32 PM PST Hi,I recently bought a mi box.Main purpose was to watch amazone prime videos and also to watch movies from usb.The problem I am facing is Amazon prime is streaming videos in full hd which is eating up my entire days internet plan in an hour or so.And unlike in mobile or web version,there seems to be no way to reduce the resolution..Is anyone here aware of any way I can reduce the streaming resolution?Is it possible to sideload apk for mobile version of primevideo and use it in mi box? | Help! Anybody here use TuneIn Radio? How do I find radio stations? Posted: 28 Feb 2021 11:20 AM PST I have been using the TuneIn Radio mobile app for over a decade. I love that I can listen to all my favourite radio stations from around the world, all for free. I was ecstatic to find out that TuneIn Radio also has an Android TV app. However, I get the impression that it doesn't let users login to their account and play their favorite radio stations, as I am unable to do it. Am I the only one experiencing this? Or is this how they set up the Android TV App, by removing all the features the mobile app has. If I can use it on my phone, tablet, and computer, why can't I use it on my TV? When I open the app all I can see is local radio stations from my town, which frankly I don't care for. When I go to the search button to look for stations, it won't open the keyboard to let me type. Please help! I have a 2019 NVIDIA Shield TV Pro. Worst case scenario, I am open to using another similar app to play radio stations from around the world, but I'd really rather use TuneIn Radio, as I already have an account with all my preferences set. | Sideloaded app gets misformed in half of the screen. Posted: 28 Feb 2021 09:12 AM PST So I tried to install the F1tv app on my Sony X92. I first installed Aptoide and from there I installed F1tv. But then the whole image of the app gets on half of the screen and the other half falls off the screen, and the image looks a bit stretched out. The Sony menu is also like this! So it's almost impossible to change anything in settings. Another app also had this issue and then I noticed, both of them are portrait apps. Is there anyone who knows what's causing this and if it can be helped? Or is this something with my Sony firmware, and it's this working just fine in a random Android tv box? Thanks!
