Posted: 06 Jan 2021 11:52 AM PST Hi, So as the titel says, in stead of getting a normal notification at the top of my phone(only for outlook) I'm getting pop-up notifications everytime I get an email. Its getting annoying.. Normally I can figure this stuff out myself but I can't find anything on the internet about it as well.. maybe somebody here can help me out. Ow I get a popup as in the movable badge icon that floats over your screen that as you tap it you open the app in a small window. I have a samsung note 9. Recently my phone is changing the sound of the notifications after I remove my aux cable from the headphone jack. Before, it's the standard notification tone, and I can change the loudness. But after removing the cord, after a car ride, it changes to a very loud version, like it's playing over a connected speaker. (like if it were connected) Sometimes it even announces the name of the sender, which can be problematic. Any ideas on how to change this? Android version 9 [link] [comments] |

Posted: 06 Jan 2021 11:07 AM PST Hello, I bought a mini DLP projector that runs on Android 9.0, it has Bluetooth 5.0 and in its developer options I activated a maximum of 5 connected Bluetooth audio devices. I managed to connect 2 Bluetooth headsets at the same time, however, although both are able to send commands (like play/pause/volume) only one receives audio. Each time I touch the volume or playback options on one of the 2 headsets, this one receives the audio, but the other loses the audio (and vis-et-versa). How am I supposed to connect my two headsets so that they both receive audio? The headsets are Steelseries Arctic 3 & a mid-range Chinese headset. Thanks [link] [comments] |

| I bricked my phone trying to root (I'm an idiot--you've been warned) Posted: 05 Jan 2021 12:09 PM PST Hello All The situation:I wanted to root my old moto g6 after investing in a pixel 5. So I gave it a go. I managed to unlock the bootloader without ruining anything. But I tried to root using this tutorial and ruined everything. The tutorial to which I linked is rather old, so I had to scavenge the internet for the relevant files (the links from that video were mostly broken) which I thought I did correctly, but likely did not. The phone shows the bootloader screen, but when I tried to boot in recovery mode, it shows the dead android image with the words "No command" directly beneath it, instead of showing Magisk as it ought to. So I decided to try to unbrick using this tutorial, but I am unable to find online the following information, and as far as I can tell, it doesn't show up on the bootloader screen:
If you can help me either find this information or otherwise help me unbrick my phone, it would be appreciated! Thank you. I was then able to boot from the bootloader screen by navigating to "Start" and pressing the power button. I realize now that there was no way any of you could have helped me, as I neglected to mention my carrier. I did not realize this was important! To posterity, take note of all relevant information in the "about phone" section before (even attempting) rooting. *** EDIT 2: To ensure everything was in working order, I rebooted the phone normally and it asked for a password. Googling suggested to enter "default_password", but this did not work for me (it may for you). I rebooted into bootloader, reconnected via USB and typed the following command: Reboot, and it shouldn't ask for a password. [link] [comments] |

I charged it and turned it on and thank god the battery is still in good condition the only problem is its a Huawei device and as yall know doesn't have an unlocked bootloader and Huawei doesn't give codes anymore. I have a Pixel 3 (not sure if that's related), and for the past few weeks what I think is an ANR message keeps coming up but it goes away too fast to see what the app was! Been trying to figure out if any logs are accessible to see what app is having an issue, but it seems those are only available for developers (which is super annoying, but I digress). Does anyone know of any way to figure this out? Restarting the phone fixes it for a little while, but sometimes it starts happening right away. Yes the file shows that it's downloading then I get notified that it's finished downloading, yes I have a file manager, yes I check every obvious corner in the file manager. The update to 11 changed the behavior of persistent media control notifications. Notably, I've lost app specific Chromecast controls on the lock sceeen. I've gone through the phone settings, but haven't seen anything that addresses the issues. Any idea on how (or if) I can change the behavior back to how it was in Android 10? Thanks.
