Can't get rid of FRP even after using Odin to flash it. Posted: 24 Feb 2021 08:09 AM PST A relative of my mine gave me a Galaxy Tab E tablet, model number SM-T377A, that someone bought off of someone else. The only problem is the previous owner didn't remove their Google account, and now it's locked up. I've done a lot of research, but it seems that there really isn't anything I can do about it. Most of the usual tricks have been patched out, and while I can get 7.1 to install, I can not however get 6.0 to install even when using an older version of Odin. I do got the .pit file on hand, and tried to erase the nand, but that didn't do any good either. Did try this post as well, but that didn't do anything either. Tried to use Frija, but since it doesn't do ATT, there isn't anything to be done about that as acquiring the firmware goes. FRP Hijacker didn't do anything for me, and neither did SamsungFrp2020. I'm running out of ideas of stuff to try, so if any help is available, please let me know. [link] [comments] |

Losing connection to cellular network [S8] Posted: 24 Feb 2021 07:30 AM PST Specs: Samsung Galaxy S8 Android Version: 9 Network Mode: LTE/GSM/UMTS Network Operator: Verizon I have WIFI, and call over WIFI is enabled. I recently moved into a new apartment that has zero service in the hallways, bedroom, and bathroom. I am able to get service by my window and living room. My issue is that whenever I take my phone to the bathroom or walk through the hallways my phone will show that it is no longer connected to the wireless network even when I get to a location that I know has cell service. My workaround is toggling airplane mode and that usually fixes the issue. Any thoughts on how to fix this outside of getting a signal booster? [link] [comments] |
Does Tripping Knox break fingerprint sensors? Posted: 24 Feb 2021 09:57 AM PST I've just rooted my new S21, and whilst I can unlock my phone using fingerprints, other apps seem to throw errors, and don't unlock. Is this due to knox being tripped, or is something else at play? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Feb 2021 09:52 PM PST So randomly my new phone SD card disconnects. Taking it out and such doesn't seem to do much. Today however, the problem did not go away on it's own. After taking a large 18 minute video, it disconnected when I stopped recording the video. Now my SD card: Says it's corrupted Even on my computer it says it is corrupted and wants to format it Google photos still lets me view the photos on my phone but won't upload, it keeps trying and failing. Same with saving to Drive. My phone keeps throwing out of disk space errors despite being only 50% full even without the SD card. I can't delete the large video of 18 minutes because when I try to it says it can't access my SD card. The photos are clearly somehow still on my SD card. I can't upload them to the cloud for some reason. Cleaning the SD card has done no good. How can I put it in and configure for phone without formatting? There are two options presented in the menu when I go to merge it with my phone.... 1) Portable storage, as in, use for files separate from phone 2) As part of phone storage, as in make it part of the internal storage. Do both of these options format the card? Which one does not? I'm at the point I want to go to a shop to see if someone can fix this as our Christmas photos are on there.. I downloaded easeus software trial to try to fix it but figured I'd post here in the meantime for ideas. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 24 Feb 2021 11:16 AM PST Hey! So I got a new phone from work and It comes pre installed with some admin rights that limits my use of the phone. ( Knox enrollment service and Hub) I wanna know, is there some way I can remove there admin rights? I tried to factory reset in the settings menu and also by pressing volume up and the power button at the same time when the phone is off and it still boots up with my company settings. I also tried to disable Knox in the settings menu but it won't let me. My quest is to make the phone like it would be if I bought it from the store my self. U are my last hope Reddit, please help me to get admin rights on my new spaceship! [link] [comments] |

how to configure a recent Android image with Mesa DRM / KMS support and virtio-gpu modules... Posted: 24 Feb 2021 10:33 AM PST Hello to everyone. the time to learn new exciting things is came. I would like to understand how to emulate a recent version of Android on my jetson nano with qemu / kvm. I already have some experience with linux, with the jetson nano and with the arm64 platform, but a very little one with Android. But I have already asked some crucial informations about the most important requisites that Android should have to run with qemu-kvm. Basically these :
I have already configured point 3 and 4. Point 1 and 2 are missing 'cause I have a little Android knowledge. Someone said to me "It needs to be one targeted for Qemu with virtio-gpu support enabled. There are images around with it configured but don't have ones that I can share". Ok. for me its better to understand how to configure Android from the beginning like it should be,but I'm pragmatic,so I don't say no if someone wants to give me a recent Android image already configured :). In any case, since I don't know where to start,I would like to get some detailed documentation from you, because I want to learn the workflow. Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |

