    Hello, I have Nvidia Shield TV Pro 2019 and I really like it but there's a problem.

    The color of the Nvidia looks washed out / dull compared to my Samsung Q8fn TV and yes I have enabled Match content color space.

    I want to switch from Nvidia to Chromecast with Google TV can anyone who has it tell me if the colors looks better on Chromecast or it's the same?

    Help Me Think Outside the [Cable] Box

    We just got an Android TV box (and air mouse), and I absolutely LOVE how many streaming options it has opened up. What other non-intuitive apps are a great fit for this kind of set-up?

    We've got the streaming content covered, so I'm looking for non-video related ideas. For example, I've linked up my Google Photos so that we can scroll through pictures & everyone can see. I installed VRBO so that everyone can take a look at houses for an upcoming vacation. I'm sure there's a LOT more this set-up would lend itself to, but I'm drawing a blank. Any suggestions?

    Nvidia Shield Pro Streaming Live through Akamai Player

    Hey guys, as the title implies, I'm trying to watch a livestream from the senate.gov website, but it doesn't want to even load the stream. is there any way I can get this stream to load?

    I'm trying to watch through the ARM-supported (Shield Pro runs on a Tegra X-1, the same chip the Nintendo Switch runs on, which is a quadcore ARM A57 chip, so I can't use an x86 architecture chrome distrubution) chrome app on an nVidia Shield Pro using https://www.banking.senate.gov/hearings/watch?hearingid=97B0536D-5056-A066-605A-BFC39726EF93. They are streaming their content through a player called Akamai Adaptive Media.

    Amazon Prime (Android TV) without Widevine Level 1 DRM Protection

    Hi,

    I cant use "Amazon Prime" (Android TV version) on my android tv (custom ROM) because its not supported due the "Widevine Level 1 DRM Protection".

    Im able to launch the app and watch trailer but when I try to start a movie it ends in an error.

    Does anyone know when that protection got implemented into the amazon prime app?

    Workaround:

    Installing the mobile version of amazon prime (Android Tablet/Smartphone version) ... but the navigation via remote controller is kinda weird.

    Testing audio delay after the new system update on the MI TV Stick

    I was very unsatisfied with the MI TV Stick's audio delay (I made a post about it a couple of months ago). I had high hopes that a system update will fix it. After checking out the new update I was immediately let down. I even recorded a video about the delay that I only have with the Mi TV Stick (and no other devices).

    I recorded and slowed down a test video played with the Youtube app. It seems that there is a 200-250ms audio delay which is unacceptable. Can others verify this, too, and maybe let the developers know about it?

    I need to hard factory reset my tv

    I have never updated my tv, this is exactly why lol. I updated my tv and now my tv isn't playing to my Bluetooth speaker, it's connected completely. It will cut in and out of the audio from the Bluetooth and play on the tv speakers but play nothing at all on the speaker ,the input goes in and out for my TV when I'm on my PlayStation. It's slower even now, I have a Philips 55PFL5604/F7 SN: 1A1920149734 and no, the regular reset did not work. I want the update taken off, Philips basically told me I'm screwed and google did too. Plz help reddit

    Android TV for offline use

    Hey all,

    I'm looking for an Android solution that I can use in my car for offline netflix, D+ and prime playback. I bought I cheap tv box off Amazon but that was garbage.

    I can't seem to find a decent Android TV box with a hard drive that will allow me to download content from the streaming services. My most recent idea is to get a tablet or phone that will be easily "docked".

    For context this is so my kids can watch Netflix on our cars backseat screen.

    Anyone know if a good solution?

    I posted this earlier but asking bout Smart YouTube TV and was told to try SmartYoutube Next. Did that, I still can't use Smart Youtube TV or Next without signing in.

    I can use Youtube on my other devices (and vanced as well) without issues. Just not SmartYoutube TV / NEXT on my android TV or Firestick. Any ideas?

    Missing Date on Photos

    Has anyone else noticed that the photo's date is no longer displayed when a personal photo album is chosen? I have the photo information turned on and can see the album name and the photographer's name, but the date the photo was taken is no longer available.

    I know it was still being displayed this past weekend.

    I'm running the APK of the Google TV Launcher from October on my Nvidia shield, I've noticed theres been many updates since, and I've tried most of the latest ones and they don't work, it just hangs on the home screen, as if its loading content, but never does.

    Has anyone got any of the newer versions working?

    I like Firefox, that works well but unable to get bookmarks in it, or share from my iPhone.

    I tried Puffin Browser, but some kind of unstable.
