Google Play asking for proof of organization even though I set up a personal account?

    Posted: 27 Feb 2022 01:30 PM PST

Google play is asking for me to provide proof of organization even though I listed I'm a hobbyist. I double checked, and yes, I have a personal account.

I did name the account a generic brand name of my own imaginiation because I didn't want people to be able to see my name--did Google somehow detect this? Or is it a normal requirement to provide proof of organization these days?

Back button exit confirmation - recommended behaviour?

    Posted: 27 Feb 2022 04:24 PM PST

Something I've been thinking about today is pressing the back button when there's no previous screen in the app to go back to. I've seen this handled in a few different ways:

    • Close the app.
    • Minimise the app.
    • Confirm if the user wants to exit with a dialogue box.
    • Require two presses of the back button in quick succession to exit, with a toast prompting the user about this.
    • Do nothing.

It's such a mess with different apps doing different things that I'm wondering if there's any "official" guidance on this? All these examples apply to ordinary apps - not games or anything else where there's a sizable wait time for the app to reopen.
