Can anyone explain why this sudden Among Us popularity?

    Posted: 16 Sep 2020 08:34 PM PDT

    Basically the title.

I know the game is very good. But it launched years ago and suddenly became 1st place on Twitch with more than 400k viewers.

Multiplayer games that are played at one device for two people? Like boardgames or others?

    Posted: 17 Sep 2020 09:26 AM PDT

I am looking for games that can be played with two people on one device. Don't have to be classical boardgames. I would also like to get some advice for games for two people with two devices.

PSA: Civilization VI device compatibility seems to have been expanded

    Posted: 17 Sep 2020 09:06 AM PDT

    Hello everyone,

I've been curious about Civ VI ever since they released it on Android, but my device (Pixel 3a XL) was unfortunately not supported at launch. This morning, I was browsing the Play Store and noticed it was available for install.

From reading this sub, I know I wasn't the only one feeling bummed out that the game was only available on a very limited set of devices, hopefully some of you can give it a try now.

    Stay safe out there!

[REQUEST] Free game like Episode where you can play without paying. Ads are fine.

    Posted: 17 Sep 2020 07:43 AM PDT

I really like choose your own story games like Episode but they always like make you pay to continue at a certain point it seems. I'm looking for:

    • A choose your own story game

    • Don't have to pay to complete the stories

    • Free to download

Like I said, I'll watch as many ads as they want to help out the developers but I can't afford to actually pay directly at any point. Thanks!

    Real time 1v1 game suggestions?

    Posted: 17 Sep 2020 01:04 AM PDT

Can you guys suggest me a game where you can 1v1 your friends in real time. For example, I've had a lot of fun playing Head Ball 2 with my friends but its more of a grind to win. Brawlhalla is fun too but the control feels awkward, its much better on PC. Anyone knows similar games?

New to Android, question about "Google Play Games"

    Posted: 16 Sep 2020 02:46 PM PDT

    Hello r/AndroidGaming,

I recently got an Android phone after my iPhone 5 was getting slow to the point of unusability. I played Clash of Clans on my iPhone 5 since 2013 and after Supercell added their Supercell ID, I made an account which allowed me to transfer my account from my iPhone to my Samsung A20S seamlessly (like Android users have been doing for years prior).

So my question is, why do I need Google Play Games? Clash of Clans required it upon loading the game. Also, if I do need it, do I need to log-in/link my Google Play Games account with my already existing Clash of Clans account in order to get the achievements? Do I get any of the achievements for things I've already completed before switching to Android?

If someone could help me out it would be a great help.

[REQUEST] Looking for games that are beatable.

    Posted: 16 Sep 2020 03:04 PM PDT

This post is probably gonna be a little long, so sorry for that lol.

I've been playing games on mobile since I was 13. I'm now 20 and I'm level 45 on Google Play Games. I used to play a lot more and I'm looking to get back into it. The problem is that most games I play are just forever grinds. Which can be fun to some extent, but usually end up abandoned after a week or two.

To my recollection I've played 5 games to completion out of the hundreds I've played throughout the years. Game Dev Story, Soda Dungeon, MinuteQuest, Green the Planet, and an idle game about space I can't remember the name of.

Most of those games can be completed in a couple days if you're giving them your attention pretty frequently throughout the day. Which is great. I really enjoy games that can actually be beaten without investing years into them. I've been playing Tiny Tower, Adventure Capitalist/Communist, and other games like them on and off for years. And while I'm a pretty high level, it's just a little disheartening to never really complete a game.

So, I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions for me? I like a wide variety of games, but there are some that I don't like, so I guess I can list those straight away.

Not a fan of puzzle games. Stuff like Flow Free, Roll the Ball, Candy Crush, Cut the Rope, etc. I play them on occasion, but they're not really my thing.

Same with more arcade like games. Hill Climb Racing, Temple Run, Subway Surfers, Jetpack Joyride, Super Falling Fred, etc. These are also really fun on occasion, but I've played so many of them throughout the years that I'm kinda over them.

Also not hugely into games that would be better played with a controller. Stuff like Call of Duty, Fortnite, the more interactive racing games, etc. I haven't played Among Us yet, just because everytime I go to download it I see the controls and it turns me off. I'm sure some of these can be really fun, but they're not really what I play the most.

As far as games I like, well the ones I said I completed are pretty great. I also really like idle games, or games where you continually upgrade things. Cookie Clicker was really big when I was like 13 or 14 and it's kinda influenced my taste since. I also really enjoy DragonVale, No Zombies Allowed (which is no longer available unfortunately), BitCity, Game Dev Tycoon, Zombie Highway (also no longer available), Zombie Road Trip, Zombie Farm (also no longer available lol), Turretz, Pocket Army, Upgrade The Game, Timing Hero, CSR Racing/Classics, Drag Racing, Egg Inc, Almost A Hero, 1655m, Reigns, Buff Knight Advanced, Realm Grinder, Dr. Meth, CivCrafter, and many more I could spend probably 45 minutes listing.

Again, sorry for the long post. Hopefully I followed all of the rules lol. Also, I hope I introduce some people to some of the games I listed. They're all pretty great. Worth a little time at least. And thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to help me find some games. Happy gaming.

Samsung A11 Support Display Out via USB C?

    Posted: 16 Sep 2020 06:15 PM PDT

I have a buddy that is trying to mirror his Samsung Galaxy A11 on his TV. We have already tried a usb c to hdmi cable and no luck. We did verify that cable did work on another phone. Is it possible that the A11 doesn't support display out or do I need a more specific adapter?
