    How to download the songs?

You can download all of them in one RAR & ZIP file by following this Bandcamp link.

What's the total size of the library and in which format do they come in?

Total file size varies in format. You can download the songs in MP3, FLAC, AAC, OGG, ALAC, WAV and AIFF formats.

What about the license? (CC BY 4.0)

You can use any song in this library in anyway you want, be it as a sound effect in your game or as a background music in one of your Youtube & Twitch videos, even commercially. If you'd like to find more information about the license, please check this creativecommons.org link. Providing an appropriate credit (Either Composed by onemansymphony.bandcamp.com or patreon.com/onemansymphony) is required.

What is the future of this library? How can I support it?

I'm planning to expand this library's content as much as possible, and doing so takes a great amount of time, and calls for new virtual instruments and tools to create songs in rich and different sound. My current goal is to keep adding more songs in different genres into this library as well as creating environmental sound effects in high quality. Also Bandcamp limits the quantity of free downloads so I need to buy more "free download credits" to make the album even more accessible. More information about the subject can be found here. Due to these reasons, I created a Patreon page if you'd like to support this project. By becoming a Patron, you'll get access to the loop files, bonus and alternative songs and sound effects that are not included in the public library hosted on Bandcamp.

Can I remix the songs in the library?

As long as you provide an appropriate credit to the original album, you can do whatever you want to do with them.

    Are these songs loopable?

Almost every single song in the album (with a few exceptions here and there) is loopable. While producing these songs, I always paid extra attention to make them as loopable as possible since some users would like to break a song into seperate pieces and just want to use that specific section of the song in their projects, and some people might like to extend a specific part of the song for adaptive sound design purposes. I am very well aware of that modern video games call for an application of adaptive sound design. A song which is made of different sections should be easily loopable & cuttable and any section of the song should be easily extandable. And whenever a transition occurs, it should sound as smooth as possible. These were the things that I kept in my mind while composing these pieces. If you'd like to create your own loop files out of these songs, you can use a free software such as Audacity to do so and refer to its manual to learn more about how looping is done. If you don't want to spend your time with the process of looping, you can subscribe to my $1 tier on Patreon where you can get access to the loop files of the songs in the library.

    Is this album updated regularly?

Yes! Whenever I add a new song or sound effect to the library, I announce it on my Twitter. I would suggest checking the tweets or the album page regularly if you're in need of new music frequently.

Feel free to ask if you guys have any questions.

EU regulations now require app stores to provide 30-day notice and clear reasoning before removing apps

Got app rejection this month saying just 2 words as a clue of what's wrong

    Posted: 15 Jul 2020 02:09 AM PDT

This month I got an app rejection that :

For this spare time app, I got a letter talking about "Metadata policy" and that there is an issue with "Disclaimer / Disclaimer:" :

    https://i.imgur.com/AD8YIs1.png

The only thing I updated for the app was targeting API 30 (Android 11), so it was weird for me and I kept asking what's wrong with the disclaimer, as I was told before that I should add it. Not only that, but I didn't change anything about strings for quite a while.

Since the main language of the app is in English, I was sure it's some issue with it. Especially when the email writes only in English.

After sending an appeal, requesting to understand what's wrong, it turns out that one of the translators (Vietnamese) showed both his translation and the English one for this word (in the app description), meaning : "Disclaimer/sanggahan:" .

Why is it an issue? Because it was detected by Google as "excessive keywords" :

Please remove excessive keywords from all translations of your store listing.

    https://i.imgur.com/AH3kLfH.png

I don't understand how could the word "disclaimer" be a keyword that could be abusing the system. I also don't understand how I could have understood all of this by the first letter, especially when it's written in English...

Anyway, I removed the English one from there, and now all is fine again...

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Non Dev here with a question. What is the best way to present your app ideas/requirements to developers? Is there a preferred format? I'm guessing scribbles on napkins and/or matchbooks doesn't cut it.

I need an app built for my business which has a specific use and requirements. I want to present it as clearly as possible to make everyone's life easier, any suggestions would be appreciated!

Is it legal to make gaming guides?

    Posted: 15 Jul 2020 07:17 AM PDT

I found an app for a gaming guide for this one game I am playing. It costs $1 which isn't a lot of money but they don't own the rights to the game so is this even legal? I've also seen game guide apps in the past that are free but the developer was getting money through ads. is this legal?

I got banned on APP on my phone, but it knows MY other DEVICES without the same gmail?!

