My Top 9 Games of 2019 That You Can Play On BOTH PC and Android! Posted: 03 Jan 2020 11:31 AM PST Something I've been doing lately when it comes to games is trying to find a nice core set of games that I really enjoy (preferably one per genre) that has either complete cross-play with PC or at least exists on both. The games are in reverse order, with my favorite being at the bottom. MMM3 is listed so high because I just recently got into it, so I'm yet to see if it has any real problems. That said, I'd probably situate it in the top 3 otherwise! Without wasting your time, here is my list!
In MMM3 you manage a team of racers as you work to build cars, hire and train drivers, and win races. So this one is at the bottom of the list because it isn't exactly a one-to-one for the PC version of the game. On the PC you have the much more mechanically complex Motorsport Manager. The mobile version is a lot more slimmed down, but I don't see this as a negative. Comparing the two, I don't think I personally would want the same level of complexity on my phone; I like the differences because it allows me to pick-up and play the one on my phone, while I can still sit down and enjoy the one on PC. Neither game feels shallow in my opinion.
This is one of the newer games on the list, and it's still in development. That said, it's pretty nice. It's mostly a simple sandbox game. I'd say it's most comparable to an ant farm that you just get started and then watch it grow.
Sproggiwood is a mostly mechanically traditiaonl RogueLike in terms of gameplay. The exceptions would be that it has a fair amount of meta-progression. That said, each level still starts at level 0 you just unlock different starting equipment. There are plent of deeper RogueLikes you could pick instead, like Pathos, DSCC, C:DDA, HyperRogue (which was basically tied with Sproggiwood for this spot), or everyone's favorite Pixel Dungeon. That said, Sproggiwood has a nice pick-up and play element to it and a lot of charm which is why I chose to put it here instead.
Evergarden is a puzzle game that plays similarly to 2048, but I think it's more complex than that. You combine flowers and eventually discover some slightly more complex mechanics, but I don't really want to spoil that. There are also power-ups and I think this is a fun game to high-score chase in. Bonus: It also has a cute little story, though some may find it pretentious as it's somewhat artsy!
This one has been around a long time. The Quest is a first person grid based RPG. Think Legend of Grimrock, or older games like Might and Magic. The game is real time (with a weather system and day and night cycle), until you get into combat at which point it becomes turn based. Is it a lot more mobile oriented than PC oriented? For sure, it originated in 2006 for PDAs. Are redone HD hand drawn graphics really cool to look at either way though? Absolutely! It's also surprisingly deep, though not as deep as something like Grimrock in my opinion.
In Siralim you basically collect monsters and travel down endless, randomly generated floors fighting other monsters (think old-school RogueLike for the floors and early RPGs for the battles), and working out the best way to improve your team. Mechanically it's a lot more complex than you'd think at first glance, and unless you actually put in effort you'll start losing pretty quickly. Siralim is cool. It's been around for a good while and the Dev seems like a really nice guy, constantly improving his games or working on the next in the series. This game also has a decent amount of ease of access features, like setting up macros for your party or being able to hold down the button and auto-battle until you run into an issue.
Gladiabots is really interesting. I compare Gladiabots to Rocket League when I'm describing it to people, but it's probably not a great comparison. What you do is program a small team of combat robots using drag and drop programming nodes. You then go up against another programmed team of robots in one of three game modes (collect the resources, king of the hill, destroy the other team), and whoever has the better programming wins. You never actually control anything in the match, which makes this really good for asynchronous multiplayer.
In Cultist Simulator you gather cards and combine them (along with timers) to delve further into madness and form a cult (or play a detective), all while trying to actually learn how to play the game. Cultist Simulator is weird. To me it feels like Solitaire but with a lot of extra stress. You have timers ticking down, cards that will cause you trouble if you can't figure out how to get rid of them, and a lot of confusing mechanics. That's somewhat the point though. This is a game that's meant to be played to figure it out, and that can be frustrating depending on the type of gamer you are. Think of it as a puzzle game, to a degree.
In Bad North you control up to four (per island) troops as you move through randomly generated islands and defending them from invading vikings. In terms of game progression, the rounds are short enough that they really allow you to pick up and play, especially on mobile. The game is also simple enough that you don't feel like you sacrifice anything at all playing on mobile. Bad North is probably one of my favorite RTS games of all time. Despite looking very simple I think it has some pretty deep and unique mechanics. It has great sound design, and it also looks beautiful no matter what you play it on. [link] [comments]

Does anyone know this game similar to zenonia/inotia? Its a old game that holds dear memories to me Posted: 03 Jan 2020 06:39 AM PST This game was a game that i used to watch my dad play about 8 to 10 years ago which got me really into the whole rpg type of games but i forgot the title of the game now that i want to play it again so i thought maybe someone here whos played such games as long as myself will be able to identify it. This game is pretty old and may have been removed from the play store because i cant find it in my google play library (or i could have been using a different google play acc then i think) Its an rpg (i think thats what you call zenonia/inotia type of games right) with a more western touch rather than japanese. The first character (Out of 4 or 5 i think. One of them is a wizard i remember) is a male that looks likes hes in his 40s and had a large sword. His class likened to that of a warrior or berserker. After maxing out one of his skill for his basic attack, every basic attack is empowered and has kind of a stronger animation as well (ok this is kind of vague). This is prob the earliest skill you can max out if im not wrong Ok so what i remember about the world itself. The base is known as "stronghold". Im not sure ig thats the name of it or part of the name but when navigating around the game will show you the directions to "stronghold" in reference to the base. I'll just call the base stronghold from now The last "room" (its an open plain or the sorts. Not an enclosed room. Yall know what i mean) before the stronghold always has green snakes. These snakes drop something brown that has indents like those on a waffle which i think is its skin(?). So snake skin or smt. I remember there is a quest to hunt for these skins near the start of the game. They only drop on killing this snake. Another quest i remember is to scare away black bird sitting on crosses by hitting the cross until the birds fly away. This cross can be found in alot of places and is also found in the room right before the stronghold as well. Hitting the cross does not destroy it but after a few hits the birds will fly away. A red hp potion may or may not drop after the birds fly away. Thats pretty much all i can remember. I hope someone knows this game because it is really something i hold dear to me and would love to play it again even if i had to download from another source Edit: found it! Its called exitium: saviors of vardonia ! anyone knows why it isnt it in the playstore anymore? [link] [comments]

[Request] Match Three games with a twist Posted: 03 Jan 2020 09:17 AM PST I was wondering if anyone encountered games with match-three mechanics which would be modified in some weird/unique way. Like e.g. a match-three where you have a timer to do the match. Or the number of moves is limited. Or some additional mechanics are built on top of it, which makes the whole game much more complicated and tactical (like in match-three you can gather resources which you can use for e.g. crafting or some other thing). Oh! And I don't mean those match-three titles where you create a match to kill/damage a monster (I think there's quite a lot of those). I did play Crunch Time https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.strawdogstudios.simonscatcrunchtime and quite liked it. Also, this was quite nice https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.turbochilli.gks - though it is a monster-killing game (just because I played this one, I don't need any other one :) ). Posted: 03 Jan 2020 11:29 AM PST Hello. I've been playing recently monster legends, dragon story and MonsterML. I really enjoy those games but all the hatching, breeding and upgrading takes way too much time. I've searched if I could skip all that waiting with game guardian but everything gets saved on servers. So I'm asking if there are any similar type of games that are modded (best mod would be the one that skips waiting so that would be gems or game guardian speedhack) so I could enjoy the game without waiting for upgrades to finish and getting bored of the game and uninstalling it eventually...
