    IM HUNGRY OF STORIES!

    Posted: 09 Mar 2021 02:19 AM PST

Can anyone provide me a deep, deep deeeeeeeep complexity of a game especially with stories, events, plots whatever you called. For instance, 'king of dragon pass' , 'tales of illyria', 'silmaris'.

I don't mind about graphics, as long as the stories could mesmerizing me for countless hours. I'll appreciate for recommending me choices of games and hosted game's games, but no. Trust me, i already emptied my wallets for them.

So yeah, as long as they have deep management and not a monoton mechanism, like 'tales of illyria' which has many random events. Thank you, you would help this old man to pass away easily, i mean.. Time

    Tycoon games recommendations?

    Posted: 09 Mar 2021 07:29 AM PST

Do you have any favorite simulation-tycoon games like game dev story/tycoon? Not necessarily about game companies but I really enjoyed these two; and preferably not idle or click games

Which of these ways is best used to access the meaning of guessed words?( a word finder with given letters game)

    Posted: 09 Mar 2021 10:47 AM PST

    A) A button on the end page of the game that by clicking on it, we will have access to a list of all guessed words and the main word

    B) A button is placed next to each word that is in the list of guessed words during the game.

    C) A button on the game screen that shows only the meaning of the last guessed word.

    Looking for a new game

    Posted: 09 Mar 2021 12:36 PM PST

Hello all, I'm new to this subreddit, I found it while looking for a new game for my phone. Last year's I've been playing games that are heavily pay to win. And I'm kinda sick of it, it costs to much money and too much time. I am willing to pay for good games but it would be a waste to pay for games that suck. I really like tower defense games and RPG's with decent graphics. Does anyone have some recommendations from personal experience?

It would be helpful to not have to open the app and check constantly. Thanks!

    Single-player Video Game Experience Survey

    Posted: 09 Mar 2021 07:01 AM PST

    Hi r/AndroidGaming,

My name is Thor Janson, and I'm a Cognition and Communication Master's student at the University of Copenhagen. I am currently working on a research project as part of my Master's thesis, and this involves conducting a survey that aims to investigate players' single-player video game experience. The moderators of this subreddit have kindly allowed me to post my questionnaire here, and I am very thankful for this. I would likewise be extremely thankful if you could take the time to fill out the questionnaire! It takes roughly 10 minutes to complete.

I hope that as many of you as possible take part in this research, as I would like these results to be as meaningful and applicable as possible. This project is the culmination of my academic career, and I very much look forward to seeing your responses.

Once the survey is closed and the data have been analyzed, I may post the results here if participants indicate that they are interested. I am also available to answer any questions or considerations you might have, so feel free to leave a comment, send me a message, or email me at mwk684@alumni.ku.dk. You are also welcome to recommend this survey to friends or share the link via social media.

You can find the questionnaire here:

    https://www.survey-xact.dk/LinkCollector?key=R1JKQV6PSN91

    Kind regards,

    Thor Janson, University of Copenhagen

    FAQs:

What are the requirements for participating in this research?

Anybody who plays single-player video games is encouraged to participate!

Is the questionnaire focused on a specific single-player game?

No. The questionnaire will ask you to respond to a series of statements based on your experiences playing your favorite single-player game, which you will be asked to supply beforehand. As long as you play single-player video games, you are welcome to participate!

Does the questionnaire require divulging any sensitive personal information?

Apart from gender, ethnic background, and country of residence, the questionnaire does not ask participants to divulge any sensitive information. For the mentioned items, participants may decline to answer. The questionnaire does not ask participants to divulge any other personally identifying information.

What type of questions are on the questionnaire?

Apart from demographic questions, the questionnaire will ask you to respond to a series of statements based on your experience playing your favorite/preferred single-player video game.

Will I get to see the results?

Yes, once data analysis is complete, I may post the results back to this subreddit. If you are interested in seeing the results, please let me know via comment, private message, or email.

I used to love playing this game. But currently I have no time to play on pc. I'm looking for a turn base tactic game. Doesn't need to be so much of a rol game but I do like that aspect.

    New Doom 3 Diii4a Version

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 01:58 PM PST

So, i had an argument with some users here about the (not so great) delte touch doom 3 version. Not saying delta touch isn't great, it is for doom 1+2 and stuff. But it has graphical glitches and sound issues. Apparently not on every phone, bur anyways...

Someone developed a new diii4a Version and i wanted to share it with you, in case you search for a flawless way to play this game. it got released only like 6 months ago. It's pretty new, considering how old the original version is.

    https://github.com/glKarin/com.n0n3m4.diii4a

i can't give any credits, cause i don't even know who made this. i found it on google by myself.

So, you can check the github out if you want more about this dev.

It's called diii4a++ and it basically fixed a lot of issues, including the sound bugs that were very present before (strange audio doubling).

it also includes doom 3 add ons and other stuff. dunno, i personally just want to play the main game. but it may be interesting for someone else.

Sorry if it got postet here already, i thought i share it because people were so exited about Delta, but theres a better way to play it.

To install doom 3, just copy "base" to the dii4a main folder.

    [REQUEST] Might and Magic VI

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 01:14 PM PST

Well, a way to play M&M6 would be the best option, but I am looking for that type of RPG. I played all the Might and Magic games growing up, 6 being my favorite. Can anyone help me find a game that has those types of mechanics? Leveling up characters, multiple characters, skill trees if possible, and a long engaging story with open world. I dont care on a price if it's an awesome game. Thanks!

[REQUEST] Help finding an old gem

    Posted: 09 Mar 2021 04:07 AM PST

I don't remember much about the game but I do remember that you're playing as a plant, a chosen plant that's supposed to defend the forest from animals.

I don't how to describe the game's genre but its like a single player moba where you can contorl your hero and summon vegetable (and fruit i think) plant as your troops. The enemy also has a hero. The game is top down (i think) 3d game.

If i remember correctly your hero's name is leafy and your hero looks like peashooter with body and leg. One of your very first troops are onions I think and your very first enemies are boars.

I'm sorry if the way I describe the game is very lacking in detail but I played it a very long time ago :/

Otherwise, anyone know where to search for old games? Like a store or something where you can specify date when searching. I might be able to find the game there

Android controller options that meet these needs?

    Posted: 08 Mar 2021 06:09 PM PST

    Hi all,

Not to beat a dead horse as I've seen the other posts, but I have some specifics as to what I'm looking for and am curious if such a unicorn controller exists which I haven't seen recommended before. I'm looking for a controller that:

    1) can be used with phone in a case 2) can be used with CoD Mobile without tricks 3) can be used with major cloud or streaming gaming services (xbox game pass, AMD link) 4) is switch style (ie not phone hanging out above the controller)

I can find many options that meet 3 of these requirements but none I'm sure meet all four. Thanks!
