[Game Request] Tactical Ship Battles? Posted: 28 Nov 2020 08:57 AM PST Hi there! I'm a huge fan of chess-like, turn-based tactical games like X-COM and Banner Saga. My favorite board games include X-Wing: The Miniatures Game (shout-out to r/xwingtmg ) and Star Wars Armada. I feel like either\both of those games would handle well on Android, indeed, a fan project called Fly Casual has ported over a fully functional version of X-Wing, but I'm wondering if there are other games that feature turn based movements and attacks, preferably with a sci-fi skin, although I wouldn't be surprised if there's a good, sea-based version as well. Let me know your recs! [link] [comments]
Looking for CRPGS, turn-based tactics, base-builders, strategy etc (preferably paid) Posted: 27 Nov 2020 10:31 PM PST I will be bedridden for the next 2 months and I really need some good games that can help me pass the time. I enjoy CRPGs (although BG1 & 2 are quite hard to play on the phone, so something phone friendly would be lovely), turn-based tactics (like Xcom or even Door Kickers), base-builders (I love Mindustry but I have played it to death), and strategy games. I prefer paid games but free games are also ok if they are completely free like Mindustry (I almost never play free games because of locked content, energy systems etc). Thanks in advance guys. [REQUEST] Looking for a 2D space shooting a game I played about 5+ years ago Posted: 28 Nov 2020 10:21 AM PST Basically, you had a ship that was mostly in the middle of the screen and there were enemies and asteroids coming at you from all directions. There was a lot going on the the screen, it was really immersive and had great and cool graphics, there was something "hardcore" about it. You could move the ship with left thumb and rotate with right thumb (if I recall correctly). [link] [comments]
Is there a list of games that won't work on Android 10? Posted: 28 Nov 2020 10:19 AM PST I got a new phone recently and I've seen a message that comes up whenever I start some of my old games like TWEWY, saying the app was built for an older version of Android and may not run properly. Can I just ignore this message? Some of the games haven't been updated in a while, so I'd rather know if they're okay to play. [link] [comments]
[REQUEST] Non-abusive puzzle games or "cute" or "cartoony" hack'n'slash for my wife. Posted: 28 Nov 2020 09:43 AM PST My wife was playing games like Toon Blast where by the 2000+ levels you're basically paying for coins for progression. I thought I broke her of the habit by introducing her to Stardew Valley which she's played religiously for the last year. She's "completed" the game on three different maps by doing all of the achievements (including completing the museum) and is now losing interest waiting for the 1.5 update. her favorite part of this game is going in the mine and killing monsters. She likes games like Toon Blast and Ball Sort, but is open to other types of games. She doesn't like JRPG style games (I showed her Chrono Trigger.) She plays Diablo III on PC and playstation, but is super casual (doesn't pay attention to stats and plays the lowest level content and acts because she just wants to mindlessly kill monsters). Anything that requires any amount of min/max or stat juggling is "algebra" and she refuses to do it.
