Philips the One 7354 Ramapping useless buttons? + casting Posted: 27 Feb 2020 12:08 AM PST Hi! Got a Philips 7354 The One Android TV last december and have so far been thoroughly enjoying it. Features are great and ambilight is a nice surprise. However, I can't help but notice the RakutenTv and Philips TV buttons that I'm not gonna use, probably ever. Was wondering if I could remap them to things like YouTube, which would be way more useful. Also, I'm having trouble casting to the TV, from an android phone mind you. I can cast to another Chromecast no problem but casting to this TV proves quite... erratic. I've done it already but the cast icon appears once in a blue moon. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! Is this the correct Gadget that's good? Xiaomi Mi Box S 4k HDR (link inside) Posted: 26 Feb 2020 05:10 PM PST Is this the right one? The one that is actually AndroidTV powered, Netflix HD certified, Prime Video certified, all the good things? Finally on sale again... https://www.walmart.com/ip/Xiaomi-Mi-Box-S-4K-HDR-Android-TV-with-Google-Assistant-Remote-Streaming-Media-Player/677842593 [link] [comments]

Openvpn allowed apps not selectable in Philips android tv 43PUS6412 Posted: 26 Feb 2020 11:04 PM PST Hi all, I am having issues with the OpenVPN for Android app on my Philips 43PUS6412. The tv is running Android tv 8.0.0. Till a couple of days ago, I could easily set up my ExpressVPN connection and select which app to exclude from it via split tunneling. After updating the app, it is impossible for me to select any app anymore in the allowed app list(checkboxes will not be ticked). I thought it was due to the latest update, so I restored the previous version of the app, with no luck, the issue is still there. Does anyone know what the possible solution could be? I use OpenVPN client instead of express vpn client because the express vpn app does not show all the apps installed on the tv in its Split tunneling app list. Thanks. [link] [comments]
Mi Box 3 does not detect Windows hotspots Posted: 26 Feb 2020 02:45 PM PST Hello I just bought a Mi Box 3 and to my big surprise it does not support connections from a windows wifi hotspot! It won't even detect and show the hotspot name while all my other devices (phones, Samsung smart tv !) connect just fine. The box seems to only accept Hotspots from mobile phones. I had a live chat with xiaomi support about this and the person confirmed it to me saying that it was a compatiblity issue!!! Does this sound right or xiaomi support just wanted to get rid of me? Because the fact that the box doesn't support windows Hotspots is insane! [link] [comments]
