Recommend a Free Music Streaming w/o ads for CCGTV?

    Posted: 20 Jan 2021 03:38 PM PST

I have been using Google Home speaker in my bedroom to listen to music using Youtube Music. Then I realize that I have stereo speakers connected to my CCGTV with better sound. So I fired up my TV and started listening. Works great. But Youtube occasionally plays "video" ads, which is more annoying than the "audio" ads.

So I'm looking for a free music streaming service without ads for CCGTV. Any recommendation?

Chromecast with Google TV and Samsung TV Plus

    Posted: 20 Jan 2021 01:57 PM PST

I have a 2016 Samsung TV and just got a new Chromecast. When I power on the TV there is a 95% chance that Samsung's stupid TV Plus channel will start first and either stay on the screen or take a few seconds to disappear.

Not sure if this is due to how the Chromecast powers on or whatever, anyone else have this issue? Can't find a way to disable TV Plus as I don't need it. The Chromecast should keep a little power going when off so the input stays active on the TV, this should fix the problem. My old cable set top box did this, more of a standby mode rather than off completely.

Any idea why 4K HDR movies works fine with Kodi but 4K HDR tv shows don't? [Mi Box]

    Posted: 20 Jan 2021 02:44 PM PST

For example I watched plenty of 4K HDR like those:

    • Tenet.2020.IMAX.2160p.UHD.BluRay.x265.10bit.HDR.DTS-HD.MA.5.1-SWTYBLZ

    • Avengers.Endgame.2019.2160p.UHD.BluRay.X265.10bit.HDR.TrueHD.7.1.Atmos-TERMiNAL

    • Joker.2019.2160p.UHD.BluRay.X265.10bit.HDR.TrueHD.7.1.Atmos-AAAUHD

Whice worked great with HDR displayed, but TV shows that I've tried to watch, the color of them looked faded away whice is the case when HDR content won't work properly. Examples:

    • WandaVision.S01E01.2160p.DSNP.WEBRip.x265.10bit.HDR.DDP5.1.Atmos-CM

    • Stranger.Things.S03.2160p.NF.WEBRip.x265.10bit.HDR.DDP5.1-HDRISTRASH

I'm on a Mi Box (1 version before the release of Mi Box S), and always used the most stable Kodi version.

    Thank you
