My MiniReview app has reached 10k, so here’s a Christmas Giveaway with $645 worth of indie premium games (Majotori, Pixelot, Akirobots, and Labyrinth of Legendary Loot)

    Posted: 28 Dec 2020 08:24 AM PST

As a bit of a belated Christmas gift, I'm launching this giveaway in collaboration with 4 amazing indie developers to celebrate MiniReview reaching 10k total downloads (thank you SO much for the support! <3).

It's important to shine some light on indie devs making fantastic premium mobile games, and these developers definitely deserve it! :)

I've got 4 games and a total of 200 keys with a total value of $645 to give out, and the event can't get any simpler: just leave a comment in the giveaway thread to participate: https://www.reddit.com/r/minireview/comments/klth68/minireview_10k_celebration_giveaway_645_worth_of/

The first 200 people to reply gets one of the games (check the thread for more info).

A HUGE thanks to the developers participating:

Majotori by Majorariatto - 25 keys

Majotori is a fun story-based trivia game in which we affect the lives of different characters by answering geeky pop-culture questions. The game is universally loved, with a 4.7 rating on Google Play, and 8.8 on MiniReview.

If you want to thank the developer for the event, they're active on Twitter.

Akirobots by FlatPonies - 50 keys

AkiRobots is a 2D puzzle platformer where you control multiple characters simultaneously. The goal is simple; Get an Aki to a socket to win. The game includes 100 levels and players can modify existing levels, create new levels to share and import other players' levels via the level editing and sharing system.

The indie team is active on Twitter and Discord - be sure to thank them for being awesome :)

Pixelot by Kyle Berger - 100 keys

Pixelot is a humorous Pokémon-inspired JRPG where our ever-growing group of heroes are tasked with saving the world by collecting crystals through exploring towns, completing fetch quests for villagers, delving into dungeons for unique loot, and getting new heroes to join our cause.

Kyle is also active over on Twitter if you'd like to send some love his way.

Labyrinth of Legendary Loot by Dominaxis Games - 25 keys

Labyrinth of Legendary Loot is the mobile port of a unique free PC turn-based roguelike dungeon crawler that streamlines progression by relying solely on loot, as opposed to levels and xp, to gain new abilities and increase our health, attack, and magic stats.

The game is also available for free on PC via Itch.io.

Rare 8 with not frequent 7 close to each other in this minesweeper game. After more than 1 hour of playing and still lot to do.

Looking for a free, preferably multiplayer android game

    Posted: 28 Dec 2020 07:52 AM PST

Hey everyone! I'm looking for a multi-player online game that does not require lots of grinding to level up.

I am open to any genres as long as it can keep me hooked. I'm pretty bored lately with lots of free time on my hands.

    Thanks.

Android source ports for PC games ?

    Posted: 28 Dec 2020 09:04 AM PST

Some I can think of are: Quad Touch (Quake 1,2,3 and Hexen 2), Delta Touch (Doom 1,2,3), Freedoom (Doom 1,2), OpenMicrowave (Morrowind), ScummMV (Old point and click PC games)

Write down below if you can think of something else. Note: I am not talking about emulators, these are for PC games only.

Best controller for Android to use headphones with?

    Posted: 28 Dec 2020 10:01 AM PST

I'm really pissed off at the lack of options we have when it comes to controllers.

I know you can just use a console controller with a clip but I like the specialized USB c controllers more.

Razer Kishi seems to be hit and miss and doesn't have a headphone jack so its garbage because bluetooth headphones have latency when gaming.

Backbone got paid off by Apple and won't grace the Android with their technology.

Are there any other high quality controllers out there or did we get screwed on this one?

Galaxy buds plus gaming mode is a joke, latency is still there.

Using an Xbox One controller to Android Phone with USB (not bluetooth)

    Posted: 28 Dec 2020 08:37 AM PST

I'm tired of the bluetooth lag and bad connection between my Xbox One S controller and my phone, OnePlus 5T. So I've been trying to connect them wired, but there's conflicting and confusing information about whether this even works. I haven't been able to get it to work with a micro-usb cable connected to the controller, with a USB-C to A adapter in my phone.

Has anyone been able to get a wired connection to work between an Xbox controller and Android phone?

Does anyone know if using a USB-C OTG adapter might solves this? I always assumed that with the dawn of USB-C on phones, we wouldn't need OTG anymore. But there still are USB-C OTG adapters, which makes me think perhaps they force the phone to behave like the host, while a regular USB-C connection doesn't.

I would really appreciate any information anyone can share about this. Thanks.

Is GTA San Andres still broken on Google Pixel phones?

    Posted: 28 Dec 2020 06:35 AM PST

It sounds like Android 11 broke San Andres from working on Pixel devices. I tried to buy it on my 3a the other day and it wouldn't open, so I quickly refunded it. A little research of the reviews on the play store still makes it seem like it's not working. Can anyone confirm?

Looking for a game like DOKDO but in space

    Posted: 27 Dec 2020 03:22 PM PST

I played it like 6 years ago, can't find now. You have resources like oxygen, water and fuel and there are planets which have these resources. So, you travel through space, looking for a planet to migrate, because yours was destroyed, something like that.
