(also on dark mode FWIW) The settings for my social media apps are set to high priority (banner, sound, vibration, show on lock screen). Furthermore, I also set them to "run in background" so I won't miss important notifications. Under this setup, will I still get the notifications? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 23 Apr 2020 02:55 AM PDT I'm considering purchasing a rather cheap (but in good condition) Samsung Galaxy S7 from my mate (£30, in the UK) - I'm not an Android user at all (pretty much stuck to older Nokia non-Android handsets in the past) but was wondering if it was still a viable handset to use if a third party custom ROM was installed onto it. Basically all I need from it is the ability to access my GMail account on the go for job hunting (along with the stored contacts I have in it), access to Google Maps along with Internet Browsing (to be done via WiFi only, as my SIM has limited Data) - any input would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to deposit a check with the Bank of America android app using bluestack. I don't have a smartphone. I need to take a photo of the front and back of the check. I need to import or upload the photos to that screen and there isn't an option to do that. Is there any way to do it? | Posted: 23 Apr 2020 12:01 PM PDT Hey everyone, Recently I've bought OnePlus 7T Pro and I don't want to install edXposed since it became a lot of hassle for SafetyNet and Snapchat but I want to use one module : InstaPrefs. Now, I've seen there's TaiChi which is friendly with Snapchat and SafetyNet but since it's closed sourced I'm staying out of it for now. But then again, from the same developer there's an framework, or basically an app called VirtualXposed but it's open source and it doesn't require root (even though I have it). My question is : Does anyone actually use VirtualXposed and what's your take on it? Do you think it's legit and not malware like Virustotal claims? Posted: 22 Apr 2020 04:16 PM PDT I've been rooting my phones for a couple of years now, but I've just found out there's something called a Nandroid backup which could have saved me a bunch of trouble in the past, I have a rooted Xperia XZ and I'm planning to test out AOSP10 and a Nandroid backup could help if AOSP10 is buggy and wanted to go back to my old Android 8. Posted: 23 Apr 2020 10:52 AM PDT I accidentally turned it off when it asked me for terms and conditions and I didn't know that it was visual voicemail it was asking about. I've googled everything and followed all steps, searched my phone's settings for 'visual' and 'voicemail' and cannot find anything. There is no voicemail icon on my phone app anymore and it seems as if the word 'voicemail' has literally been erased from the phone. | Headphones not compatible after 4 months use? Posted: 23 Apr 2020 10:45 AM PDT I have been using the same headphone set for 4 months now. The same brand since I got my phone, Jlab. But suddenly, the phone just doesn't recognize my headphones anymore! Everytime I plug in my headphones, they just aren't recognized and the audio continues to play through the speaker. This is strange, because all my other 3/2 ring headphones work fine. I managed to get it playing through my Jlab headphones for a bit, but then when I tried to turn my phone off it stopped. This is my second pair of Jlabs this has happened with. I wouldn't be surprised if this was my first time plugging them in and they didn't work, but they just all the sudden stopped working after 4 months of use. Help? It's also worth mentioning that the headphones work absolutely fine on my fiance's phone, an LG g5 thinq (it's either g5, 6 or 7) [link] [comments] |

Posted: 23 Apr 2020 10:39 AM PDT Whenever there is a combination of numbers regarding some pattern, my phone (OnePlus 7 Pro) decides its best to highlight it as a phone number, so that when you tap it, it opens up the phone app with the number ready to be called. This happens everywhere (Notes, Telegram, Whatsapp, Outlook, etc) and the pattern detection is so bad, numbers such as "(34", "1-34", "1.4.34") are detected as phone numbers. I realized that even after changing the display and font settings on my phone, and even in some apps, the font on many apps were still too small for me to read. I before I reset my phone, I didn't do anything in particular to the text sizes on my phone either. My guess is that because I reset my phone, it updated to a newer version of android, resulting in some presets that I was use to being changed. Additionally, android could have recognised my phone display to be much larger than it actually is. Could someone confirm this for me? On a side note, how do I actually change the font for apps like Chrome and Telegram? I've tried both accessibility settings on my phone and in the app, but both don't seem to be working. I recently got a very laggy Alcatel one touch pixi 3 (8) model 8070, done backup, clean reset and its much better now but I cant access settings (they freeze and are stuck on white) Im pretty sure this was also the case before reset. | Posted: 23 Apr 2020 08:38 AM PDT I have installed the RU Installer playstore app. My phone is rooted. I have deleted my android settings and accidently deleted the Google Play services. I'm not able to enable any of the disabled apps on the RU installer app. I dont have chrome, or any browser on the phone. MY google playstore is unresponsive and not functioning and I'm signed out as Google play is disabled Is there any way I can either reinstall the apps i disabled from the RU install app, or else another option is to use an apk and send it to myself on whatsapp, this option would work but the problem is that I'm not able to install anything as the setting says you "are not allowed to install apps from unknown sources" I cant go to settings to change this because my settings are deleted o disabled. Is there any way I can bypass this? Can you please guide me how to get back my google play services?? Or guide me to someone or some website or subreddit that can help?? [link] [comments] |
