Lost in translation. How do I get style/typography names from my designer who uses XD? Posted: 25 Sep 2021 03:44 AM PDT So we have a problem which we cannot solve right now and I think it is because we don't know the possibilities of our tools. Our designer has a design system in XD with different typographies, colors with names, elements like buttons etc. She builds a design and creates an Adobe XD link for us developers. But we can only see the raw values what the elements have. Like textsite, font, thickness, color values etc. We won't see that the text is the same typography as the screen we built last week so we should create a style for that. We don't see that the button is the same we have in other parts of the app so we should create a style for that. We have to look for this manually, although our designer has these informations in XD but they dont get exported. Is there a way to solve this? Can Zeplin do this? Posted: 24 Sep 2021 02:10 PM PDT When I started with android development few months back I was so naive about relationship Android(Google) and developers. My initial view was something like Lets build stuff together, untill we are not intentionaly bad actors, we are free to create and build. Now I am realizing how mych Google hijacked original (opensource smatphone OS) idea to create massive monopoly to serve their bussines plan. We developers are bound by many strict Google rulez designed to.maximize Google profit on our expense. a)you can be terminated anytime without option of appeal or entity of arbiter b) rules can be / and are changed even retrospectively c) even such features as in app donations are considered illegal because G cant have a cut from it There is active resistance from G to have independent app marketplace 3) phone manufacturers are paid and influenced by G to limit our options and force us to use G services 4) Whole Android community is acting as huge data provider to G feeding them with data about lives and actions of every user. To me looks like we are only "allowed" to participate under premise that we will help G earn.more $$ and to build their empire bigger and stronger. Really interested to hear your opinions on this. USB Debugging RSA Fingerprint authentication box disappear without selecting any of the option Posted: 25 Sep 2021 05:06 AM PDT Hey Devs, I recently tried to setup a Flutter App Development Environment in Android Studio Emulator as of till now I was using a physical device due to my low specs laptop but now i've upgraded it so I'm thinking to setup a proper flutter dev env . But as I tried to setup the env everything works fine but I'm not able to Allow USB Debugging RSA Fingerprint for the Laptop The Main problem is whenever the popup appears but as soon as possible I'm trying to allow it but then it suddenly disappears. I didn't found any solution googling on the web. Logcat/ADB question: can I determine a reason why my phone's display is constantly waking up? Posted: 24 Sep 2021 02:33 PM PDT Hi, Quick intro: Today my Pixel 3 screen starts spontaneously waking up, especially while charging. It wakes up a couple of times in a minute on average while charging (both wired and wireless, different chargers), after disconnecting the charger, the phone wakes up several additional times in a couple of minutes and then wakes up several times in an hour. Maybe, some power-saving mechanism suppress wakeups. The phone is Pixel 3 with the most recent updates (Septermber 2021 update), Android 11. I've turned off display wakeup on notifications, double-tap, and phone lifting but it does not help, so I decided to install ADB and according to logs, it looks like some application does this, but I don't see which one. Could anyone give me a direction for further digging, please? I'm a desktop software developer, so I haven't managed to get more details yes.