    Posted: 15 Jul 2020 07:03 AM PDT

Ok, Story short. I was using a dating app, Taimi and it was supposed to be used to promote my IG meme page. I got banned for that reason for promoting social media accounts etc..... I let it go and decided to forget about it.

Then I realized I had a spare android phone (s8) laying around and I thought let me try if I can make another account. I used different emails etc of course so no way they can link back to a whole new phone and surely it can't be traced. Guess what? was unable to make an account because it said I was banned when the app was not downloaded under that Gmail account.

Now I was really curious. I borrowed my sister's iPad and thought no shit let me make an account and used that login to sign in my old device, surely that will work and I can delete the app afterward. I downloaded the app, tried to make an account and it says banned. wow. Now I'm really curious and shocked.

I'm aware apple has UDID and Android has its device ID but how the hell does it know. If anyone has any insight, do let me know -_-

How do you generate different Reports and prepare data for Analytics on your app?

    Posted: 15 Jul 2020 06:46 AM PDT

    Hey guys,
I'm a developer for an ETL product. I am going to be developing a Google Play Console source, meaning you can pull in various reports about your app to a warehouse of your choice.
I don't have an android app hosted of my own, so naturally, developing an ETL source would be challenging. So some app-related data could help me out here.

There's a lot in it for you ;)
-> I can get your data loaded into a warehouse of your choice for free for some time. ;)
BTW. There is only one (I found only one) product out there right now that loads your google play data to warehouses.
-> If you are interested, you could be close to the development process from the start. App devs/owners like you are the end-users eventually anyway.
-> We could share insights on how the data structured in your warehouse will help contribute to preparing some kickass analytics, which is your and an ETL product's eventual goal.

Please DM me if interested and we can discuss this in detail. (:

Should I use Android Studio for serious App Development in Kotlin, or is IntelliJ good enough?

    Posted: 15 Jul 2020 04:51 AM PDT

I've been trying to get into Android App Development recently, and since Kotlin is supposedly the future of the OS, I've been going through Big Nerd Ranch's Kotlin Book on it. The book itself focuses more on Kotlin as a language than the process of app-building itself, so the fact that it uses IntelliJ to do so doesn't give me the utmost confidence to continue with the IDE without question after the book.

As far as I understand, AS is catered for app development, whereas IntelliJ is just general Java/Android programming, with the potential to be made for app development with enough workaround and installments.

But I've also heard that AS can slow down your computer quite a bit, as well. I haven't really heard these complaints about IntelliJ, so I guess there's a tradeoff?

Since I'm early in the Android Dev game, I figured I should pick the best road in the beginning, rather than hopping back and forth every year.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

What's the best way to host a web app that runs on client side and port it to android app?

    Posted: 15 Jul 2020 03:05 AM PDT

Hello! I made a web app in babylon.js that runs only on client side once loaded but I still have to host it somewhere and then I want to port it to an Android app. I heard that using webview should be enough but I'm not well documented enough and I wanted to hear some opinions. What's the best approach?

Android Studio not showing warnings for code that can be optimized.

    Posted: 15 Jul 2020 12:56 AM PDT

I write this after having used Intellij's Rider for C# recently which shows a lot of code optimization warnings. I find that Android Studio rarely shows me warnings when there is obvious code optimization possible.

For eg: I wrote this using Kotlin

     isSunday?.let { if (it) { parentActivity.time.isAfternoon?.let { it1 -> //Do something } } }

This code can be written as

     if (isSunday == true && parentActivity.time.isAfternoon != null) { //Do something }

But Android Studio doesn't show any warning or option to fix this. Am I expecting too much from Android Studio or am I missing some setting etc which can help me spot such code and fix it easily? Thanks!!

I am so sick of the time I lose to Android Studio bugs.

    Posted: 14 Jul 2020 05:07 PM PDT

I have to press run and debug twice sometimes to get the app to start.

Android Studio randomly chooses to wait for the debugger on run.

The IDE quit showing hover docs despite the options to show them being checked and the docs being installed.

The layout manager won't let me auto update and keep views from the past activities showing.

Android Studio is worse than Eclipse and Visual Studio.

    Very weird fake reviews

    Posted: 14 Jul 2020 02:39 PM PDT

I just got 7 reviews (5 of them at the same exact moment), almost all mentioning the need of adding online play. They gave either 4 or 5 stars and were from Arabic speaking countries. They seem to be bots, but why would they post it on my unknown game? I didn't pay for them in any way or anything, and it's really strange to me. Did anyone have that kind of a situation before?