How to change SD card for extension of internal storage to a bigger one without losing data? Posted: 24 Feb 2021 09:00 AM PST I´m upgrading my storage a bit, and have looked for guides but all I find is some dodgy websites recommending me to use the tool they have developed. What I´ve done so far is backing up all the data that was shown to me when connecting my phone to the PC, removing the old card, inserting the new, formatting it as internal storage, and then trying to restore the backed up files. My problem now is that somehow on my pc the new card is not shown as part of the internal storage, so copying stops when 16GB is reached. Any ideas on how to fix this, or any guides would be awesome. The phone is a Moto G5 running Android 8.1 [link] [comments] |
Bluetooth launches random audio app. Not the app I was currently using. Posted: 24 Feb 2021 08:31 AM PST TL/DR: when connecting to Bluetooth to listen to audio, sometimes my phone (s21u) will launch a random music app instead of the most recent audio app used. Hey all, I tried searching the web for this and the only thing I was able to find was from 2014 and no longer accurate. Idk if I am wording this properly but I will do my best to keep it simple. I have a few different audio apps that I use regularly with Bluetooth headphones. (YT music, smart audio books, Google podcasts, Spotify) When I want to start listening, I'll connect my headphones and select what I want to hear. In this case let's assume I'm listening to a podcast.Once I pause the audio (by tapping my ear bud) the audio will stop. Perfect. Just as designed. The problem comes up when I go to resume listening. I'll tap "play" on the headphones and sometimes it will start another app and begin playing that audio. This doesn't happen all the time but at least a few times a day. Seems to randomly choose the app. In short, I'm jamming to some classic 1920's tunes, pause/disconnect my headphones, resume listening but instead of 20's jams I get an audio book about ww2 or some podcast. It's very random. Any ideas on what plagues me and I assume others? Thank you in advance! [link] [comments] |

Posted: 24 Feb 2021 08:15 AM PST Card was originally in my phone as internal storage (bad idea apparently). It sometimes stopped working but would come back eventually. Now it is not. Google Photos app on my phone shows the photos are still on there, but I can't upload them since it is not connected. I don't know how it can see them without being connected, but I know it shows all pics and screenshots, but trying to upload them says I need to change my settings to connect my sd card. Chkdsk and all that has not worked. Card is in RAW format. Good news is I did not click "forget this card" which would delete the decryption key. But here's the thing, if I put it back in and select setup as internal storage again, will it format the card? As long as it doesn't I should be in business. [link] [comments] |
Lenova tablet just shows the Linux penguin icon on boot. Please help. Posted: 24 Feb 2021 07:46 AM PST Strange issue here, but I have a Lenovo Yoga tab 3 that wouldn't boot past the Lenovo logo. I tried looking in the android recovery menu but wasn't sure what option to choose so I just selected Reboot System Now at the top. Following that it just seems to boot and show the linux penguin icon though. Any ideas what could be causing this and how to fix and get it to boot normally again? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Feb 2021 07:30 AM PST My internal storage on my Samsung s10 is currently full. I have 128GB on it and its currently all used up. I tried deleting some photos, videos, apps, some extra data etc but yet it only freed up 2GB. Does anyone know what else I can do to free up a large amount of internal storage. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 24 Feb 2021 07:29 AM PST Long story short, changed my pin code whilst drunk and cant acces my phone(Galaxy s20) anymore, is there any trolska that can be used to remove the pin code without removing all my data? I've done some googling and the "foegotten" button to restore via Google isn't available and I don't want to lose all my pics. Found some tools that claim to be able to remove then but they seem kinda iffy. [link] [comments] |

