How to show Youtube video information in Android TV? Posted: 30 Aug 2020 03:03 AM PDT I bought a Sony KD-65AG9 TV with Android TV. Loving the device so far. One thing I noticed is that in the Youtube app it doesn't show video information like description or likes and dislikes. Is there a way to show them? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Aug 2020 05:20 AM PDT Hey guys, my on screen keyboard is gone on my mi box 3! I havent changed any settings whatsoever! Everytime I try to open the keyboard (for example when searching apps on play store) it shows me a bar with a big mic button where I can use voice to search... I already tried disabling and deleting gboard updates that fixed the problem 🙈 Do you face this issue too? I have read that there will be a new on screen keyboard for android tv soon is that true? TV won't turn on from Standby. Posted: 30 Aug 2020 04:43 AM PDT I own a basic Kogan tv, I think it's a repurposed Changhong TV and I find that it will sometime just won't turn on from Standby. The remote won't respond, the power button won't respond only way to fix it is too pull the plug. Is there anyway to address this, like connect to it via USB, a certain app or should I just factory reset it and start again [link] [comments] |
Need a nice Live stream app for my Android TV Posted: 30 Aug 2020 02:56 AM PDT Hello everyone. I want to install on my AndroidTV Live stream Tv app to watch USA channels. I already know about Plex and installed it. And also about Koda( I don't how to use it ). I thin think about AirTV but it seems that require some gadget for enable. I'm not from the USA. So if you have any recommendations help me and if it's impossible then say me too :-) Thanks in advice [link] [comments] |
5.1 not working in Disney+ Mibox S Posted: 29 Aug 2020 06:11 PM PDT I'd any of you having the same problem? 5.1 works perfectly fine in any other app such as Netflix or Hulu, but Disney+ doesn't even offer the option of having 5.1 audio, just language and subtitles. Is it a hardware, software problem? Or maybe my subscription doesn't include it? [link] [comments] |
Live channels multiple sources Posted: 29 Aug 2020 01:30 PM PDT I have an antenna and a satellite dish and want an app where I can have channels from both sources on the same epg. Can I use the live channels app for this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 30 Aug 2020 01:36 AM PDT I have an android tv box H96 Max RK3318 with rockchip processor. I know its a cheap tv box but I currently have only this one. It supports casting but only via the Airscreen app. Whenever I cast youtube videos, it casts them but via airscreen app. I wanted to know is there any alternative for this app? Because it is paid app and the free version only offers limited options [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Aug 2020 06:35 PM PDT I'm trying to watch live tnt app and the picture will work for 30 seconds and then start skipping. It is working on other TVs. Any fix? [link] [comments] |
Media player for Android TV [Is there one that stands out?] Posted: 29 Aug 2020 06:31 PM PDT I have few media players installed on my Nvidia shield: VLC, MXplayer and of course Kodi I have edited Kodi to use different players depending on content and situations. But my question is if any player is a real game changer and gives us better quality over others? I have already stopped using MXPlayer because it can't correctly handle audio pass-through in HW+ mode. So I mainly use VLC and Kodi's default player. So do you advise using Kodi's default or VLC or another player? I mostly use it to watch high quality 4K or FullHD files with 5.1 or 7.1 audio (pass-through) edit: Most of the time files are on my PC or External hard disks attached to my pc. I use Emby server on PC to access them from Nvidia shield or SMB shares. [link] [comments] |
Apps with no audio but video works Posted: 29 Aug 2020 04:27 PM PDT I have a Sony 4K TV with newest android updates. I'm having a weird issue where a bunch of apps have no audio or are freezing. It started with Sling TV, no audio. Now it's other apps that have no audio: Spotify, CBS and ABC. YouTube and YT Kids just freeze up. Won't even playback. Netflix, Prime and Disney+ all work perfectly fine. Anyone running into this? I have restarted, force quit apps and even reinstalled. Nothing seems to fix them. [link] [comments] |
Looking for an Android TV with a DVB-S2 Posted: 29 Aug 2020 09:15 AM PDT Hello there. I have been looking to buy an Android TV that will replace my DVB-S2 receiver as well as my aging Chromecast. I looked really hard but i could only find a few unknown brands. And looking at this sub, i noticed that those unknown brands suffer from grainy screens or mediocre quantities. I appreciate any advice, and personal experience is truly appreciated. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Aug 2020 09:09 AM PDT So I just bought a LG OLED CX and bought a Nvidia Shield Pro to go with it. I currently have the Shield Running thourgh my AVR which does 4k passthrough. When I first hooked up the TV I did test the WebOS and when I played content that was DV or HDR the LG would have a little popup saying as such. Now when I use the Nvidia Shield the DV and HDR popups on the TV do not show. The picture still looks amazing though. How do I know if the Shield is truly sending that? Also other question. Do you guys run the Shield through your AVR or go directly to TV and then use eARC? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Aug 2020 11:40 AM PDT Been looking at this for a while now. I have an LG B7 55" Oled TV, that is fed from my Sony AVR, and everything plugs into the AVR, 4k Blu Ray player, PS3, Xboxone, Roku Streaming stick plus. I cut the chord earlier this year so all my content is from Netflix, Amazon Prime, Now TV, Youtube, BBC Iplayer, spotify, Amazon Music and Plex streamed from my Roku and 4K Blu Rays. I'm needing to replace the Roku, because its on the fritz, i think it got too hot and got fried a little. Apple TV 4K at this point seems to be the front runner in terms of it will support all the apps I use and handles proper Dolby vision etc. But its pretty expensive, and as in the title, I can't stand the UI of apple devices or apps. But could live with it. Nvidia shield doesn't support NowTV Firestick & Roku don't seem to support as many formats? John Lewis in the UK are doing the Apple TV 4k 64mb for £199 and you get the two year guarantee, and a year of Apple TV. Any other suggestions I should look at? Or does anyone just use the TV builtin apps? EDIT: Thanks for all the input. I went out and got the Apple TV this morning. All looks great. But my god it took 90 minutes just to sort out and unlock my old Apple accounts! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 29 Aug 2020 10:09 AM PDT Hello, I'm currently using firestick to view my premium channels like showtime and starz through sling app. I'm able to get the TV guide with current movies playing and was wondering if there are android tv devices that integrate the live tv guide instead of having to open app. [link] [comments] |
Removing Apps on home screen Mi Box S Posted: 29 Aug 2020 09:55 AM PDT Is it possible to remove the apps showing on the home screen but not delete the apps from the MI Box? I want to keep the apps I have, but hide them from the top of the home screen except for a few apps. Don't want the rest of the house to have to go thru 40 apps at the top to get to one app. I didn't see anyway to do it without deleting the apps [link] [comments] |
