Mibox S and Sony WH-1000xm3 connection issue

    Posted: 22 Jan 2020 08:03 AM PST

    Hi all.

I just bought a Sony WH-1000xm3 and thought it would be a perfect compliment to my Mibox. But turns out, my Mibox can't detect the headphone. It can detect my xiaomi bluetooth speaker just fine.

I been digging a bit and found some people with different headphones with the same issue, and some people with no issue at all.

    Any help? Thanks in advance.

Mibox S 4k tips and trix and one remain problem.

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 03:15 PM PST

    Hi!

So, I got a mibox a week ago and I must say after some tweaking it works really well.

The first thing that annoyed me was the fact that if you shut the box down with the remote or with Google home I you can't cast to it any more.

My fix was to side load an awesome app called wake lock revamped, with that I made the cpu and WiFi never to go to sleep which solved the problem. I can now turn it off and its still avaliable for casting and voice commands.

I had some troubles with the WiFi dropping which I solved with setting static ip and turning off turning off WiFi energy saving in the developer settings.

My only issue left is that I can't get Google home to cast netflix. I get the " sure, playing witcher from netflix on your tv" but nothing else happens. YouTube and other apps work great, it just netflix that's acting up.

Is there any one who have an idea on what I could try?

Edit: my best tip for side loading apps is to use an app called "Send files to tv" it's free, light and easy to use. You of course need a file manger on the android tv box but there is plenty to choose from.

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 06:03 PM PST

I updated my MiBox to 9, now Prime Video is by default a system apk, however now it doesn't work. I updated to 5020 very, still no luck. Also on my Hisense TV the same thing. Does anyone have Prime working on OS 9?

Harmony Hub & Alexa + Live Channels app

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 05:51 PM PST

Is there a way to use the Harmony Alexa skill to change channels by voice on Live Channels?

I have a Sony 1080P 65" Android TV with Live Channels as my default tuner. I'd like to be able to tune channels up/down or by "Channel 457" etc. Is this possible?

I'm also considering the Nvidia Shield 2019, are there any Alexa or Harmony controls for that?

    Mi Box S+YouTubeTV+Android 9 = Jitters

    Posted: 21 Jan 2020 08:36 PM PST

Title says it all. Does anyone have any trouble shooting suggestions? I've already factory reset the box...so I'm working clean. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Edit: jitters occur in playback. It's intermittently choppy and just looks...not smooth.
