    How to set CCwGTV as the default boot device?

    I bought the CCwGTV recently for my Android 9 TV. I can't find any setting to boot the TV directly into HDMI device. Is it possible? Am I missing something?

    Unable to install YouTube on Chromecast with google tv (ccwgtv)

    So with a couple different peoples Google account, when I set up a ccwgtv, out of the box it asks me to install plex, disney + etc, but no YouTube. And when I search the store for YouTube to install the app, it's nowhere. But when I set up a ccwgtv using my personal Google account, set up in the same country with the same region, I have YouTube pre-installed after initial setup. I don't know if it's a bug, an account setting for region or something, and if so how do I change it.

    Could anyone familiar with this smack some knowledge on me please.

    These same Google accounts that are unable to install YouTube on a ccwgtv have no such issue on an nvidia shield or xiaomi mibox s.

    AndroidTV for wireless office presentations (airplay, chromecast, etc)

    Hi there, I am looking to setup all my office meeting rooms with Android TV Boxes to do streaming for presentations.

    I am wondering if anyone has experience doing this and which box would you recommend. We now have appletv, but I have users who are on windows and thus plan to replace all with a more universal tv box. I don't want HDMI cables flying around the room...

    I wanted to use only "branded" boxes that come with some resemblance of support.

    • Xiaomi MiBox
    • Google Chromecast
    • Nvidia shield

    I would love to receive any sharing of experience, alternatives, etc.

    Old Launcher even after Android 10 Update

    I got Android 10 update on my Sony x900h TV but it's still showing the old launcher. Not the updated one which is included in Google TV.

    Mi TV Stick not receiving updates & absolute volume

    About 1 or 2 months ago I got a Mi TV Stick. I'm happy with it, but it seems to be stuck on the October 2020 update (build PI.832). I want to update it for the CPU OC and the connect/disconnect button for BT headphones, but everytime I go to the update page it says I'm up to date. I've also tried this, but as soon as I enter recovery it stops being detected by ADB. Tried both US and Germany region (where I live isn't available), and also reset the device.

    Also is there any way to disable absolute volume? I find 3 to be quiet while 4 is loud.

    Play a Slideshow? (powerpoint or equivalent)

    Hello! I have a portable android tv projector I'd like to use for business presentations on the road. I have slide decks in PPT that can be converted to google slides, or whatever is needed to be compatible.

    I'm looking for a way to plug in a USB with my PPT, and play it on my projector. Preferably no internet connection required.

    The best I've seen is to convert the slides to images and scroll through them like an image slideshow, which limits me from adding video, animations, etc., but even then the media players I've seen don't have good controls. They either do a timed play of one image at a time like a slideshow, that you have to pause, fast forward, etc., or you have to browse around each image.

    I have seen Zoho Show, but that requires internet which is flaky in some of my locations and not dependable during a presentation. I don't want a presentation to fail because the internet went down.

    Any options?

    Paramount+ keeps randomly waking my shield (and TV and AVR) even after disabling notifications

    After some Googling I found out how to figure out what kept waking my shield. Turns out it's Paramount+ via something called Braze v15.0.0 .com.braze.push.BrazeNotificationsUtils

    So I went into the app's settings and disabled notifications and even after doing so it's still waking it up.

    So I uninstalled it and it went away but my wife wanted to watch something on it so she reinstalled it last night and low and behold it woke my Shield up again.

    Anyone run into this and have any recommendation to fix other than uninstalling?

    Xiaomi compact projector not updating

    Hello, I'm having troubles with my system update in my xiaomi compact projector (which runs android tv).

    It just tells me updates temporarily unavailable, try again later.

    It's been like this for months

    Has anyone experienced this issue? Thanks in advance

    Netflix stopped working in Mi box

    After a few months that I haven't used the Mi Box S i plugged it in just to find out that Netflix has stopped working. The error code is ui-800-3. I checked online and tried everything that the Netflix site advised. Restart, reset, clear data and cache, unistall and reinstall! Nothing seems to work.

    Can you please help? Any ideas?

    Sideloading a phone version of an app

    I'm trying to get the phone version of ProtonVPN onto my android TV, but it loads the android TV version when I install it. I've tried sideloading by sharing the actual installed APK from my phone, as well as the APK from github, but it ends with the same result. Is there anyway to force the APK to use the phone version?

    I mainly want to do this because the android TV version is lacking compared to the mobile version.
