How Do You Decide When to Delete Games From Your Phone?

    Posted: 21 Nov 2019 11:35 AM PST

Hello, r/AndroidGaming. Recently I started a review series on my blog. The goal is to look at all of the games on my phone and decide if I want to keep on playing these games or delete them.

How do you determine if you will leave a game on your phone or delete it?

    Odd Controller Issues

Controller: Gamesir 4s Phone: Note 10+

I'm not sure if this is am allowed post, but please help me. My controller, for some reason, continually connects to my phone as a keyboard, and I can't seem to get it to function as a controller. Does anyone know how to fix this? I've tried all the ways I know to connect it, and even wired it seems to not function right. The controller worked fine on my LG V20. Any help is appreciated.

    Similar Game to Dynasty Duels

    Posted: 21 Nov 2019 12:06 PM PST

Hi, I am looking for a game which is similar to Dynasty Duels: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gamebasics.dynastyduels&hl=us in short it seems to be Clash Royale but then done in an RTS fashion with base building.

I would also appreciate any tips on new RTS games which have only recently released on mobile (already got Bad North).

    Single Player CCG on android

    Posted: 20 Nov 2019 04:46 PM PST

Just wanted to post a few card games for android. Most below aren't CCG and are more RogueLite types. Really miss Lost Portal CCG for ios, but sadly that game apparently never got ported to android.

    1. MeteorFall : A simple card game, 5 playable characters, where you get new cards and level them up until the final boss fight. Pretty addicting and with good replayability.
    2. Night of a Full Moon : Started off as a rip off of Dream Quest but after coming back to it now after a few years, it seems to have evolved a bit more. Also a game where you buy new cards and level up your character. 7 playable characters, and it costs 6$ to buy them all. Also addictive.
    3. Card Crawl and Solitairica : Both are pretty simple, and let's you play in quick sessions. Solitairica has different "characters" to play and level up system after death.

Any good turn based single player card games suggestions would be great. I enjoyed HearthStone's gameplay, but I prefer playing single player, plus that game became to big/bloated imo and basically is "pay to win" now, which I abhor.

FlareX immortal. I have been following this game through its development, you it's a diablo like rpg. Though still in its early stagesz it can't scratch that itch for a good arpg till POE releases.

Looking for a game with progression that I can play on my commute

    Posted: 20 Nov 2019 01:41 PM PST

Hi everyone. As I am getting little time to play games on my pc I am falling to android gaming.

I am searching for a game that has the following characteristics:

    • can be played at any time for short bursts and does not punish you if not played for a while

    • has a sense of progression. In terms of base upgrading/gear upgrading or monster upgrading

    • non p2w if online. Offline games are OK too.

Ideally it would be something like base building mixed with rogue like. Something I can think about is fallout shelter and recettear making a child. Maybe keeperrl is something to look into but no Android unfortunately.

    Thanks for the help!

Is there a way to emulate older Android versions for gaming?

    Posted: 20 Nov 2019 01:04 PM PST

I have an apk of Dungeon Raid (great puzzle rpg from 2011). I installed it on my Pixel XL 2... but it runs SUPER slow. The animations crawl. I read around a bit and it seems it's (obviously) made for older versions of android. I'd really like to play this game again, so I thought I'd ask around if anyone knew of an emulator (for the phone and for older versions) or some kind of trick I could use to see if I can run it smoother.

I also ran it on Nox and it works great. Not sure why it's different there.

    Help me finding this game

    Posted: 20 Nov 2019 10:13 PM PST

There was a hack and slash type of rpg I used to play 4-5 years ago. I can't seem to remember it's name now. It looked and played similar to this game Legacy of warrior.

I don't remember much but the characters were Chinese or japanese based. There were boss levels. One particular level I remember is the one on a ship. Oh also a special skill i remember is summoning a big snake or dragon like creature. If anyone knows what I'm talking about please help me. Thank you

    Soda Dungeon 2 Hype!

    Posted: 20 Nov 2019 08:30 PM PST

the sequel to my favorite android mmo, i honestly cant wait!

once it comes out i will def give a review, but right now the soundtrack seems amazing! if its more carbonated beverage action i will be stoked, as after stage 1k the original soda dungeon ends up really grindy, and has no more goals.

overall i just hope that its as good as the original, because if it is it should def top charts, at least for a while
