I think this community may be the only thing keeping the Android indie developer scene alive

    Posted: 27 Sep 2020 11:00 AM PDT

I joined this sub years ago (this account is more recent) to you know... get news and recommendations about good new games. I remember this sub when it used to get like 6-7 posts a week and posts got like 3-4 comments.

Now this sub has grown into a proper active community with lots of posts everyday and lots of discussions. But what I didn't realise was how important this sub had become to the Android indie development scene as I wasn't really into gamedev until like 6-7 months ago. I tried to spread awareness about my game on lots of different channels and you know what the scary thing is? It's literally a blackhole out there when it comes to Android gaming communities that aren't into something other than the Play Store frontpage.

I spoke to a lot of other developers and they all said the same thing - unless they were a big name they could spend an eternity trying to promote their games elsewhere and none of that mattered compared to the overwhelming response and feedback that they got from this sub. I think a lot of Android indie projects would be DOA if this sub didn't exist.

So I guess this was a sort of appreciation post for this community. You guys have no idea how important you are.

    Turn based JRPG games.

I've been playing the hell out of Battle Chasers Nightwar and I'd like to get into another game like that which is well polished. I'm willing to pay but I would like stability amd not a crappy port into android that's buggy as hell. I get thay BCN was a port but it transitioned nicely.

Bonus if it is gamepad compatible.

[Request] looking for a merge or match 3 game that won't bombard me to sign into Facebook. I don't mind wait times for refills or paying a little money. Just NO FACEBOOK to save my game.

Help me find described or similar game plz

    Posted: 27 Sep 2020 08:57 AM PDT

i played this game for short time in past. This is as much as i can remember : Player has to take robot (or maybe car not sure) from one point to other. It has to be done by using function and movement blocks. Player can use function inside function. In short game was about use of function, programming etc.

cant buy bike so android is the way to go

What sorts of case friendly mobile phone gaming triggers or cases do you use for games like PUBG mobile?

    Posted: 27 Sep 2020 08:00 AM PDT

Instead of buying and trying out more expensive triggers that don't fit over a cover, I thought that I would have a space to find this elusive perfect solution to the implied problem.

Emulate PS4/Xbox Controller with BT Controller?

    Posted: 27 Sep 2020 11:18 AM PDT

To keep it short and sweet, I have an Ipega 9083s and I want to use it to play Asphalt 9. The controller works great with emulators and most games, seemingly having support out of the box, however Asphalt 9 doesn't work. I'm curious if there is a way to trick Android into thinking I have a PS4/Xbox controller connected instead? The button mappings appear to be correct but I have a feeling Asphalt 9 has hard-coded controller support, and if you don't have a specific controller, then you're SOL. Device is a Galaxy Z Fold 2 which I don't think has root suppor yet.

More people should be talking about Dandara

This game works excellent on a touch screen bc of its movement mechanic. It's honestly a really neat concept with very satisfying gameplay. Worth the price

[Request] looking for a game like Hayday Pop

    Posted: 26 Sep 2020 07:45 PM PDT

I'm looking for something like Hayday Pop (with the match elements, the progression and the pleasant colour theme) but without the limitations of life and energy (this one, unfortunately, has both).

I don't mind paying for the game outright. Any suggestions would be appreciated. (I don't like Bejeweled because it feels a bit pointless and the colour theme is too dark and depressing for me)

It would be great if it the orientation was vertical.

    TIA.

    Soul Hunter like game

    Posted: 26 Sep 2020 08:35 PM PDT

So I am looking for a game like soul hunter. Basically not extra high graphics or anything. Prefer slow building of heroes over time and regular updates. Any advice?

[REQUEST] Does anyone know a game like this? It was my favorite game but the servers seem to be down. It was a card game based on naruto, and you had a campaign or could fight other people. With the money you earned you could upgrade your weapons and ninjas. The picture is exactly how it looked.
