[Guide] Getting Microsoft Teams working on Android TV Posted: 01 Sep 2020 01:39 PM PDT Requirements:
Prerequisites:
Note: You can replace SideLoad Launcher and X-Plore with the TV Launcher and File Browser and installer of your choice. Installation:
Known Issues: For some uses a mouse is needed. Audio volume for people in a conference is low. So far I have had issues with the mic cutting out after a few seconds. (May be related to Bluetooth speakers attached to the TV, lacking a mic) This requires testing on different / better hardware. Current Setup: Hisense 43H6570G with a Junk webcam and bookshelf speakers connect by a cheap Bluetooth amp. [link] [comments]
Does Xiaomi already fix the mi box s external HDD issue? Posted: 02 Sep 2020 02:18 AM PDT Greetings, everyone. I want to buy Mi Box S for my friend. Primarily, my friend wants to watch MKV format movies from his 2 TB NTFS external hard drive. I read on the internet (and this subreddit) that Mi Box S had a severe problem regarding the external hard drive compatibility in the Oreo version. So, does Xiaomi already fix the issue? A little side story: I have a Mi TV that runs great on reading the MKV movies via VLC (I've never tried Kodi). I also tried my friend's hard disk, and it ran great. Can I expect the same thing with the Mi Box S? My friend doesn't have any streaming subscription service nor a descent internet, so the Mix Box S probably is gonna just for the media reading. I welcome any suggestions. Thank you! [link] [comments]

Wireless show pictures on Android TV Posted: 01 Sep 2020 10:46 PM PDT What is the best way to do it? I can obviously use Chromecast/screen mirroring, but then the pictures are limited to my phones resolution with visible pixels and aliasing on the TV. I have my pictures synced with Google Fotos, but there seems no way to access that backup on the android TV. Am I missing something, or is the only option to copy my pictures to USB if i want to see them in full resolution? [link] [comments]
Android can't play files from USB flash drive. Posted: 01 Sep 2020 03:04 PM PDT I just plugged in my flash drive into an Android TV through the USB 1.0 port. When I used the music app, the audio files from the flash drive appears, but when I click play, it doesn't play and a small message comes up that says it can't play the song. Is the problem because I plugged it into the USB 1.0 port (it is a new flash drive, around the time of 2014)? Or is it something else? Thanks. [link] [comments]
Any Android boxes that only play from USB/SD cards? Posted: 01 Sep 2020 06:43 PM PDT My folks have a summer home / cottage without internet access, I am looking for a box that only plays downloaded movies and no Netflix etc. I had a cheap non-android device but had a lot of issues with high bit rate movies wherein they would stutter and skip during playback, presumably due to underpowered processor or RAM.. Nvidia's Shield Pro is my first choice but I dont want to pay for unnecessary features like gaming or apps. TL;DR Can anyone recommend a device that will allow us to playback pirated movies from USB, but doesnt have other unnecessary features I dont want to pay for? [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Sep 2020 10:30 AM PDT Been using my fancy new Sony Android TV for a couple weeks. Wish I'd bought something else. This is a joke beta platform, extremely buggy and nothing works. Typical bleeding edge tech pushed too soon without any thought. Endless problems, the apps (the few there are) are even more buggy and broken. Can't stream CBS, can't open the NBC app, on-screen keyboard vanishes... Nothing works. Everything is full of ads, crashes, or is expensive. I miss actual TV. Sony Bravia Android TV is just another layer of selling you shit 24/7 while tracking your every move. Is this.... normal? What a sick sad world. [link] [comments] |
