[DEV] My sci-fi city builder The Final Earth 2 is now on Android! (not an idle game)

    Posted: 21 Mar 2021 05:10 AM PDT

Hey, I've recently released my sci-fi city builder for Android, The Final Earth 2!

In the game, the Earth is uninhabitable. Fortunately, you find a small world and you build a vertical (skyscraper-style) city on it to save humanity. You start with a tiny city and few resources, but with research you can eventually build a huge city with thousands of inhabitants and many advanced buildings. In later scenarios, your city can even be spread out over multiple worlds.

As opposed to many other "city builders" on Android, this is not an idle game (I have nothing against games like that, but there are already a lot of them on Android). There are many things to consider while building your city, such as travel time, citizen happiness and adjency bonuses for buildings. It is a rather relaxed game though, as you can't lose. You can choose to play a story mission or in free play.

It's a free game. You can get a premium version with some extra features for a small one-time fee (and, if you enjoy the game, I appreciate if you do, of course :P). If you don't, there are a few ads, but really nothing intrusive or interrupting gameplay. You can also remove ads for a lower price.

You can get the game on Google Play here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.FlorianVanStrien.TheFinalEarth2

I'm happy to answer any questions and your feedback is very welcome as well!

What is up with mobile games and tutorials?

Is there any way to reset or refresh Google play?

    Posted: 21 Mar 2021 10:30 AM PDT

Hey my dudes, every week or so I have a quick scroll through the Play store to see if anything piques my interest. I feel that the Play store very rarely gets updated with new content. The main lage is populated with games that I've seen ads for, every week, for months now. I'm getting shown the same things over and over. 99% of what's on the main page is either not my genre, has bad reviews, looks garbage, or I try it and it doesn't hold my interest for long.

Is there any way to stop google from repeatedly showing me ads for things I've already seen and rejected? Or a way to refresh or reset the play store? I want to explore new content.

    [REQUEST] Games similar to Commandos

    Posted: 21 Mar 2021 05:45 AM PDT

Is there anything like this for Android? Other similar games are Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, and Desperados (although never played this). I remember there being one similar game that I played about 5 years ago, but I forgot the name of it.

    [REQUEST] RPG OR MMORPG

    Posted: 21 Mar 2021 05:28 AM PDT

Hi, so I'm looking for a single player rpg or a mmorpg. Here are my preferences in order of importance. Highest = Most Important

    • Very well optimised for mobile (UI, Performance etc)
    • Fairly well known (Easy to find guides)
    • Conducive for roleplaying
    • Good story and Immersion
    • Low to Mid end specs sufficient (Not Genshin tier)
    • No gacha or p2w stuff! (Gacha cosmetics are fine)
    • Graphics must not be too bad (Toram tier is fine)

I've played Genshin, like the story and content but hated the gacha

Vertican Online RPG Similar to Dragalia Lost?

    Posted: 20 Mar 2021 10:45 PM PDT

I'm looking for a game that's similar to dragalia lost but maybe without it being auto? I know I can play dragalia without auto, but it's not an enjoyable experience and the online is not really interactive. I don't want any idle games or anything like that, I just want an RPG that I can play online and is vertical, it doesn't matter if it's tab target, action, turn based, etc. Anyone have any recommendations?

    Kingdom Rush: frontiers too hard?

    Posted: 21 Mar 2021 12:08 PM PDT

The first one was beatable without too many issues, had to use gems in some of the final levels. but even on CASUAL in frontiers I need to use gem items at level 5! like, wtf??
I played Empire Warriors: TD and while its a kingdom rush ripoff and meant to be a pay2win title by making late levels incredibly difficult, I could manage it on highest difficulty better than frontiers on lowest... Hero micro and prioritizing different towers actually meant something there...

So why the hell is frontiers so hard that it seems unbeatable... goddamn mindustry is easier, and that game is complex as fuck.

Can't remember the name, but it's very similar to rune factory and harvest moon?

