Fix for apps not launching after sleep mode

I've had my hisense for a few months and beside the poor performance of the Android tv itself my biggest issue is after the tv sleeps some apps just won't launch. Like Hulu, prime, Netflix. Sometimes forcing the app to close fixes but typically I have to unplug and plug in the tv (power button just puts it in sleep mode again)

I recently bought my first Android TV, is a Nordmende smart tv, maybe one of cheapest model (32", HD ready, 1gb ram, 8gb memory), and i have several questions: is this smart tv good? How can i transfert files with my phone using a usb cable? What's the best file manager? Which app i need most?
