    The most common use-case is for sending notifications from a home-automation solution to your Android TV.

    As shown on YouTube

    Some example scenarios:

    • Show a snapshot of your camera on your TV (motion trigger)
    • Display a notification with the video of your camera when someone is at your door
    • Send a text notification when your dryer/washingmachine is ready

    No internet connection is necessary and no advertising is contained.

    Without a client application or a home-automation solutions which has an integration for PiPup this application will not be of any use.

    Android TV box with HQ audio/effects/equalizer

    As per title, I am using nice pair of active speakers with subwoofer but they are lacking some fine tuning controls like treble or bass.

    My MiBox is connected to it and sound is just pure shit. I have tried with many equalizers from the store but I am not satisfied how they work.

    Just for the test I have plugged in my LG V40 and sound was incredible thanks to LG's HQ DAC and effects.

    Is there a box with native good sound quality around for my active speakers setup?

    Hi,

    I just bought Mi Box S from Walmart for $30. I'm having Wi-fi issues. When I stream from Prime Video or Disney+ (so far I've only tried it on these two) the wifi just turns off. I have to use the remote to manually turn the wi-fi back on and go back to streaming. Does anyone know how to fix tihs?

    Edit: Looks like switching to 5G band on my wifi seems to have fixed the issue. Will keep you posted.

    Any app or way to automate a Chromecast request into launching the respective app?

    nvidia shield? Amazon Prime Video? No show.

    Howdy,

    Running Simple box Launcher on my nvidia shield (loving it)

    I have all my sideloaded apps showing up, however I cant see my amazon prime video app? uninstalled and reinstalled, no visibility, I can open it vias voice command but SimpleBoxLauncher wont show.

    any advice?

    Windows Cast to Device not working after latest major androidTV update

    I have a Sony Bravia and after the latest update I can't seem to cast local video files from my windows laptop to my tv anymore. Anyone running into the same issue?

    YouTube force close please help

    I have been using Android TV for awhile now, was using a matricom g box for years before I got myself the Nvidia shield and I'm totally good with that now. But I'm looking for something for my cousin now so I don't know what to get but I know the shield is just unnecessary for him. He would only be using it for cyberflix and IPTV. Maybe Netflix but 4k streaming is not a big deal. What are some good boxes out now under 100$