    Posted: 21 Mar 2021 08:21 AM PDT

I played this game like a good 4 year years ago on android and it had similar graphics to Stardew Valley, Symphony of Origin, anime style, pixelated etc. I think the plot was trying to find restore or save a cafe or restaurant which might have been owned by a relative? And you had to go in 'dungeons' to find ingredients in order to make the recipes. From what I remember the protagonist could have been a girl with short brown hair?

edit: nvm found it, its called Adventure bar story

    Looking for a game that isn't P2W/Gacha/CCG/Idle/Clash-Clone

    Posted: 21 Mar 2021 04:11 AM PDT

I know, I basically excluded 90% of the games in the title. To make it even more difficult: I prefer it to be F2P.

    Games I already have tried/played:

    • Plague Inc
    • Muse Dash
    • Fallout Shelter
    • Pokemon Cafe
    • OSRS
    • Pubg Mobile
    • BrawlStars

Can you help me find the name of a game ...

    Posted: 20 Mar 2021 04:17 PM PDT

Main Idea of the game: The game is mainly about ants; you have your fortress (some tree?) and your opponent too (cpu). When playing, you collect falling tree leaves in order to build ants which have various lengths and when it's ready you realease it and it heads towards your opponent fortress. It's most likely 2D but the graphisms are pretty good. [Edit]: each some levels there is a big warm boss

When I last played it: 2012 (not very sure)

Game icon: I think it's a green ant wearing a military hat

Note: (Most likely) the game name consists of one word

So please guys can you help me find its name (it was on play store)

[Edit] : it's concept (how you and your opponent are positioned and how you should reach its fortress...) is similar to Dino Bash

[REQUEST] What cool games can you recommend me?

    Posted: 21 Mar 2021 02:00 AM PDT

I got covid so I have to stay put for 2 weeks and I'm already really bored. So I've figured I might start playing a/some cool game(s).

So far I play CoD Mobile regularly and I installed Soul Knight 2 days ago, which I find pretty nice, but not exactly my cup of tea. I like the bullet hell gameplay a lot, but find some boss fights stupidly hard, not even challenging-hard, just plain stupid, so I was not able to finish a complete 3 levels at all, even with a fully upgraded knight. Also I dont understand most of the features and mechanics in the lobby area and I'm not so eager to learn them.

I'd love to play something not insanely complex, but which has some complexity to a degree (good progression system, smooth combat if it's an action game). I love primarily ARPGs, bullet hells (rougelike or not), action and racing games in general. I like some platformers (loved Shank and Cuphead on PC). I also dont mind a card game, but I dont really like strategy and especially turn based games.

And I really hate anything p2w and games with energy-systems, that are basically "pay to play more than 20 minutes a day". I dont mind grinding at all, so if I can obtain anything just by playing, I am happy.

I've enjoyed Dungeon Hunter 4 in the past a lot, but cant remember if it was p2w. I think not, because I got pretty far without spending a dollar.

    Thank you!

Request: Game With Solo Content and "Guild" Battles Where You Can Contribute to Team Goals

    Posted: 20 Mar 2021 07:08 PM PDT

So.. what I am looking for is a game that you can play solo but also join a guild or clan and work with towards towards winning battles against other guild or clans.

I prefer games with tactical combat but also anything with roleplaying elements would also be ok. I've already played Clash of Clans and Clash Royal.

I recall a game I used to play where there were "wars" weekly.. I think.. between clans. There would be a map of nodes of various sizes, I believe they were represented by spheres. Player would try to capture and hold these nodes and at the end a score was tallied for each clan from the nodes with the larger ones being worth more.. I don't remember what it was called but something like that would be awesome.. Does anyone have any recommendations fitting the (admittedly badly defined) criteria above? Thanks much!

    [REQUEST] Looking for Roguelike's

    Posted: 20 Mar 2021 08:06 PM PDT

Hi, I'm looking for some new rougelike games to play. Alot of the rougelikes on the app store doesn't really interest me. The rougelike's I currently play are: Soul Knight, Shattered Pixel Dungeon, Otherworld Legends, and Death Road to Canada(but I play it on console instead of mobile). I'm not into card or text-based rougelike's. If you know of any good rougelike's, I would appreciate if you comment and let me know about them. Thanks!
