Posted: 20 Sep 2020 06:55 AM PDT A few years ago I had, on my former phone, an app called GalleryCam, that allowed you to select it as a camera inside other apps, and then pick Pictures from your Phone Gallery instead of taking a new one. I installed the app again today, as well as several others, but no matter what I tired to do, no app let me chose which camera I wanted to use. Can this be fixex? | Sleep&Lock timeouts: only dims screen, does not lock Posted: 20 Sep 2020 11:39 AM PDT Let me start by saying I know the difference between screen timeout and lock timeout and where to find them. Android on Pixel 2 Smart lock is disabled. There are no "trusted" locations or devices enabled. Settings>advanced>screen timeout is set to 15 seconds. Settings>Security>Screen Lock>[gear]>Automatically Lock is set to immediately after sleep. Wait 15 seconds, the screen only dims and it does not lock. Tap to brighten screen, not locked. Apparently it now never goes black unless I press the power button. Pressing the power button shuts off screen and it is locked upon awakening. This is the behavior I want to the sleep/lock timeouts. I am reasonably sure is used to work this way. Not sure which how which update started the new behavior. Could there be some other app or setting which interferes with screen sleep timer and automatic lock? [link] [comments] |

I get that prioritize RCS but what if i want to send SMS specifically, I can't see any option. It only allows me to choose if i turn off all internet connection. My understanding is that it supposed to switch automatically, but if recipient doesn't have connection i have no idea if he/she received the message and how to send it as SMS [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 20 Sep 2020 11:18 AM PDT Hi, so I can't stand the phone app anymore, and was hoping there's a good alternative. 90% of the time, I use the phone app to call a single person, everyone else is mostly text/email/video-call, yet there's no option to have the "just call this one person" screen. The result is that I keep going to call them and miss-click someone else, then I have to awkwardly explain that I "butt dialed" them, because there is no confirmation ("are you sure you wanted to call X?"), even if I hang up before it even rings, they get a missed call from me. Does anyone know about a phone app that doesn't force you to list all your recent calls/contacts and just lets you make a custom "who I call the most" page? [link] [comments] |

I've gone into the Google app and made sure only the team I'm interested in shows in the "Topics you Follow" list, but to no avail. I'm getting all the scores for every game in MLB right now. I do browse the Internet a lot bc I do a lot of studying on my phone, but to give you an idea of just jow bad it is, I used Firefox for 26 minutes today and accidentally left it running in the background for 16 minutes. In this time Firefox drained 6.8% of my battery. Is there a browser for android that allows you to reorder your tabs and doesn't annihilate battery life? [link] [comments] |

| Is ytmp3 safe if i use uBlock? Posted: 20 Sep 2020 01:26 AM PDT So ive been using ytmp3 for about 2 years and ive never had problems with it downloading malware or anything. But i stumbled on a thread yesterday where someone said that ytmp3 was bad because it downloaded some ytmp3.cc thing that messes with the browser. Ive never had such an issue although the site did have alot of pop-ups and redirects back when i used characters rome but i was always careful not to press anything, and ever since swotching to firefox and using ublock ive never seen any pop ups and ublock only ever stopped 1 redirect other than that the site does do anything. So is it really bad for an android even if you use adblock? and if so any suggestions for a better yt to mp3 converter? [link] [comments] |

Problem being, the phone also restarted during the screen change, so i cannot enable either usb debugging or mtp mode before completing the lock screen pattern, which i can't do since the screen also doesnt seem to recognize any sort of touch functions. if i connect a mouse via otg i can sometimes hear somesounds and vibrations, meaning the phone itself is not dead aside the screen. | HELP: s10e will not and cannot turn on. Water Damage? Posted: 20 Sep 2020 08:29 AM PDT Hello everyone, I've been scouring the internet for an answer to my problem, and has only led to frustrations. I seem to have a unique problem. Yesterday, I managed to drop the phone into a bath (was in there less than 2 seconds) I proceeded to stand it up so the water could drain out of any of the sockets. From here, it turned off. Once I attempted to turn it on by plugging it in 30minutes afterwards, it started to loudly beep and vibrate while having a black screen. From here, I placed it into a bag of rice, into a wardrobe and left it overnight since I could not turn it on or do a hard reset. The morning after, the beeping stopped and after a short while on charge, I managed to turn it on. However, it then died once again. And I am trying to turn it on now. The beeping has stopped, I have tried to use a hard reset (power button & volume down button), I have spammed the power button, I've held down for several minutes. I've left it in rice for a few more hours and a few other things. It currently says I have 54% battery on the black screen (not the lock screen). However, if I remove the charging cable, and then plug it back in, it will say I have no charge at all. Only for it to then come up after saying I have 54%. Is there any other way to turn on? | Why is my camera orange in most modes on Resurrection Remix OS? Posted: 19 Sep 2020 02:10 PM PDT In video it's fine, when I go to take a picture it changes to be super orange unless I put it on a different mode, panorama seems to change it to be normal for some reason. Changing the white balance on the default mode in different camera apps helps somewhat but the pictures still don't end up looking true to life.
