Time for a new Android TV box to replace my MeCool M8S PRO L that is nearly 3 years old .... Posted: 26 Sep 2021 09:59 PM PDT and still running android 7 Nougat. I can tell its fading and not keeping up. So what Android TV box out there is super cheap, is rooted, runs Android 11 ( or will get Android 11 and 12 etc ) has around 4GB ram / 64GB rom and I dont need DRM netflix since I just use KODI, iptv etc ? oh and great cooling is top importance too, I dont want to run fans just for a box. I dont play the heat producing game stuff just watch tv. Oh and a good remote that doesn't need that mouse toggle app something more modern than that setup. Any reccomendations ? and why ? prefer 50-70 bucks range [link] [comments]
Sudden restart of MiBox 3 on Android 9 Posted: 26 Sep 2021 10:39 AM PDT Hello everybody. I've been having this problem for over a year now. You see, when I'm playing a video from external storage on MX Player, all of the sudden, the MiBox restarts. It's completely random. One time, I did a factory reset, installed the few apps I use and the very next day, restart in the middle of a video. But another time, after several reinstalls, the MiBox lasted 4 weeks without restarts. I tried everything to fix this: 1.- Different versions of MX Player: official and modded versions, old, new, different settings, you name it. Different video players work but they're crap next to MX, they don't have the functions I need. I don't use versions past 1.32 because there are a couple of implementations they did I don't like and it's impossible to change them on TV, only in mobile devices.
I don't do streaming so I only connect to the internet so the MiBox sets the right time. That's it. I unplugged it when I don't use it because it keeps the light of the portable HDD on, and it really bothers me. And the MiBox is not overheating as some people suggest is the case with the restarts. The room is cold and I touched the device several times, it's perfectly fine while playing content. Anybody has a suggestion??? Thanks in advance. [link] [comments]
Posted: 26 Sep 2021 02:07 PM PDT Hi, I have a TCL 50CL71 running AndroidTV 9. I hardly ever use it to watch TV, so I did not care about it too much, but now I have noticed that the numbers that are assigned to the various channels have gaps. So for example I have channel 1, channel 2, up to channel 6, but then the next channel number is 11. I can manually edit channel 11 and assign a new number to it (7 say) but I wonder if there was a way to automatically renumber all channels to simply assign increasing numbers without any gaps... Is there a way to do that and how come there are gaps in the first place? Many thanks! [link] [comments]
How to trick nfl gamepass to run an apk mobile version in TV? Posted: 26 Sep 2021 09:56 AM PDT Hi, I'm trying to run the NFL GAMEPASS int mobile version on my android TV. Both are very similar but the mobile one can hide score, and the other not. The problem is... is the same APK, I think the apk recognizes the device and change the presentation. Is there anyway to trick the apk that I'm using a different device? [link] [comments] |
