WiFi and Ethernet connection problems. Posted: 14 Sep 2020 03:11 AM PDT Hello. I have been on holiday for couple of days and after I came home and turned the tv on(sony bravia) it couldnt connect to wifi(says it is connected but its out of range. The router is 4 m next to the tv.) I tried with ethernet cable and I thought the problem was fixed but the next day I couldnt connect with cable either. Its wierd cus i can use the netflix app, but no YT, hbo etc... Does anyone know a solution? [link] [comments]
Is the mi box really IR compatible? Posted: 14 Sep 2020 08:48 AM PDT So I've seen many posts with people claiming to use IR remotes with the mi box. But I've tried many codes and apps with my IR equipped mobile phone and nothing works. Even xiaomi's official app doesn't seem to do the trick. Am I doing something wrong? Are there different versions of this box around? [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Sep 2020 07:48 AM PDT Hi everyone, I am considering to buy a xiaomi mi box s. Could someone test if the Servus TV app exists on it (Austrian Red Bull owned Tv channel). I was not able to find info, i know for sure it runs on android tablets [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Sep 2020 08:15 PM PDT Just got a Sony A8H OLED TV. Does the Chromecast via Android TV supports 4K HDR streaming? I'm trying to see if I need to get a Chromecast Ultra or if I can just stick with what's built in the TV. [link] [comments]
Does such a device exist? I want Dolby Vision, Atmos, Apple TV+ and Netflix in DV/DA. Posted: 14 Sep 2020 05:58 AM PDT I have a home theatre set up (TV, 4K player, PS4, cable box, receiver and speakers). My Android TV has Netflix built-in, which can output in Dolby Vision but does not output in Dolby Atmos. My 4K player can output Netflix in Dolby Atmos but not in Dolby Vision. My PS4 can do neither. None of these devices has Apple TV+. So I'm looking for the Holy Grail device that can do all of these things. I was looking at the Nvidia Shield yesterday and it is so close, except it doesn't have Apple TV+, at least not natively. I do plan to get a PS5 in a couple months. Sony is being very hush hush as to what it will offer for non-gaming media output, but fingers crossed that it will tick off all of my boxes. EDIT: The Apple TV 4K does all these things! Thanks to /u/Geniex5. [link] [comments]

Which apps support the Watch Next queue on the Android TV home screen? Posted: 13 Sep 2020 03:12 PM PDT By support, I mean, if you start watching a series in an app (e.g. HBO Max), then it will show up in Watch Next with the next episode displayed, ready to be clicked on to watch. Or if you start watching a movie and don't finish it, it will show up in Watch Next. I've read different things on this matter over time. I've seen reports of Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+ (perhaps other apps too) working with Watch Next, at least at some point, and then not. I'm wondering what the status of this feature is right now. [link] [comments]
Posted: 13 Sep 2020 01:28 PM PDT Hi, I can't install F1 TV to my new Tivo 4K as it's not a supported device. Is it common for all Android TVs or just the Tivo player? [link] [comments]
Phone remote apps that work well with Verizon Stream TV? Posted: 13 Sep 2020 05:53 PM PDT I got a free Verizon Stream TV (yay) and just finished setting it up and so far I'm very happy with it. But I'm struggling to find a good phone app that will control it (the TV it is plugged into is old enough that it doesn't have any WiFi capabilities). I usually like Anymote but I can't seem to get it to work with this thing, and the official Android TV remote app released by Google, while fast and responsive, lacks a volume or power button. The other apps I have tried are just so painfully slow to process input and I would really rather not use them. It's not a serious problem. The remote it came with works perfectly, but I just like having a backup option just in case I ever misplace it and I'm feeling too lazy to dig under my bed lol. [link] [comments] |
