- I'm having a problem with the TV I bought today. It's Axen AX49FIL27 49". First time it booted fine and I installed youtube, netflix and a few other apps. The next time I tried to turn it on it was stuck on bootloop. I can't find anywhere how to enter recovery mode and reset it to factory settings
- Update: I was wrong. The android Ui one of the best. Better than lg and samsung os. Up their with the new fire tv ui and roku.
- Every time I open up CineHub it shows up in a little rectangle, anyone know how to solve this? It says it's optimized for Android TV on there website. (I'm on mi tv btw)
- Hisense HiSmart 4K ATV4 65” TV using the Fox Sports and FoxNow don’t work- I get “Oops, something went wrong”.
- My mind is a little blown at how awful the Xiaomi Mi TV Stick is - anyone else having this experience?
- skyworth 4k uhd tv - overscan issues: Edges are cut off and I can only fix it by changing the overscan settings manully in the factory menu but, every time I switch hdmis or I turn off the tv, the overscan settings reset and I have to change it again manually.

| Xiaomi Mi Smart TV 4S Motion Smooth bug Posted: 06 Jan 2021 06:26 AM PST Hello! I have an issue with this smart TV. First of all I know it is not this product faulty, as I had another tiniert 4s last year and it started having the same issue out of nowhere. Whenever a HDR video/film is being played, the picture mode automatically changes to HDR (as it should), but also restores motion smooth to default, which is standard. If I try to manually change it to off, on Netflix for example, one can still see the motion smooth, even though it says off, while on Amazon Prime if I start a HDR video, it also always resets motion smooth to standard and if I do change it to off while playing the video, the video closes, and then after restarting the video motion smooth is back to standard. I have been doing some research and it seems it might be a firmware bug, Are you by any chance able to help me out? Please, say that any of you has managed to fix this issue.. [link] [comments] | ||
| CCWGTV: no Disney+ Dolby vision? Posted: 06 Jan 2021 06:52 AM PST Apologize if this has been discussed already. If so I'll delete. Is there really no Dolby vision on the Disney+ app? It works great with my Apple TV 4K, but CCWGTV is just HDR10... [link] [comments] | ||
| Youtube playback freezing 0.5s into every video unless I restart Posted: 06 Jan 2021 02:57 AM PST We have a Mi Box S. Basically in the past week or two, every single time we wake up the Mi Box and go into youtube, when we select a video it will play half a second of the video (or of the advert beforehand) and then the video or advert freezes. The box itself isn't crashed as I can go back to YouTube or the homescreen etc. and use the rest of it as normal. The only way to get youtube playback to work is to restart the mi box. So, if we want to watch YouTube these days it goes like this: waken up mi box - restart mi box - wait a couple minutes for it to restart - play. It's frustrating. Things we've tried:
I'd be grateful for any pointers [link] [comments]
| Can all Android TVs be updated to current? Posted: 05 Jan 2021 11:49 PM PST Hopefully I can get some help and advice here - I have an older (2-3 years maybe) Android TV that I can't install certain apps to because it's running Android 5.1 (Phillips 43put6801/79). It shows there are no updates available when I use the menu to update. Am I missing something or am out just out of luck with an older tv? Although I'd say I'm pretty tech savvy I have no experience with Android stuff. [link] [comments] | ||
| How to add bookmark to URL on home screen Posted: 05 Jan 2021 07:04 PM PST Does anyone know how I can add a bookmark to my home screen? I just tried Sideload Channel Launcher 2 and it didn't work for me. In principle it sounds great, it lets you add custom home screen ribbons with custom tiles that open side loaded apps or URLs, but it was so incredibly buggy:
I ended up uninstalling it. I'm happy to side load apps if needed, so long as I can find safe sources. Thanks, [link] [comments]

| Posted: 05 Jan 2021 09:10 AM PST I received a Mi TV Stick as a Christmas gift from my brother and holy moly hot dog - I can't believe they shipped such a broken product. The lag is INSANE. Video streaming freezes/crashes the device frequently. The Hulu app in particular is unusable - I've seen this referenced in a few reviews of the product. Is anyone else here dealing with the same issues? Honestly at this point I'd cut my losses and try to return it, but it was a gift, so I can't. I also read that the Mi TV Stick used to work very well before a software update. I'm a huge fan of Xiaomi from a hardware standpoint, but they're the worst when it comes to breaking their own products with unstable software updates. Was really hoping to replace my old Chromecast, but at this point a five year old device is outperforming a brand new Mi TV Stick. [link] [comments] | ||

The page refreshes every 24 hours but I want the option to refresh manually every X hours. I also need the option to zoom out. Do you know an app that could do all this? Thank you [link] [comments]

| Recommend Free Browser ideally Chromecast with Android TV Posted: 05 Jan 2021 04:23 PM PST So I've been on the Google tech chain for a while and he Chromecast with Android TV is the first first Android TV product I've had. Overall I'm loving it, but looking for a free browser. I've tried Puffin TV of course, and it's solid feature wise but not worth subscribing to a browser. I sideloaded the most recent apk I could find for Firefox for TV. That's been fine but it feels just functional enough as no way to bookmark things, go to an address bar once you're on a website, no faster scrolling, and no way to even access browsing history to get around bookmarks. I feel like someone must've found something that at least is somewhere between Puffin TV and where this Firefox is at, but I can't find anyone posting about it. [link] [comments] |
