[REQUEST] Most Monster Hunter-ish game out there?

    Posted: 09 Aug 2020 06:42 AM PDT

I just love the Monster Hunter franchise (mostly this "gather materials from different monsters, craft your gear and keep upgrading it" vibe), and I wanted to know: besides playing MHFU on a PSP emulator, what are other games that comes really close to the Monster Hunter mechanics (preferably not P2W, I'd rather then buy the app)?

What are the most unmobile-like offline Android games. Sometimes you hear the term core for the types of games you find on PC and console. In other words games that are complex, nuanced and immersive. Titles that are not nickle and dimeing players with gems and other assorted BS, are high quality and also offline. Could be action-oriented like the mobile GTA games, or RPGs like Beamdog's offerings or strategy like the mobile Total War games. What else is there?

In other words, what are the best core offline Android games?

Any gacha/hero collector games without pay walls and good English translation?

    Posted: 09 Aug 2020 08:06 AM PDT

I really prefer a game developed in English but can't seem to find any. I also feel it's unfair to give players who are willing to run themselves financially a competitive edge. Money shouldn't be a substitute for skill (although in the real world it frequently is).

Anyone would like to recommend me some fun games?

    Posted: 09 Aug 2020 07:43 AM PDT

I'm looking for one that is free and multiplayer.

Edit: I have played COD, PUBG and Mobile Legends but I find them boring now.

Are there any casual 4 player or more cross platform games? Non-FPS

    Posted: 09 Aug 2020 01:10 AM PDT

Between android and iOS. Needs to be free so monopoly and the like is out. Been trying to find something fun that can be played with friends as we're currently in lockdown (Melbourne, Australia) but some friends can't play FPS games as it makes them dizzy.

    Thanks in advance!

Looking for something similar to 'Houseparty' to play with my family during covid lockdown. Suggestions?

    Posted: 09 Aug 2020 12:52 AM PDT

Just had a session playing Houseparty with my family and it was okay, but the app and games was kind of shit.

Are there any better alternatives? Bunch of fun, simple games to play with my 70+ year old parents and sisters?

    Thanks :)

    Snapdragon 765 vs 765g?

    Posted: 08 Aug 2020 07:51 PM PDT

Would the performance between the two have that much of a noticeable difference in gaming? I'm looking at two phones, and I'm trying to make a decision. It's between the Galaxy A71 5G(765g) and the Moto edge(765). I really like the Moto edge, but I was wondering if the $100 difference was worth spending on the Galaxy.

    Forgot a game

    Posted: 08 Aug 2020 11:36 PM PDT

Hi folks. Im trying to remember the name of a game I played at least 4 years ago. Really basic graphics. You control a squad of 3 or 4 soldiers that start on the edges of the map. You have a certain number of dollars to spend on weapons and armour. Each map is a building. You only see stuff that's in your line of site. It's turn based, and one other detail I remember is if a given soldier has action points left when you end your turn, they will automatically fire if an enemy becomes visible to them . Hope someone can recognise the game. Thanks.

Play Pass has been getting many new games lately after a long dry spell. What are some of your favorite Play Pass games?

    Posted: 08 Aug 2020 04:30 PM PDT

Right now I'm trying to get through the Kingdom Rush series.

I am a fan of Play Pass games with a ton of IAPs. Since they are free on Play Pass, you can get all the IAPs and feel like a God. Ruins the difficulty of most games, but it feels great to be so powerful.

    Gainz

    Posted: 08 Aug 2020 03:28 PM PDT

    Gainz

I just release a game called Gainz on Google Play! It's an idle game about doing exercise, i feel especially good because a draw all the sprites, i tried to do the music also but i don't have the ability, but it was really fun to draw all on pixel art. It's started when i was in the gym and on every rep i was like "+1 strength" in my head.
