| Looking for Backdrop photo chess pieces Posted: 13 Feb 2022 09:56 AM PST This may sound silly, and I usually have a pretty good grasp on google-foo, but I cannot for the life of me find one specific photo from the stock backdrop/screensaver for my tcl/android TV. It's the one with the chess pieces with the queen is leaning on/holding up the king. It comes up seemingly every other month and I'd really like to find the original. Any help/tips? | Google TV weird home video look and other issues Posted: 13 Feb 2022 12:19 PM PST Why is it that everything that's Dolby Vision and plays through Google TV looks like that flat home video and can anything be done about it ? I have it set to match content and 4K60hz though changing to 24hz doesn't do anything about the issue. Also, why does it go to the home page when I cast from my home? Why doesn't it switch automatically to the cast content like the previous versions? Sound is also out of sync so so far I pretty much regret upgrading... [link] [comments] | ||

I would use it mostly for watching HBO Max and Disney+ which will come to my country (Hungary) soon. I also have a 120GB external HDD for watching other movies and would use the box via 5Ghz wi-fi. But most importantly, I want to use/control it via my PC, while my family would watch it on the TV at the same time. (I'm disabled and can't use the remote control.) | Blaupunkt TV USB loud popping when playing a video & other issues Posted: 13 Feb 2022 02:50 AM PST Hello, does anyone happen to know what can cause a Blaupunkt Android TV USB to make a loud popping sound whenever I try to start a video? Am also having a weird issue where the device randomly restarts entirely AND (as of a few minutes ago) has started having audio work but not video and if I rewind the whole thing freezes (using Plex app). Am trying to work out whether it's the app or my USB starting to fail (in which case I may have to get another Android TV device). [link] [comments] | ||

Posted: 13 Feb 2022 07:59 AM PST I remember that the BBC iPlayer is only available to download through the Play Store on a small list of certified Android TV devices: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/help/questions/supported-devices You had to side load the app instead on all the other devices. I can't find any .apks newer than the one I already had (v4.0.23.35620 from November 2021). Anybody know where I can find a newer version or if there's a way to bypass the forced update? Should I still go for the Onn or just spent the extra 25 dollars for the chromecast with Google TV? | TCL TV and external hard drive? Posted: 12 Feb 2022 04:33 PM PST Hi there, fine folks. I've got a TCL 65e17NUS amd a 5TB Seagate hard drive. Whenever I plug it in, it comes up with "corrupted Seagate drive" even though the hard drive is 100% fine. Tried the same thing with a 2TB drive and it worked fine. Is 5TB too large for this TV? I'm having difficulty finding any clear information online. [link] [comments] | ||

I presume it's a software issue - I've emailed TCL with the issue but wondering if anyone has a fix? [link] [comments] |
