| Posted: 29 Mar 2021 09:24 AM PDT I'm not really sure what's causing this but I noticed this first happened when Google Translate's speech recognition failed to recognize my mic (it just closed itself). Then I start having issues with recording audio, recording video, even making a call with WhatsApp. It will just hang up. Usually I have to restart the phone. In the first few minutes it will work fine. But after an hour so, the issue will come back. I have no issue with making calls with normal calls though. Is there a way to detect what exactly is causing this issue? [link] [comments] |

I don't think that's an unreasonable request, but no matter how I tweak settings or turn off notification categories it keeps showing up, making me think there's something I need to check on. It's 2020 Xiaomi redmi note 9 and compared to iPhone 6s from 2015, which I used before I bought this, is way faster than this sh$t. | Phone can't make calls or texts since update to Android 11 Posted: 29 Mar 2021 11:23 AM PDT I have a Samsung A50 and for whatever reason I haven't been able to make or recieve a call or text since I installed the latest update. The issue doesn't seem to be signal related since I can still access the internet just fine. When I text I just get "currently unable to send message. It will be sent when service becomes available." I've tried everything I can think of and nothing helps. I've tried restarting (several times) Tried resetting my network settings Deleting the cache for both messaging and phone apps Tried different SMS apps Popping out the sim card Frankly I'm baffled. Since this past week my phone has been switching off suddenly due to low battery. At first I thought I forgot to charge but today I went to battery settings and that graph showed that phone went from 60% to 0 in an instant. Twice today. One time was when I tried sending a superchat to a streamer and it said "Can't connect to the internet" so I couldn't pay, and now I can't sign into my Google Account due to the same issue either. | Google Play Services Battery Drain Posted: 29 Mar 2021 09:47 AM PDT Hello, my phone is suffering from pretty bad battery drain from Google Play Services. I googled it and found this article. It suggests a few things, one of which is clearing all play services data, is this necessary or any risk involved or is simply deleting cache sufficient? The other is clearing cache partition. I keep getting a prompt that android can't sync date and time with the server, and tells me to update it manually. I'll press that, and then I can turn auto date/time back on and everything works again. It does this probably 3-4 times a day. What could be causing this? | Galaxy S10+ - Several apps stop working until either restart phone or reinstall app Posted: 29 Mar 2021 07:52 AM PDT Since now a couple of days (can't say exactly when) it happens that some apps stop refreshing their feed. But so far it didn't affect all of the apps at the same time. Apps for which I have observed this behavior:
Clearing cache or data for the affected app doesn't help. I have to reinstall the app or restart the phone. After that it's only a matter of time until it happens again.

This Recipient's Phone Number Can't Be Confirmed (Error Code 0)" Posted: 29 Mar 2021 07:22 AM PDT Sent a message to a friend I text with all the time and for some reason it kept telling me that the message was not sent. After a few tries of resending it now I'm getting the message "Can't Send. This Recipient's Phone Number Can't Be Confirmed (Error Code 0)" Weirdly I've been able to send messages to others today so its just him. Anyone know how to solve this? There doesn't seem to be a lot with this specific message when I searched for it. I'm on a Pixel 3, android 11. He's on an iPhone. We've both had our phones for a while so I don't think it's an Android/iOS issue. I texted my wife and another friend (both iOS) and they worked just fine. | Issue with spotify share to instagram stories Posted: 29 Mar 2021 05:53 AM PDT Hi, I am trying to share a playlist/song from Spotify app to Instagram. When I click on Share, the options come up, then I choose Instagram. This pulls up the Instagram app and the Story share page but the actual song isn't there. Instagram comes up with my camera opened and not the Song link. I am on Redmi Note 7 and both the apps are updated to their latest version. I have re-installed Instagram , cleared the cache for both the app. This does not solve and I really do not want to reinstall Spotify as I have more than 15GB of downloaded songs. Examples: 1) Duolingo, I need to hear the app sounds, that are usually low, and when an add comes up it's an ear rape. 2) sometimes I'm listening to podcast/music while playing some game, when the add comes up, it pauses what I'm listening to ear rape me and what's worse, what I was listening to does not resume automatically. I still get easy 2 days use with about 6hrs SOT. Is this battery condition norm or exception in phones that have been used for so much? I don't think my idea is such unique that it doesn't exist yet, but I can't find it. Does anyone have some tips where to get such software? Why would I like this? Because there are a lot of apps that don't support Android Auto. Streaming the screen to the car would solve this issue without relying on developers updating their apps. For a month or two now, whenever I set my phone Notification volume to vibrate using either the volume keys or the drop down menu, all apps like Messaging and GroupMe will still ring out audibly when there's a new message. But if I mute Media, they go silent and vibrate only. Problem is, I'm often listening to music or videos through my phone's speakers, so it's like they're falling on top of each other. I just want to make sure message alerts are categorized as notifications so I can listen to my media without interruption. Any idea what might be happening? [link] [comments] |