Need advice related to a possible phone scam Posted: 23 Feb 2021 05:43 PM PST I recently bought a few Android phones for myself/family from a large chain store (not specifically associated with a major carrier) under a promotional deal. The deal uses line upgrades to apply the full cost as a 24-month payment plan, but there are, apparently, no changes to the plan otherwise. The phones were sold as new, however, upon some digging I found out that the Samsung warranty on all of them was activated over a year ago and expired less than a year ago. I spoke to a Samsung representative who stated that this is almost certainly because the phones were previously used/activated. I called around to all of the major carriers and confirmed that the IMEI is not associated with any past accounts, however. I also checked the CTIA's StolenPhoneChecker (industry-backed/reputable) to check for any lost/stolen alerts, and it's clean. The IMEIs of all the phones appear legit/verified and there are no other signs of damage (including water damage via the sim-slot indicator), use, refurbishment, or other issues. I'm concerned, obviously, as I assume I was lied to about the "new" condition of the phones. I'm wary going forward of any potential risks. I don't want to discover, later on, that there's damage/use of the phone that compromises it, nor any surprises with my phone plan or bill. I also came to find out that this company (a wireless sales company hired/bought-out directly by the major chain store) has a BBB rating of "F" and several complaints about deceptive sales promises-versus-realities (like promising a phone discount only to receive a bill for the full price weeks later). My plan, however, shows the proper cost (as payments per month multiplied by the total months) which accurately reflects the promised promotional cost. This is a shady but mixed (potentially salvageable) bag, and I'm unsure as to how to proceed. I am still within the 2-week return window, and am exploring options/advice on how to handle this. Does anyone have any advice on how to handle this? Is it possible these were bought and immediately returned prior? Or that they were corporate phones activated for employees but never used and sold back afterwards? Any other concerns I should look into? My rationale is that, while potentially shady, this was through major store, the phones/plan seem fine otherwise, the deal was great ($100-200 less than average used price), etc. Any help/advice is much appreciated! Changing tones when call CONNECTS and ENDS. Posted: 24 Feb 2021 04:34 AM PST Is it possible? And I'm not talking about ringtones while someone is calling, I mean the sound when you make a call or accept a call, and the sound when you tap "End Call" or hang up. [link] [comments] |
Is Bittorrent Inc. selling my data? What Kind of Data? Posted: 24 Feb 2021 04:27 AM PST Ok if this gets taken down, fine, I guess I didn't understand the rules. I live in Asia in a country that filters internet content. Hence, I use VPNs. I usually buy content that's available, however I torrent other stuff that's too old to buy conveniently, or not available anymore. But for the sake of this argument let's just say I've torrented something I shouldn't have (copyrighted). I'm not promoting piracy in any way with this post btw. I've used torrents for ages, since bittorrent launched. I've started using an Android client last week (Bittorrent Inc.) and in the last week alone I got TWO DMCAs notices through my VPN providers... That's 2 different notices in 1 week, from 2 different VPN providers, for 2 different files. It has never happened before in my life and I find it rather odd. So I wonder, if using that particular torrent client has anything to do with what has happened. Maybe it's a known fact and I'm just dumb, but I'm genuinely asking. [link] [comments] |
Bypassing country restrictions on YouTube Posted: 24 Feb 2021 04:16 AM PST Based in the UK, using Android YouTube app. Searching for some tutorial videos and the few I want are "not available kn your country" is there a simple way to bypass this? [link] [comments] |
Poco x3 nfc global bootloop problem Posted: 24 Feb 2021 03:15 AM PST Im recently experiencing bootloops and not sure about the possible cause. I did not root it and no new apps installed. Its not very frequent, but in a week, it happens 2-3x. Is there any fix aside from factory reset? [link] [comments] |
