Mi box noise after turning off Posted: 07 Jan 2021 05:10 AM PST So i have a problem with my Mi Box (MDZ-16-AB). After i turn it off or i turn the TV off (its conected by the HDMI cable), the Mi Box makes weird, squeeking sounds. They are not so loud but extremely high which makes them unbearable. Interesting fact is that the box makes them only when i turn it off or when i turn the TV off - it doesnt make no sounds when its plugged to the TV and both the TV and Box are on. It gets so annoying that i have to turn it off from the power when I am not using it because i cant stand the noise. Do you know the solution to this problem? [link] [comments]
The TV connects to my bluetooth headphones even when it's asleep Posted: 07 Jan 2021 07:37 AM PST Hi everyone! I've got an annoying problem: since Mi Box S doesn't fully shutdowns when I press the power button, it continues trying connecting to my headphones (I want to use them both on the TV and other devices) and it's really succeeds in this: in 90% of cases my phone / laptop just doesn't have time to connect to earphones, Mi Box is really fast! Every time this happens, I have to go to the living room and unplug the Mi Box. My ideas on how to solve the problem :
I would really appreciate it if someone could share a possible solution to my problem. Thanks! [link] [comments]

(Mi Box 3) All video apps freeze on first second of playback after waking up from sleep Posted: 06 Jan 2021 01:01 PM PST Device is Xiaomi Mi Box 3 After a while of inactivity/sleep each video playback app freezes on first second - YouTube, Twitch, TV stream app. Sound is gone from the whole device (maybe the cause why apps freeze). Only workaround is to restart... basically every time prior I want to use the Android TV Problem started occuring after the second update of Android 9, after the initial upgrade I didn't have this problem. Tried factory reset - didn't fix it. [link] [comments]

Hisense Model 32H5510G keeps switching back Android TV Home Screen on its own Posted: 06 Jan 2021 06:44 PM PST I got a model 32H5510G tv for Christmas and overall I've really enjoyed the tv besides it auto switching from my HDMI input I play Xbox on and it will randomly switch back to the Android Tv homepage or whatever app I had open last. Any help on what I can do to fix this issue, I've found no trigger to make it do it besides it just happening randomly. I haven't tried factory resetting it but the last time I did that with a tv it completely broke my VIZIO one so I'm kinda reluctant to do that anymore. [link] [comments]
4k buffers on startup with gigabit/NAS/shield pro Posted: 06 Jan 2021 12:33 PM PST I'm running PMS on my shield pro. My media is stored on my new DS418 NAS and everything is hardwired to my router with gigabit connection. I go to direct play a 4k remux and it buffers, takes literally 20 seconds to load, and finally DIRECT streams in 4k/HDR. But then skipping forward and pausing and stuff is a pain and not quick and snappy like it used to be, still takes forever just to skip 30 seconds. What happened? What settings al I missing? Nvidea shield pro hardwired to router Synology DS418 NAS hardwired to router Gigabit internet LG OLED C8 Sonos arc surround. *not having an eArc input on my tv could be where the bandwidth struggles to get through my system. Sonos calls it an ARC system but technically should be eArc. Dashboard still shows I'm direct streaming. [link] [comments]
Severe connectivity issues with MBOX to Wifi. Posted: 06 Jan 2021 10:13 AM PST I am having incredible issues with connecting to the Wi-Fi from my MBOX Android 10. Some times I can get connected and it will work for a short period of time, then it will disconnect and maybe say Connected, no internet. Some times it won't connect at all, other times I've connected and it says Limited internet connection. Any ideas how to sort this? Or has anyone experienced similar issues. My broadband provider is Sky in the UK. [link] [comments]
Best Android TV stick/box that supports 480p in 4:3 aspect ratio? Posted: 06 Jan 2021 09:09 AM PST Hello! I'm an enthusiast for old CRT TVs and have a firestick ran through a converter to my television currently, however I have found that Amazon has phased out support for 480p via updates for some time and what I'm left with is a 16:9 output squished to 4:3. With apps like Plex and Kodi that have scaling settings I can stretch my 4:3 content to the whole 16:9 frame and it will look correct so it is okay for now. But I worry I will run in to content on an app without those features and it won't look right and I'd like the menus to look nice and just have more flexibility over this in general. Do any Android TVs still support this feature in 2021 and if so does anyone have a recommendation? Thank you! [link] [comments] |
