| Is there a way to fix the DS4 latency without Bluetooth Auto Connect with Root? Posted: 19 Jul 2020 07:54 AM PDT I've tried researching and I've gotten nothing. I have root so I'm looking for a way to permanently fix the latency as Bluetooth Auto connect doesn't work. Specs: DualShock 4 LG V35 Android Pie with root [link] [comments] | ||
| [REQUEST] Looking for an RPG to play on my tablet Posted: 19 Jul 2020 01:51 AM PDT Hi guys, I've been following this subreddit for a while but to be honest I've not really spent much time here. I just got myself an S6 lite so I could play games on my PC in another room using Moonlight. But I've been looking through the play store trying to find games to play just on the tablet. There are a few games like Darkest Dungeon and Sunless Sea which I was wanting to play but realised they only have iOS ports which is a shame. The rules say I need to provide at least 3 key points so here goes:
If anyone has any suggestions I'd be happy to hear them, thanks all. [link] [comments] | ||
| What are the current most active online games? Posted: 18 Jul 2020 04:56 PM PDT Preferably good ones, not simply popular ones. My current fav is brawl stars, pretty well polished and fun, there's obviously pubg fortnite and codm, what else has a big community and "feels" like an actual game you'd play a lot [link] [comments] | ||

| changing my approach when it comes to gaming on android Posted: 18 Jul 2020 09:07 PM PDT I was gonna make a super detailed and long post but I'm gonna keep it short 1) I had a very naive way of thinking when it came to playing games on android, I always thought look I have a high end phone and I paid alot of money for it, I should be able to high end console/pc like games but now I believe we are never gonna reach that level, this is android man you gotta keep it on android level 2) all games gonna have some flaws in it, deal it with. Some games gonna have poor graphics, a pay wall, bad controls or couple of bugs here and there but if the game is super fun I gonna give them a chance 3) I am now more focused on games that's well made for android device, think about Nintendo and switch, some of their games don't have super good graphics but their game works well because they're designed well for their switch device, they focused more game play experience and fun value, right now I can ignore any negative points of games if it's made well for android, just give me ok-ok graphics or put price on your game but give me a game which works fine on android. 4) you can't judge a book from its cover and its true for most games on android. So many fucking time I have ask for suggestions here for couples of games and when I check them out, I just look at it and 90% of time I just ignored it moved on to next suggestions without trying out the games ... That's the biggest mistake I made no matter how the games looks on play store you gotta download it and try it for yourself, most of the time I end up liking the game Well if you have similar pattern when it comes to android gaming, hi-5 brother or sisters I know you guys are out there like a ghost [link] [comments] | ||
| Posted: 19 Jul 2020 08:31 AM PDT Hot take: Auto feature is not a bad game design. I start it with my experience playing Evertale and Demon's Blade. I love Evertale. Yea, the gacha is there and the rate is abysmall. But who play games for its gambling feature, right? Oh wait...(look at gacha subreddit). Anyway the main campaign story and the world is pretty interrsting to. Yea, some part are a bit cliché. We have ur usual protagonist, we have the sister, we also have the tsundere. You get the idea. One thing that makes me in love with evertale is its combat system using TU(Time Unit). Unlike in traditional JRPG where player's turn is fixed by their Dex/Spd stats, by playing with TU and it's characters skill, sometimes i can make some nice combo between my characters. One character can use his skill to delay enemies TU, and then my other characters using her skill to reduce his TU to 0 and then he used his skill that amplified the damage to enemies with TU above 200. It's so damn satisfying to pull that off and really interesting to try and mix each characters synergy and such. However, i did get stuck near the end bcs I was underleveled. So, i had to grind. I go to event and things get pretty grindy. That's when I realize something. This game has Auto battle feature all along. I don't remember if the tutorial showing the auto feature. If it did I missed it but I was surprised to see that button up there. This also happen Demon's Blade. My first impression of the game was so good. I like the combat mechanic that rely on reaction time and reading enemy's animation. I was engrossed in the game until it became boring and too grindy. The dungeon become tedious and the combat were pretty easy when I get used to it. And when the game become a chore, i realized there was an auto button all along. So, what is my point of telling all this? After thinking a while, it dawn on me that all the fiasco, all the hate to auto is not really the fault of auto feature. It was only a feature that was made to ease the tedious part of the game, grind. For example, in Arknights you can't use auto until you beat a level with 3 stars. Making the auto more like a system that will copy your movement from your best run. However, this means when you upgrade yoir operator, sometimes the enemy wave can be eliminated faster than before and thus, breaking the auto system which is kinda fun to watch especially if you like bug fixing things. In Guardian Tales the main campaign doesn't have auto feature. Instead, the auto feature is only available in rift, the grind features to get exp, gold, and other essential things. And this is good bcs I don't want to watch and clicking the same monster in the same level for 1 hours straight just to max one characters. That is plain tedious. So with auto, I can throw my phone while they did the grind. And after I maxed my char, i played the main campaign again. See, It was just a feature to solve grindyness in a game. Auto features is not all bad... Until you meet mmorpg. A genre where most of it's game is designed as a grind-fest. Hey, you wanna continue the quest? You need to level up to certain level by grinding. Oh you need a subquest? Why don't you kill hundreds of these monster and get a few rewards. I think the reason why there is auto in MOST of mmorpg game ties with how grindy mmorpg is. The problem is not everyone have time for that ESPECIALLY when the game was not fun and rather, tedious. You think it's fun to stare to phone for hours just to do the most menial and incremental things? My brother literally showed me how he is botting in iruna online and i was baffled when he said he was botting for 7 hours straight only to gain 3 level. Not only that, he actually plays it like... an idle game. He boot the game, set up the bot and leave it. And then comeback just to check how much he gets. Not only how grindy mmorpg is, but sometimes, the level design and the exploration feel of mmorpg is ABYSSMAL. I remember playing a very bad mmorpg where if I didn't turn on the autoquesting feature, i got lost. Now, what is my point in talking all of this. I just want people to realize that there is deeper problem in thinking why MOST of rpg and mmo in android game has auto feature. Good game beats a grind. And when it can beat the grind, the auto should not be really a problem. I mean, how can people spend hundreds of hours into MHW, or how EVE Online has thriving community when it was just a spreadsheet space sim, or how gathering grass in Durango become a very fun experience. Auto feature is not a bad game design. It is a by-product of bad game design. It's unfair to judge a game just bcs it has auto. Rather, judge it if the game is enjoyable without the auto feature turned on. Holy Moly, it turned into a lengthy rant. Sorry if I wasted your time. Feel free to disagree. I actually almost talked about mmorpg game design and idle games, but they are stories for another time. What do you think about auto features after reading this rant? Thanks for reading a piece of my mind. Peace. [link] [comments] | ||
