| Philips 43PUS7354/12 turning on by itself Posted: 09 Nov 2020 08:51 AM PST I've seen a couple of threads with this issue, but I have yet to find a solution. My TV keeps turning on by itself, and it always starts with Google Movies trailers. The only way I can go to this mode myself is to press the "TV"-button on the remote (Imagelink on bottom). It happens most during the night, and I think it only happens when I am near the TV, as if it has some sensor or something. The frequency varies. The other night it turned itself on 2-3 times in two hours. I removed remote batteries to see if the remote was faulty, but it happened again. I've factory reset the TV. I know it has turned itself on the moment I've entered the room or sometimes passed the TV. I've seen some forums suggesting some IR-blaster (?) from the phone could be the issue, but wouldn't it happen all the time if that was the issue? I'ev also tried literally dancing in front of the TV to see if there is some motion detection or anything, though that wouldn't make sense as it keeps turning on at night (When I'm not moving). I have a USB-drive connected, but it does happen with and without it. No HDMI connected. Power unplugged multiple times Factory reseted Only one phone in the room (Galxy S9). | Xiaomi Mi Box 3 "No signal" issue Posted: 09 Nov 2020 05:58 AM PST So just out of the blue my Mi Box (MDZ-16-AB) unit just won't display an image on the TV. It powers on and you can see the white light in front of the unit. The white light flashes every time a button is pressed on the remote, so it seems to respond to that. But as I say, no image on screen. If I connect one of those USB-to-Ethernet adapters to it, that adapter lights up and its other light flashes, indicating a valid physical link to the network and that data packets are passing through. So that seems fine. Tried different HDMI cables, different TV's and also another known working power supply. Can't do a factory reset as there is no image to see what one is doing. I'm thinking, possibly a faulty HDMI port? But otherwise this has me stumped. [link] [comments] | ||
| New Google tv setup, many issues Posted: 09 Nov 2020 08:03 AM PST Just hooked up my gtv last night and it has been plagued with issues. Just FYI. I have a roku ultra, fire tv 2nd generation box and nvidia shield, hooked up to the same denon avr and LG 4k tv. They all work fine with none of the following issues.
This is what I have found, so far. Crave tv works, which makes me wonder if Disney and Amazon issues are geolocation related. My primary Google account was originally setup in the USA, that's the account all my YouTube and assistant is connected to. I have a secondary Canadian account that I use, strictly for getting Canadian apps. This works fine on shield tv, just have to switch accounts in the store when getting apps. I have changed my primary account to the Canadian one, but, it hasn't resolved the issues. The ui looks nice and it's pretty snappy. Wish the theater control was hdmi-cec, like the shield, so you don't have to point for ir control. Any Canadians out there having the same issues? Thanks [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 08 Nov 2020 11:05 AM PST Hi, So Netflix on android tv was working fine until last 2 days I have 2 Philips PUS8303 both have downgraded resolution these last 2 days Network is fine, its 500 down and 20 up Network test on tv shows 460-480(wifi) cannot get it wired Netflix speed test shows 110-130Mbps but runs videos with 0.21mbps / 480 or 540 Tried this on both TVs, Tried this with different networks, tried this with mobile data all with the same result of 0.21mbps/480 or 540 I set up the Netflix profile to highest, restarted TVs, uninstalled updates on Netflix, reinstalled them, cleared cache, cleared data, logged out, restarted router, checked with Netflix support they say just do the steps they provide (nothing changed) cheeked with ISP everything is fine, Netflix on Mobile, Laptop, Pc is fine as usual with usual resolutions 720p and 1080p I gave up now so im coming here to ask you guys if anyone has an idea. Sony seems much better in build quality and picture quality but it's almost $250 more expensive. Also is this model the latest Sony android tv model? On these android TVs can I download games from the google play store and play them using a Bluetooth controller. I do understand it won't run high graphic games but I am looking for casual gaming. Most reviews I found about the C715 are paid reviews, so they only say good stuff about the TV and no cons... I saw somewhere that when watching a 4K video on youtube, the TV doesn't change to 4K mode (like showing the resolution change on the corner) and Kodi reporting 1920x1080 on the resolution info.
