I have tried cleaning the charger and the phone's port with no succes, also changing the charger, but it still would only charge from the laptop. There isn't anything visibily wrong with the port or any of the chargers. I did charge my phone on an outlet that is a bit broken and it might have accidently given it too much power and fried the charging port... so maybe that's the reason but I don't really think so since it still charges from the laptop Edit: I am pretty sure it is the adapter I thank you all for helping me, I don't think I would have figured it out on my own and would have probably sent it back. | Strange giggling sound coming from Galaxy S10+ Posted: 25 Jun 2020 11:18 AM PDT Like the topic says, I've heard a faint giggling sound coming from my S10+ a couple times today. It happened once while I was briefly on the Tumblr app and again I believe while I was on Chrome. There was no indication from the notification bar indicating which app it could have potentially come from and it only lasted a second or two, so I didn't have the time to screen record it. I tried researching the potential cause of this and found a small handful of similar posts from the past decade but no real diagnosis of the problem or solution to it. I don't do any shady browsing on my phone and the only apps I have that didn't come from the Play Store are Tachiyomi and Blokada. I've run scans from both Avast and Malwarebytes and neither have found anything. What should I do? Do I just need to do a factory reset or can that be avoided? If I have to reset the phone, do I have to leave behind all the files and images currently on it? [link] [comments] |

I noticed that it doesn't show in my android phone (Huawei p20) call log. I wondered if there is a different way to view the call in my phone so that I can get a gist of how long the call was- how long the seizure lasted, as I've been told this is important information. I've checked multiple times - I've deleted search data and history in both Samsung Internet AND Google inside samsung internet (but it's empty anyway since it's paused). Despite this, EVERY SEARCH is saved. When I highlight the search bar the searches, in chronological order is listed. What the.... F? What is this? Posted: 25 Jun 2020 11:37 AM PDT I joined a public album that is just a big mix of stock wallpapers from basically every new phone the past several years, however I would like to only be able to see those from within that actual album if possible. For example my Memories show me old pictures from it, and when I scroll through my stuff they're all mixed in with my own photos. Is there any way to separate them without leaving the album? | Neutab N7s Pro stuck on logo screen at startup Posted: 24 Jun 2020 11:22 PM PDT The tablet won't go past the "neutab" screen after turning on. It runs off android 4.4 KitKat. When attached to my computer it in Device Manager under Universal Serial Bus Drives. I have already gone into developer mode and wipe data/factory reset and wipe cache partition. But some are wierdly not adapted to fit my screen and i cant reach some buttons and options. So is there anything i can do to fix it ? Note : i suck at anything regarding phone tech so if its about going into root to fix it or change it then say it and ill just give up the idea , the best would be an app but i cant find any doing this. | Airpods super quiet on android Posted: 25 Jun 2020 11:05 AM PDT My airpods are extremely quiet on android, I've already tried most of the standered things like disabling absolute volume, resetting them, and repairing them. I don't have the option for Media Volume Sync even though im on Android 10. I've already tried a volume booster and it distorted the audio. Posted: 25 Jun 2020 06:10 AM PDT Yesterday while hiking, going in and out of cell service, occasionally sending some images of my hike to group texts, I found they weren't sending. I kept getting "retry sending" after it appreciated to send the messages. Text messages to groups stopped sending too. Rebooted, toggled network settings, cleared data on Android messages, etc. Nothing fixed it. My wife's phone has the same issue. After clearing data, I get the message, "messaging with______is not available right now" in group texts. My wife still gets, "retry sending".... I guess that's beta software for you.... | Unwanted Suggestions in Settings - How do I get rid of them? Posted: 25 Jun 2020 09:53 AM PDT As the title suggests. Recently got a new Android10 phone, and now I've got these annoying suggestions that take up far too much of the screen every time I open settings. I cannot find a way to disable them, any help? This is what they look like. I also have a notification pop up on specific apps (so far, only Netvue) that states "Netvue is Running".. no shit, I just launched the app. Any way to get rid of this notification? I've checked the app's specific notification settings and there's only 1 notification category. Being that it's my home camera and I want notifications from the motion sensor, I don't want to disable all notifications. This is what it looks like. On the note of notifications - I'm finding notifications from some apps are coming in much slower than I should be receiving them. To note are my emails (I use BlueMail) and I'm not getting Netvue notifications despite them being on. To note, I am using a Motorola Hyper One. May 2020 security update. I was recently given a S6, and told to restart it because the owner's kid put a PIN on it and forget what it was. However, I can't even do that since, when I hold the power button, I'm not given the option to turn off the phone so I can go to the factory reset screen. When I turn it on, I'm out on a screen with the time, a background, and "Slide to unlock" at the bottom, with no notification, and when I swipe I'm put at the enter passkey screen. Any advice? | iOS emojis not working in some apps Posted: 25 Jun 2020 09:28 AM PDT With a recent Gboard update, I was able to use iOS emojis in all apps. Although I was able to see them in my Gboard type and send them, I couldn't see the iOS emojis. It would appear as a question mark in a box. Now, in Snapchat, there's no iOS emojis in my Gboard but they are still there in messages and when someone sends an emoji to me in messages, I can see it as it is and not as a question mark. I first I thought it was my password keeper app, Lastpass, but after disabling the Autofill feature on this app, and restarting my phone, it still only says "Autofill". Anyy suggestions? | External 4g Attena for modern Android phone? Posted: 25 Jun 2020 09:09 AM PDT Has anyone here actually seen success attaching or modifying external attena on Android phones? The reason I ask is 4g modems, hotspots, and routers are either expensive, cumbersome, or require plug in power sources. It seems to me that an android phone with an external attena array which could be strung from, let's say, a tree would be an ideal setup for moderate length remote operation. It could act as the sole device, or share WiFi with other devices. Very versatile. Is there some secret or rarely discussed reason why external attena are rarely attached to phones in the diy sphere? | Xiaomi Mi Note 10 vs Realme X2 Pro Posted: 25 Jun 2020 08:16 AM PDT Hi everyone, I'm looking at a new android phone for under $600 CAD. I've narrowed it down to the Xiaomi Note 10 and the Realme X2 Pro. They are both the exact same price where I live. I'm pretty torn between them because the Xiaomi has better cameras (but how much better??), but the Realme has better performance and a 90hz display. If anybody owns either of these phones, I'd love to hear your experiences with them. I don't do much gaming, but I'm hoping to keep my phone for at least 2-3 years. I don't play graphically intensive games on my phone, so I don't really care if I get Ultra settings. I'm just not sure whether or not the 730G is fast enough for normal use. I checked and both phones support all bands of the network that I'd be using. So, which of these phones is the better buy? I really want better cameras, but 90hz and an 855 seems tempting. Thanks! I had assumed my contacts would be perfectly synced in my gmail. Evidently not. I have a couple close friends who I made over the last year whose email addresses exist in gmail but there's no phone number attached. Why would that be?!! There's also a couple girls from tinder etc who I have saved in my phone but I've never emailed. I'm finding some of their numbers but a lot are missing. Are these gone for good?
