So, I got banned from the Paradise and Ruins subreddit for bringing their "Give 5 star review and share screenshot for in-game rewards" scheme to light

Is this even allowed? (Paradise and Ruins MMO Discord)

I've got $1525 worth of goodies to give out for my favorite text-based MMORPG: Titan Conquest. Contacted the indiedev to ask if he'd be interested in doing a giveaway. He was, so here goes :)

    Posted: 07 Aug 2020 09:49 AM PDT

Okay, following up from the Infinitode 2 giveaway, here's one for Titan Conquest :) Let me know which dev I should try to contact next?

The giveaway is as simple as it gets; all it takes is leaving a comment in the giveaway thread with your Titan Conquest username: https://www.reddit.com/r/minireview/comments/i5gzta/1525_minireview_x_titan_conquest_giveaway/

The first 100 people receive one of the random prizes (they go from $5 to $100 in value).

Also, huge thanks to the developer for allowing me to persuade him, haha :)

    So, what is Titan Conquest?

In case you don't know Titan Conquest, here's the review I did of it 4 months ago:

"Titan Conquest is a text-based MMORPG for mobile and browsers that I've truly fallen in love with. The game features an insane amount of loot, elaborate stats systems for our character, a very friendly community, huge server-wide boss fights, and actual interesting quests, many of which have been written by community members.

Combat consists of tapping to use one of 3 weapon types (primary, special, and heavy) to deal with a wide variety of creatures across the very large game world. And the more we kill a specific type of creature, the more gold and XP we'll earn from future encounters with that creature type, which can be used to our advantage when grinding.

The game is very social but features no PvP yet, which means the monetization will at most make us progress faster. However, premium currency is also earned for free while fighting monsters or selling items to other players, so the primary reason to buy the iAPs would be to support the solo indie-developer.

This game has got me completely hooked, and despite being text-based has offered me one of the best MMORPG experiences I've ever had on mobile.

For anyone wondering, Brawhalla has crossplay, not crossprogress! (yet)

    Posted: 07 Aug 2020 05:06 AM PDT

For now there is no way to link your Steam or console account and keep the progress on mobile, but devs said it's a planned feature.

    Recommend a City Builder / 4X

    Posted: 07 Aug 2020 05:16 AM PDT

Greetings all! I have been playing "Rise of Empires: Ice and Fire" for a while now, and it's been fun, but I've hit a hard wall where I just can't get any further in the game progression wise without dumping money into it. More than I already have anyway.

Can I get some recommendations for other games in this genre? Something similar, maybe in a Sci-Fi setting? Or a good Space 4X that has multiplayer like RoE. I don't mind spending a few bucks here and there but not a constant flow of cash to keep progressing. Thanks!

    What are android emulators?

    Posted: 07 Aug 2020 11:17 AM PDT

Sorry if this seems like a dumb question. I'm not very big on mobile gaming.

I hear people talking about playing certain mobile games on emulators, but I'm not familiar with them.

Are they safe to use? They let you play mobile games on PC, right?

Any good detective games like Project Void or Vigil Files, where you have to think outside the box/do research on real-life websites to beat the game?

    Posted: 06 Aug 2020 11:19 PM PDT

Project Void is a puzzle game wherein the logic puzzles often require you to do research on real world events. You actually have to browse the web to gather clues to solve the puzzles.

The Vigil Files: Case 1 is also a puzzle/detective game where you solve logic puzzles and will have to not only use real websites, but even proprietary websites created for the game, in order to advance.

I really do love this genre. Anyone know of any games, on Android or elsewhere, that scratch this kinda itch?

Best Games w/ Auto Play Features

    Posted: 07 Aug 2020 08:59 AM PDT

I'm looking for games that have the "Auto" button that goes around killing monsters, farm, etc. Idle games have the same model for all of them. Gacha w/ heros of multiple stars, tiered equipment that goes from grey > green > blue > purple > etc, and a multi level dungeon that provides a buff after killing monsters.

Gamevil used to have a game call Devilian which was great. It was a mobile game that killed monsters, had the typical normal attack button and 5+ skill buttons around it on the bottom right of the playing screen.

Any suggestions? Just not feeling idle games, merge games, or ones that take alot of my attention and time because they aren't auto.

I work full time and do classes and projects during my off time so I can't be fully engaged in a game. I can look at it every so often to press the auto button and basic functions, but exploring worlds and have to constantly press buttons isn't on the list of game features I'm looking for atm.

Best Slots Game for My Mom

    Posted: 07 Aug 2020 08:23 AM PDT

My mom wants to play slots on her tablet but I'm having trouble finding one with simple menus that isn't intentionally confusing and pay to win. The graphics can be a bit rough around the edges and ads are fine. I'll also pay a for a premium slots game if no free games meet this criteria.
