Small Compilation of Cozy Games 🍃

    Posted: 28 Apr 2022 05:15 PM PDT

I made this list for my friends a while ago, and now i want to share it with you guys too!, these games have generally a nice, calm vibe and have helped me relax.

Feel free to add your own suggestions in the comments! i'll be adding more games to this list as i find them.

Also remember that "cozy" is a subjective term, so what i find cozy, you might not (and viceversa) and that's ok.

i love hue: color based puzzle, probably my fave from the whole list ♡ it also has a sequel.

dear my cat: idle game where you welcome different kitties into your island and decorate it. i think it was implied that this island is heaven.

zen shards: idle game. idk why this is relaxing to me but it might be to you too :> (also "shard" lol)

    • anything by hyperbeard!

    • anything by kairosoft! personal fave: dungeon village.

cats and soup: cute idle game where you manage a restaurant ran by cats.

    • anything by prismathunder! personal fave: necromancer.

    • anything by npckc! most of their games are also on itch.io and steam too.

bistro heroes: anime rpg where you fight monsters and decorate a restaurant.

    • anything by arnold rauers!

kotodama diary: weird little game where you develp different creatures by choosing random words when they grow up. you can also decorate your home.

idle life sim: idle game where you create a character, decorate your home, and upgrade different aspects of your skills to progress on your career.

sky: children of light: story based mmo, top tier aesthetics and sound design, it does have some stressful parts tho. it's by the same devs as journey.

tap wizard 2: idle rpg where you manage a wizard, has very nice graphics and music and i find it very cozy even though it's combat oriented.

    Retro console emulators?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2022 05:27 PM PDT

Let's be honest. Mobile gaming sucks ass. However an emulator for retro consoles and arcade games would be pretty cool. Are there ones for android I can sideload?

I'm looking for a portrait mode game that's a roguelike/lite. Any suggestions? I generally don't like card based games, but other then that I'm open for whatever.

A "good" experience with BlueStacks support

    Posted: 28 Apr 2022 04:50 PM PDT

I was asking whether I can use fullscreen instead of borderless windowed mode in Bluestack. And the reply of the support gives me the impression that he has no idea what fullscreen and borderless windowed are, and they didn't even bother to google it. Why? Because the support starts asking unrelated stuff, e.g. which app is affected.

Since I have experienced it twice already, once in an email, once in r/BlueStacks. So I take a screenshot of the conversation and post it on r/BlueStacks, ranting about how incompetent BlueStack supports are. Guess what? The BlueStack staff can't take it and permanently ban me from their little zone because I was too aggressive?

    Interesting...

[Request] Games similar to "A&M" and "A dark room"?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2022 06:51 AM PDT

Hey all, I've recently played through "Armory & Machine" and "A dark room" via a friend's recommendation, and I have to admit - I was thoroughly impressed. I've always thought of the (native) mobile game market to be oversaturated with unengaging and p2w "games" aside from the occasional gem, but after my experience with the aforementioned titles I've decided to see if anyone else has a good recommendation.

    Requirements (or lack thereof)

    • No p2w or excessive in-app purchases
    • Captures the same charm as A&M and ADR
    • Simplistic (I'm not going to play a 3d adventure game on mobile, lol)
    • Story driven (this is more of a preference than a requirement, but the little anecdotes in ADR and A&M were amazing)

    Thanks!

    Can't find a knight related tycoon/idle game

    Posted: 28 Apr 2022 01:22 PM PDT

The game is about a knight that you sort of control, you can tap on him and he will give a random chat pop-up. This game is some sort of a tycoon like you can come across nowadays. You could upgrade his sword, armor and shield, I might be wrong, but I think dragons were a bit involved into the game, not sure though.

Recommendations for Real-Time, PvP Strategy/Tactics Games

    Posted: 28 Apr 2022 01:12 PM PDT

I'm looking for a game that doesn't require sinking in money constantly or griding out endlessly to have the same options as top players.
I recently picked up Star Realms and am in love with the game and the IAP model. Any recommendations on PvP games with a similar pricing model with quick games? (Star Realms is 5-10 minutes per match) Thanks!

Astrodrift Racing - A challenging top Down 2d retro space racer

    Hi all!
Solo developer here with my second game, a year in the making so far.
Astrodrift Racing is a challenging 2d physics based retro style space drift racer!
I truly believe this is a great fun game (I enjoy playing it myself) and I literally can't find anything similar on the Play Store so thought I'd push it and see where I can take it.

It's completely free to try (2 ships, 2 tracks) with a single IAP to unlock the full game (£3.49) - Buy me a beer? :-)
    NO ads, microtransactions or pay-to-win!

    Features:
    - 2D graphics with a retro style and great lighting.
    - Newtonian physics based 2d racing where you're ship will continue to drift while you turn.
    - Unlock stars by beating star times and the challenging AI to progress the game.
    - The AI does not run by wire, they deal with the same physics you do and sometimes make mistakes making the races feel very organic.
    - Currently 12 ships and 12 tracks (all reversible, making 24) - I do plan on adding more tracks but this is already dozens of hours of gameplay.
    - Online leader boards.
    - Works completely offline; all online features are optional.
    - Race against your own best ghost and other players ghosts.

I hope others enjoy it as much as me.

Games with quick multiplayer tournament game modes like 8-Ball pool?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2022 07:06 AM PDT

Title. I have been playing lately to 8 Ball pool quite a lot, and really like the tournament game mode the game has, essentially for those who do not know:

Multiplayer game mode which matches 8 players into a tournament draft.

Is there any other multiplayer mobile game with this kind of tournament game mode you could suggest me?

Any good RPG F2P not extremely P2W?

    Posted: 28 Apr 2022 12:23 AM PDT

Well not exactly not P2W, I dont mind PVP that much so I wouldnt care if I couldnt beat ppl who paid for game content, as long as game is still enjoyable as F2P user, and not heavly PVP focused.

I havnt tried that many games, I played crash fever long ago and I liked it
Story mode was long, you had to play the game for a long time to beat it all, there was event quests which also were hard, farm was heavy but.. it was enjoyable and there was also co-op for event quests so it was fun
