My mobile gaming experience over the years Posted: 27 Jan 2020 07:42 AM PST I feel like I have spent more time on the Google Play searching for games than actual game play. [link] [comments]

[Request]Educational game to match numbers for preschool children Posted: 27 Jan 2020 05:19 AM PST My little daughter has troubles with numbers (it took her forever to count up to 3 when she was 4, and now that she has turned 5, she still needs to count how many fingers she has on one hand to tell her age). Attempts to teach her myself have been met by fierce resistance, so I was thinking that a game might encounter less opposition from her side. Most of the apps that I have seen for small kids seem to focus on teaching them to recognize digits, but I am looking for one that would make her pair items of similar quantities instead (ie 5 ducks with 5 eggs, 3 shoes with 3 socks...). A memory/concentration game with this principle would be ideal. Which app would you recommend me? Being able to add small quantities would be a plus (ie matching 3 ducks + 2 chickens with 5 pigeons). [INDIE GAME REVIEW + GIVEAWAY] BU Dungeong DUO. A nice premium platformer with some indie flaws. Posted: 27 Jan 2020 08:56 AM PST Hi everyone! I review under-the-radar mobile games as a hobby. It's a fun thing and I believe it is cool to give some small indie devs a bit of coverage if this is possible. This time I've played a nice premium indie puzzle/platformer called BU Dungeon Duo. It is a small little game about a Wizard and their ghost companion which follows around and interacts with the environment. The gameplay is mostly built about that thing. You can learn more about the game in my video review here: The game isn't perfect in terms of tech and usability but it has got a few interesting design decisions that create interesting game situations. Dungeon Duo is a pretty short game and will last somewhere around an hour of play. But that it is just enough to enjoy all this game has to offer and it is something which I miss in newer games sometimes. Also, the game is playable offline. Now, to the most painful part. The game is a premium one and it did cost around 1 USD when I've checked it last time. I've got Dungeon Duo for free and would recommend buying it only if you are a big fan of puzzle platformers and you want to support small developers while having somewhat unique (and a bit glitchy experience). --------------------------------------------------------------------- THE GIVEAWAY PART: I've managed to contact the dev and I was provided with a few keys, so some people might try BU Dungeon Duo for free if they are lucky (and have some time to do that :D). You will find those keys in a pinned comment under my YT review. Thank you for your attention and have a great time! [link] [comments]

[META] Petition to squash play store-bashing posts Posted: 27 Jan 2020 08:35 AM PST It seems like every day there's a new post from someone who thinks they're the first person to point out how atrocious the Play Store is and it's starting to ruin this sub for me. If I'm in the minority, that's fine, I'll suck it up and leave it alone but I suspect I'm not the only one who's tired of reading new posts that say nothing more than "The Play Store doesn't have any good games!" or "Why is every game on the Play Store F2P garbage!?" I get it - there's a lot of crap out there and it's tough to find anything worthwhile in the sea of rubbish. I'm not contesting that. But there are many good games out there and this sub is one of the places where you can find/discuss recommendations for those good games. I'm just wondering if anyone else feels like it's not adding to the discussion (and is actually detracting from the general Android gaming experience the sub is supposed to be promoting) to have to read a brand new post every day that's just complaining about shit apps. My question is this - if there's a signficant number of folks who agree with this sentiment, can the mods make a rule to ban these types of useless posts? EDIT: u/sniper_fox suggested a monthly megathread for these types of posts and that seems like a more reasonable solution than a full ban. [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Jan 2020 11:20 PM PST I'm looking for a RPG that is PvE orientated and not too repetitive at end game. Whether it is online or offline, paid or f2p doesn't matter as long as it is not a p2w. Games I play(ed) and a few things I liked about them: (old-school)Runescape: questing, slow progression, variety of content, continuous updates, unique combat system. AnimA: skill trees, permanent stat upgrade from achievements, real-time combat. Another Eden: turn-based,(character)quests, storyline, continuous updates. Epic Conquest: story-line, unlockable character through gameplay. Grimvalor: combat system, simple gear crafting, storyline. Vampires fall:origin : turn-based combat system, skill tree, character customization (slash build, Blunt, etc.), story line. Thanks for your help and sorry for the format, I'm on mobile. I need help please, recommendations wanted Posted: 27 Jan 2020 11:24 AM PST Basically, the only mobile game that has ever kept my interest is king of avalon. It is made by the makers of guns of glory, similar to war and order. I need to get away from it because it is a huge p2w platform. For those not familiar with it, you basically grind rss to build your castle and buildings within it, train troops, research, etc. The end game is combat against other castles and monsters and players, etc. I would like something similar that is not strictly p2w. I like the grind, as long as free players can access everything in game. I dont mind paying for the game either. Thanks fam! [link] [comments]
What mobile game should everyone play at least once? Posted: 27 Jan 2020 11:08 AM PST As the title says what android game would you tell someone to play if they have never played any mobile games before? My recommendation would have to be Night of the Full Moon Link (Let's try to exclude ports of older games, ports of pc games to mobile and emulators) [link] [comments]

Posted: 27 Jan 2020 10:46 AM PST I'm looking for an Android Emulator that runs on Windows 10 and is safe, has no bloatware and generally good to use. Main purpose is to run the Kindle app, but would be good if it could run messaging and video calling apps like WhatsApp. Don't really care about using it for gaming, but if it does that would be another plus. So far from reading in here, it looks like Menu, MuMu, AMIDuOs, Genymotion and native android sdk/Android_x86 seem to be safe. Is that still the case, and what is best one(s) these days?
