Fun fact: The Android calculator uses computable numbers, not floats. This means you can see the results of calculations to arbitrary precision.

    Posted: 21 Mar 2022 06:05 PM PDT

Go to the calculator! You can scroll to the thousandth digit of pi, and then keep going. You can't do this with most calculators.

This is because the Android calculator uses a very fancy trick, called "computable numbers". These don't suffer from the precision problems that floats do.

Repainter 1.20 adds new Material You theme styles for unrooted Android 13 and One UI 4.X devices

    Posted: 22 Mar 2022 08:34 AM PDT

Tweet by Kdrag0n announcing the update.

    Repainter 1.2.0 is out!

    Highlights:

    • Quick, guided one-time setup for unrooted Pixel and 12L devices (much easier; no need for Shizuku)

    • New theme styles for unrooted Android 13 DP2, Samsung (One UI 4.x), and all rooted devices

    Setup process video

    New styles with custom theming

Repainter costs $4.99 on Google Play, but I highly recommend the app if you like theming your phone, especially if your phone is rooted. This app also conveniently lets you enable those new Material You dynamic themes in Android 13 DP2 without needing root, if you'd prefer not to use those ADB commands that I revealed.
