    To make smart YouTube tv as the default app one needs to uninstall bundled youtube using adb by:

    "adb shell pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.google.android.youtube.tv"

    And now when YouTube is used with Google assistant, one can set the default app.(just disabling the app from settings doesn't work)

    It works like a charm. Hope it helps to everyone out there.

    [Question] How to get a screenshot of what's on the AndroidTV screen remotely?

    Basically, I want to check what's on my AndroidTV screen remotely.

    How can I automate a screen capture and remotely view the image?

    Edit: I may have been unclear, I want to be able to do that when I am not home, to check what is playing on the TV, so it needs to be an app, or a script, that I can run on my LAN or Internet.

    An old but new box

    So I have a nsz-gt1 I use for Netflix and it seems to be out dated but I was thinking what if I can get some APK's for it like some games and stuff (the app store doesn't work)

    Mibox 4k (Indian Version) restarting abruptly

    Hi, my newly bought mi box 4k is restarting abruptly. this happens only on the first start of the day. After the first start, in about 5 minutes the box will restart. After that it works fine for the whole day.

    I replaced it with another thinking it to be a hardware fault , but its the same.

    My Sony TV's Android puts basic Android functions on my Gamepad buttons, making it unusable

    When I connect a gamepad, the OS decides to put stuff like Home Screen, Apps etc. on the buttons. How to prevent that?

    Amazon Prime - No Subtitle Backgrounds

    I have a Sony Android TV and have an issue with the Amazon Prime Video app I was wondering if other users had.

    I cannot get the TV to give a background to any subtitle style. I've tried configuring a custom style but neither the default nor my custom style have the requested transparent black background. Is this just a bug in their android app or is it my TV specifically the app doesn't like?

    Xbox controller

    Hi I have a Nvidia shield tv pro 2019. Using a Xbox one wireless Bluetooth controller. The firmware is up-to-date. I was able to click on the Guide button it would turn on the shield pro. It no longer does this why not? Thank you very much

    Problem in launching movies trailers from Stremio! I use YouTube Vanced, and it's the default YouTube domain player on my phone. I uninstalled regular YouTube. I got this message every time I want to watch any movie trailer, which is, Stremio encountered an error with this media. Any solution?!