EDIT: I forgot she also like Pirate, trading, or economy based games like Tradewinds (PC) [link] [comments]

Posted: 28 Nov 2020 06:22 AM PST Searching for the best one in your opinion. Never played the popular ones so I don't know witch of them is the best. [link] [comments]
[REQUEST] Match 3 with decorating, no paywall, ads are fine. Posted: 28 Nov 2020 03:03 AM PST I adore games like Lily's Garden or Gardenscapes (before the weird brain puzzles) but they all get ridiculously hard and I'm not that great at them. I found Disney Getaway and so far it is perfect but I play that one with my husband so I can't advance when he isn't around. Ads are fine and even iap as long as it isn't necessary or it's for cosmetics. Thanks so much! [link] [comments]
why don't bluetooth controller reviewers ever talk about the most important things? Posted: 28 Nov 2020 11:36 AM PST Like Analog Sticks being precise is such a MAJOR important thing but virtually NO reviewer ever talks about this aspect. I was conned into buying a ipega and the sticks were HORRIBLE. Like NO precision t he deadzone was so off on the analog. Good luck trying to play a 3D Mario platformer that requires precise analog movement. It was virtually impossible. But you would never know this if you just watched all of the reviews on youtube. Are there any games like deep rock galactic? Posted: 28 Nov 2020 07:02 AM PST I really enjoy DRG on the xbox but I'm not at home that much these days and only have my phone for entertainment. Are there any games that are anything like it on Android? [link] [comments]
Is achieving success in Clash Royale genre still possible? What this game should have? Posted: 28 Nov 2020 06:42 AM PST Clash Royale is unquestionable king of its genre. If I'm correct it was a first game in this genre, and its spawned really big amount of followers trying to copy its success. Mixing formula of moba, strategy and card games was really fresh idea, but still nobody achieved succes as big as original game. If I can show my personal favourites Clash Royale followers from past few years: Gears POP - really fun take of genre in Gears of War. There wasn't towers, but a single leader to kill. Game implemented Gears of War most popular mechanic of covers, so our units automatic hided behind them and by this extended our summoning range. Unfortunately game gonna be shut down in 2021. Revolve8 - One of my favorites so far. Made by SEGA, takes characters from legends and fairytales. One of most key element was dividing characters for regular units and heroes. Every heroes had some specjal skill, we could activate by choosing his as a our deck leader. The UI and tutorials were really great, each character and unit had tag that tells player its specialization like tank, dps or support. So for example Emperor was a tank, and could provoke enemy's units to attack him. Unfortunately game was shut down, but SEGA already made its successor. League of Wonderland - Another one from SEGA, successor of Revolve8. Setting and mechanics were pretty much the same, but now some characters had new mechanic called Draw Skill. By using draw skill player could choose certain direction of skill effect, so it could be used to even moving characters between, this time 3 lanes. Games offered also various towers to choose. It's get shut downed too. Soul of Eden - The newest one, made by Rayark. It's offer much more card game elements, because player build full 30 cards deck instead of 8 cards in infinite rotation. And if you run out of card, well... Good luck. There is 4 factions divided to two planets, and player can mix factions from the same planet. There is also no lanes and towers, just one leader to kill. Game is pretty fun but have small playerbase. Compared to these games, Clash Royale don't offer really much innovations. Also, in my opinion it's have really awful and player unfriendly UI. Because Clash Royale don't tell you anything about units besides just basic stats. There isn't tags or classes like in other games, where tanks or dps are marked. But somehow, with its basic formula and absolutely horrible UI its still the most popular game in its genre. So, back to title questions, why is your opinion Clash Royale is so popular? And what elements should have game to achieve the same success? Is this even possible? [link] [comments]
I spent £7.99 on an IAP but didn't get what I bought? Posted: 27 Nov 2020 11:07 PM PST I tried to buy something earlier and when It was on the Google pay screen when it was loading I accidentally swiped off and it charged me but I didn't get what I bought. is there a way to get my money back? Posted: 28 Nov 2020 06:18 AM PST So I found this website game called D&D Destiny, and its in-depth complicated character customization greatly interested me, thus I came looking for something similar to that... and I found Siralim 3,Knights of Pen & Paper,Vampire's Origin, some roguelike games however, they're just mostly character builds customization that only customize appearance, limited stat build and one class for the choosing and nothing more than that (in some cases skills, and obviously items).. what I'm looking for is a game that offers more than that and if not, at least something that has a lottttt of varieties to choose from customization (I know it sounds a lot like an rpg maker, however I'm hoping to find one that isn't) Edit: ah, about that no mmorpgs, pixel or 2D MMORPGS is fine... just please no 3D ones [link] [comments]

Anyone own the PowerA Mogu XP5 X? Posted: 28 Nov 2020 03:27 AM PST Hi, I read in a review that the phone holder can press the volume/power buttons on some phones due to placement. I was wondering if someone could measure the distance between the teeth on the phone holder for me. I'm hoping they will be wise enough to hold either side of my volume buttons. Thanks for your help.
