    I couldn't believe it until I see it with my own eyes, HDR is really working with YouTube for Android TV on the Ematic Jetstream and my Samsung 4K TV!, I guess other devices like the Mi Box and Mecool devices are also supported.

    One thing left to check though is if 5.1 audio is working with Android TV devices different than the Nvidia Shield (it has support since last year), when they are connected to an AV receiver with HDMI inputs and multichannel PCM support.

    Can someone with a Mi Box or Jetstream verify if it's working?. Here is a video sample:

    Should I buy an androidtv for gaming?

    This looks like a pretty basic question, however I don't seem to be able to find the answer. My question is, can I buy for example a MI box or whatever, connect a BL gamepad and play regular android games via sideloading that are compatible with gamepads? GTA, for example. Or emulators.

    Android Tv bluetooth paired with my LG Sound Bar, but after TV restarts, it won't auto connect or I cant even press to connect. I can only unpair and repair every time for it to work.

    1.Is there any way that TV auto connects to Sound bar?

    1. Is there any option to lock TV like phones instead of complete powering of TV. I takes lot of time every time to boot up tv.

    Any Hisense H8F users getting prompted for a system update -- which keeps failing?

    Started happening to me a couple days ago. I'll get a message that an update is available, but the second I click "download" I immediately get a new screen saying it failed and to try again. If I click "retry," the same thing happens until I just cancel out of it.

    known Nvidia Shields drawbacks

    Apart from the lack of YouTube and Google Movies HDR (vp9 codec) support, what are the known 2019 Nvidia Shield feature gaps or issues?

    Please feel free to list anything that is missing (e.g. 64 bit app support on the tube version) or things you just don't think it does well (e.g. global auto frame rate switching)

    Tivo stream 4k Android TV tab casting

    Just got the tivo stream 4k...I like it, seems like a good replacement for my first gen Chromecast. However when I try to cast a html 5 video from chrome pc without cast support built in....tivo stream 4k just screen mirrors it instead of casting the video after a few seconds. My first gen will cast these videos after a few seconds of playback. Any ideas if the stream 4k can tab cast html5 vids not designed with official cast support like a standard Chromecast can?

    App to organize and show local USB attached content

    Can someone please suggest an application which can read my local usb hdd, find all content and display its content after fetching it from imdb or something similar?

    From what I understand Plex can only stream from another server. Can Kodi do the same?

    Non-IR remote for Sony Android TV?

    I got a Sony Android TV recently, and would like to get a non-IR remote for it. Are these available anywhere?

    I'd prefer it be something other than a Shield remote, as we have a Shield, and lose it's remote all the time because it's so small.

    Has the Smart YouTube TV app stopped playing videos for anyone else?

    As of yesterday Smart YouTube TV will no longer play videos on either of my Shield TVs. I'm guessing YouTube changed something that doesn't allow videos to load if the ads don't load. Regular YouTube app works fine, though it seems that the amount of ads has increased quite a bit since I switched to Smart YouTube TV.

    I mainly just wanted to confirm that it isn't just me experiencing this. Anyone else?

    Custom Ambilight colors with third party app?

    So I've been using the Philips "The One" TV (55pus7304/12) for a few months now with Androit TV and i love it. The TV is amazing, 4k, HDR+, what ever floats your boat (apart from oled lol).

    To get to the point, the tv uses the Ambilight feature from Philips as it has built in LED stripes at the back of the tv. If the TV is turned off, you can turn on the leds with the remote but only with a handfull of preset colors.

    Sooo since Ambilights are LEDs and is able to produce almost any color you want, i was curious if there's maybe an App for Android TV where you can control and customize the color/brightnes (maybe timer) of the LED stripes.

    So far I havent found anything on the Play Store yet and the Philips customer service was less helpfull.

    UI is blurry

    Just got a Hisense H8G 65' TV. I'm wondering if there is any way to make the Home UI appear in 4K resolution?

    Even the Youtube app UI doesn't display in 4K. Video content will play in 4K, but all menu UIs are blurry. Even the youtube UI running on my original Xbox One is more clear than the one that is built into the TV.

    I'm not interested in any alternative launchers. I would like to create a row just for my news apps for example, is that possible? Is there an app that gives you a "home screen channel" that lets you add a bunch of app shortcuts?

    How do I change DNS settings for wired connection?

    Hey everyone,

    I've got a Sony Bravia TV with AndroidTV built-in.

    I have a Yonder.tv subscription to "mask" my geolocation, so that I can watch NHL and MLB games in my local market. Its always worked great with an AppleTV, trying to get it working now on an AndroidTV.

    Basically, all I need to do is change the DNS settings. I can find where to change the DNS for a wireless connection, but I have a wired connection. I can't figure out how to change the DNS settings for a wired connection.

    Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

    How to open the context menu that some Android apps have?

    I think there's no button for this on my Sony TV remote (correct me if there is), and mouse and keyboard that I physically connected probably can't open it either - unless there is a secret key combination for this. How to open the context menu?

    TCL Live Channels - Logo channels

    I have Live Channels running on 3 separate shield TV connected to 3 TVs, 2 of which being TCL. While the non TCL tv display well all the channel logos, the 2 TCL do not. All 3 shields run Tvirl. Any idea what can be the reason?
